12:37 Once I dreamed that Fiona said "the babies are malfunctioning" and one of them looked like this, and another one of them had worms coming out of its orifices
If I remember correctly I think it was a failed attempt to make Jack-Jack turn into goo while Syndrome was holding him... And I think it's for the best that it didn't work because it's terrifying lol
As someone with a decent amount of 3D knowledge, I think some of these are intentional in some way. For example, Shrek and Donkey having horribly distorted faces feels like someone messing around with the model. However, not all are intentional, and here I'll provide some insight as to what may be happening. (NOTE: These are all just speculation on my part) The Toy Story ones are probably due to inexperience with 3D or old software being buggy. The fuzzy Donkey is probably unrendered hair simulations, making the hair stick straight out instead of laying against his body. This could have been done as a test before Donkey's hair was "combed" into place, since that's about when the model would be finished. (minus the hair grooming of course) I think the camera test for the "picking up the princess" is either them using the wrong camera animation (I think the one used on accident was a scene of Fiona jumping and kicking some people?), or they're just checking a 360 view for some reason. I'd say most likely the former. "Big Thumb" princess, to my knowledge, shouldn't have happened. I have no idea how this one managed to happen. The missing face one is more like missing head, since the head, hair, eyes, and teeth are all USUALLY separate parts. Perhaps someone forgot to add in or move the head mesh. Twisted Character seems like either some bones were linked wrong or some normals/weight paints got REALLY messed up. Fiona losing her skirt looks like a cloth simulation error. Either that and it was meant to be an intentional joke for adults, but it got cut. (though if that were the case we'd probably never hear about it) Both errors with Shrek's head are probably selection errors. For the second one, whenever they were selecting the parts that would bounce, the selection accidentally also included the bone at the very top of Shrek's head, hence why it also bounces. I don't think the invisible horse is an error. It's either they didn't have a horse model yet OR they just wanted to see what he'd look like without the horse as a joke. The fuzzy Puss in Boots thing is the same as fuzzy Donkey. Loose mouth Donkey I believe is similar to the bouncing Shrek head. When selecting his tongue, they also accidentally grabbed the tip of his mouth. Disappearing Oscar is one of the most bizarre errors I've seen so far. No clue why it's happening, probably a corrupted file or something. As we can see with the help of the Incredibles, hair sims are tricky to nail down, and parenting objects to the correct things is very important. T-posing Violet actually might be an easy one to explain. She wasn't supposed to be rendered in yet, but we can still see her model waiting to be "called in," since her movement snaps into place once the branch gets to her. It's like how in video games objects are stored under or way above the stage until they're needed. Some of the ones from Shrek the Third are obviously just added in for fun, namely the switching between face shape keys for Shrek and some of the very early animation tests. The ONLY thing I have to say about Tangled is that their complicated hair sims are VERY impressive. T-posing Merida is going to haunt my nightmares now. That cat head Baymax is great. Gotta love when the animators decide to mess around and just have fun. For BH6, I think because rendering and 3D software is so much more advanced these days, there weren't all that many things that messed up, so the animators just added in some things they did as jokes to justify adding in a compilation at all.
you should summary explain it, also if you wondering why character was glitched because due corruption ‘code script’ that reason how character looks glitched, No, they didn’t do joking anything character movement like that, because it’s THEIR job to do, If fired.
Missing face Fiona, at least where she telling Shrek to remove his helmet, looks like they accidentally scaled her skin model _way_ up, since you can see giant legs behind her. I remember those Shrek bloopers in the bonus features of the DVD, the commentary mentioned things like that would happen when someone accidentally entered the wrong value for some part of the model or animation Judging by the desynced Fiona and her skirt animation earlier, the overall model for each character was several distinct models (which probably made cloth simulations that much easier)
I don't know anything about 3d animation nor am I going to read all that but you aso have to keep in mind most of these were made in the early 2000's, I'm sure the technology was vastly different back then
The Twisting Characters (and floating fish) errors are likely because they didn't put a stop keyframe for the characters or the function didn't stop at the right time, so they just keep going in their direction, becoming heavily distorted and/or goofy. It's kinda like a datamosh glitch, though less intentional. And the big thumb can be easily explained to me. In that it can be a beta Fiona model and it compiled with a number screwups, causing the thumb to swell up. It's still an error that can be possible, though as the other guys said, technology (especially 3D tech for 3D animated movies) was still relatively inaccessible and buggy. It's like how SFMers just cope and try to work in it, even though Blender nowadays can blow chunks out of its abdomen and S2FM is slowly becoming more accessible.
I've worked on 3d animation for 5 years now and all i can say to this is "yeah, it is that hard to make it right" usually even more i can tell they had like millions of bad takes on every single one of this movies, at first it is fun, then it gets frustrating

The fuzzy Donkey is probably unrendered hair simulations, making the hair stick straight out instead of laying against his body. This could have been done as a test before Donkey's hair was "combed" into place, since that's about when the model would be finished. (minus the hair grooming of course)
I think the camera test for the "picking up the princess" is either them using the wrong camera animation (I think the one used on accident was a scene of Fiona jumping and kicking some people?), or they're just checking a 360 view for some reason.
(though if that were the case we'd probably never hear about it)

Judging by the desynced Fiona and her skirt animation earlier, the overall model for each character was several distinct models (which probably made cloth simulations that much easier)
