Serious Theory Time: I believe Indiana Joe had a similar issue as Ram Man in He-Man. The character designers were still figuring out what Joe's face would look like, and sent the empty-face model sheets to animation so they could get a head start, adding the faces later when they've finished them. Due to either miscommunication, laziness, or lack of time, the empty-face animation was sent to production before the face was finished and added.
That was my thought, they probably had to figure out how to skirt likeness rights, while still looking like indy, and they didnt finish face design before production

the flying part in the dexter episode, is one of the things I remember the most of that episode, imagine it being just an error... mistakes into miracles.
I was confused by that scene in Dexters Lab too. I thought that the crowd was so enthalled by those animatronic that they flew into the curtains to join them.
I thought it was Dexter's vision playing tricks on him as I had moments where I thought I saw something but instead it was something else. Plus that's what the rest of that scene was making us think after he lost his glasses so I considered it part of that.
That Dexter animation error made me laugh SO HARD when I saw it, and without even hearing the explanation I just KNEW it has to be one of those situations where a mistake happened but it was too funny to take out. I know that if I got my animation back from overseas and that happened I would also just add a sound effect.

Those interviewers know about the basics of cartoons and they know that those questions are stupid. They intentionally ask stupid, annoying questions they already know the answers to, to provoke and anger the people they're interviewing. They constantly hound and harass celebrities on the spot in the hopes that they'll capture a "freakout" on tape. Anything for the clicks and attention, cause drama sells. Matt was onto their shit, which is why he answered those questions calmly. He handled it well.

Actually, Indiana Joe DID have a fully drawn face, but they sent in an earlier model sheet that was made before they drew his face. So again, it's one of those situations where people didn't question the rules they follow. I don't really remember who said this exactly, but I believe it was Logstin.

I remember seeing the episode of the Mario show where Indiana Joe shows up when I was a kid, and I never questioned why he didn't have a face. I just sort of accepted his facelessnes, because nothing else in the Mario series makes any sense, so why not have a character who randomly has no face.

Not necessarily an animation error, but an interesting back story. In the original pilot episode for ‘Rocko’s Modern Life’, Rocko is yellow, just how the creator, Joe Murray designed him. When the crew started producing the episodes, Nickelodeon were searching for toy companies to create some merchandise for Rocko before the show began airing. One company was interested in making plush toys of Rocko, but the problem was they already had a property that was yellow and looked similar to Rocko’s design. Nickelodeon urged Joe Murray to change the color of Rocko in the show, so that they could start making toys. Joe wasn’t happy about this and strongly opposed as the whole show was designed around Rocko’s yellow color, change that and they’d have to change everything else in the show too. But ultimately, the powers of Viacom were too much for Murray and had to change Rocko’s color from appealing yellow, to ugly beige. Murray had to come to terms that he no longer owned the rights to Rocko, Nickelodeon did. Joe murray still HATES that color, to this day. And for the final kick in the balls, in the end, the big toy company pulled out and they didn’t make any Rocko toys. So the whole color change in the show was pointless.
I like the beige a lot better honestly. I think it oddly stands out just enough with the show and the rest of the characters who have these vivid colors.

Season 2: Omega Supreme recounts how the Autobot Constructicons were reprogrammed on Cybertron. Season 3: In a flashback *eight* Constructicons are shown building Megatron.
That was intentional, youtubers can choose where on there video they want ads. (That is if they're even lucky enough to have any in the first place. Oh, and the video also has to be over 10 minutes long)
Oh yeah, the DiC Mario series had it reeeal bad. I have the DVD collection of the Super Mario World series and I've seen things from animation cel numbers in the corner to spontaneous W2 forms like the one Pan showed off. Sometimes you even see the bottom of the cels where the characters are cut off. It's baffling.

I could really care less if there's a abundance of errors in the first few seasons of The Simpsons. At least the animation itself was still expressively fluid before Klasky Csupo got booted off from the project. And as far as Bart's blue t-shirt goes, I've always accepted it as some kind of an early design choice by the creator himself before he decided to settle with the classic red/orange shirt that we've all come to know real well. I've never really understood of why so many people had to overanalyze that specific detail. Like seriously, it's just a t-shirt for crying out loud.

