This is both a very sad and compelling origin for Poison Ivy as she was betrayed by misguided love and it really explains why she was so distrustful and hateful over humanity because of people like Jason Woodrue, similar to how Harley has been betrayed qnd manipulated by Joker countless times, and thus she only cared more about plants as if that were her family, even though she eventually learned to tolerate humanity because of her friendship and eventual romantic love for Harley. I remember that Joel Schumacher's Batman and Robin had Poison Ivy's origin be due to Jason Woodrue also trying to kill her and honestly I hope more adaptations of Poison Ivy use this similar origin for her as Jason Woodrue truly is a selfish scumbag that tried to kill her for his own personal interest and he acts as the main motivation for why Ivy hates humanity and uses her beauty to seduce men for her own personal endeavours. Btw Baby Frank is strangely kinda cute. Im interested to see what he looks like now as the Floronic Man?
I like how the new villains are being set up with more menace this time around, with the Brainiac tease last episode and Floronic Man this time. One of the biggest reasons why Season 4 felt off to me was that it didn't really have as much focus with its storylines or a good hook to draw people in, so I think having a more clearly-established setup for this season is going to help it, especially with Dean Lorey back in the seat.