Last night I discovered a weird animation error in the Star Wars the Clone Wars movie. When Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan are discussing a plan to get rid of the Separatists' shield in the first thirty minutes of the movie, you can see Captain Rex without his helmet, which isn't uncommon, but it looks like his head wasn't finished. If you've seen behind the scenes of the Clone Wars or the unfinished episodes, it's eerily similar to how the helmetless clones look in those. It's so bizarre.
A lot of cartoon characters have 4 fingers so I wouldn't really question that I've heard it's easier to animate and I've heard the reason the Simpsons are yellow is so they stand out when people are looking through the channels I know a lot of people have heard of this but I still thought I'd mention it

Why nobody ever mentions that in a scene Indiana Joe DOES have some tiny eyes. Just one scene, so that confirms the mistake. Either he was designed with eyes and they forgot to drew them, or he was designed without eyes and they somehow mistakenly added them in that scene.
They were gonna use a caricature of Harrison Ford but due to lawsuits they cut it and had the animators do it faceless until they could come up with a replacement face but it ended up going through as the faceless version anyway.
That interviewer was barking for something to write some drama off of. Also, with every video I watch in which someone says Matt Groening's name I hear a different version of his last name. I remember seeing the episode of the Mario show where Indiana Joe shows up when I was a kid, and I never questioned why he didn't have a face. I just sort of accepted his facelessnes, because nothing else in the Mario series makes any sense, so why not have a character who randomly has no face.
Yeah, wasn't there a character from one of the Batman cartoons where they had a guy who had no face too? Reminded me a lot of that, so I assumed it wasn't an error.

In the original pilot episode for ‘Rocko’s Modern Life’, Rocko is yellow, just how the creator, Joe Murray designed him. When the crew started producing the episodes, Nickelodeon were searching for toy companies to create some merchandise for Rocko before the show began airing. One company was interested in making plush toys of Rocko, but the problem was they already had a property that was yellow and looked similar to Rocko’s design. Nickelodeon urged Joe Murray to change the color of Rocko in the show, so that they could start making toys. Joe wasn’t happy about this and strongly opposed as the whole show was designed around Rocko’s yellow color, change that and they’d have to change everything else in the show too. But ultimately, the powers of Viacom were too much for Murray and had to change Rocko’s color from appealing yellow, to ugly beige. Murray had to come to terms that he no longer owned the rights to Rocko, Nickelodeon did. Joe murray still HATES that color, to this day. And for the final kick in the balls, in the end, the big toy company pulled out and they didn’t make any Rocko toys. So the whole color change in the show was pointless.

The errors in The Transformers go above and beyond the animation.
Season 1: Megatron claims the Constructicons were built on Earth.
Season 2: Omega Supreme recounts how the Autobot Constructicons were reprogrammed on Cybertron.
Season 3: In a flashback *eight* Constructicons are shown building Megatron.
And then there's the 3rd season epi "Carnage in C Minor" the errors are through the roof!
Them being built on Earth and reprogrammed on Cybertron isn't a contradiction though, is it..?

Oh yeah, the DiC Mario series had it reeeal bad. I have the DVD collection of the Super Mario World series and I've seen things from animation cel numbers in the corner to spontaneous W2 forms like the one Pan showed off. Sometimes you even see the bottom of the cels where the characters are cut off. It's baffling.

My theory is the indiana joe episode was overdue, so animation had to be rushed to completion. Indiana joe was just a character who didnt have a face because of time restraints, i guess

I could really care less if there's a abundance of errors in the first few seasons of The Simpsons. At least the animation itself was still expressively fluid before Klasky Csupo got booted off from the project. And as far as Bart's blue t-shirt goes, I've always accepted it as some kind of an early design choice by the creator himself before he decided to settle with the classic red/orange shirt that we've all come to know real well. I've never really understood of why so many people had to overanalyze that specific detail. Like seriously, it's just a t-shirt for crying out loud.
According to the Super Mario wiki, a mentioned interview with Perry Martin, the writer of that episode, revealed Joe was supposed to be a characture of Harrison Ford, yet the character sheets had no face to begin with. There wasn't any conclusive evidence, but Martin assumed this was because the studio was trying to avoid a lawsuit

Last night I discovered a weird animation error in the Star Wars the Clone Wars movie. When Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan are discussing a plan to get rid of the Separatists' shield in the first thirty minutes of the movie, you can see Captain Rex without his helmet, which isn't uncommon, but it looks like his head wasn't finished. If you've seen behind the scenes of the Clone Wars or the unfinished episodes, it's eerily similar to how the helmetless clones look in those. It's so bizarre.
A lot of cartoon characters have 4 fingers so I wouldn't really question that I've heard it's easier to animate and I've heard the reason the Simpsons are yellow is so they stand out when people are looking through the channels

Why nobody ever mentions that in a scene Indiana Joe DOES have some tiny eyes. Just one scene, so that confirms the mistake. Either he was designed with eyes and they forgot to drew them, or he was designed without eyes and they somehow mistakenly added them in that scene.
