Same. Migraines gone with healthy keto. I eat organic hormone free cream, sour cream, and some cheese daily with no problems. However peanut butter can give me headaches the next morning.
I was already low carb when my migraines started. I was cooking for myself, I'd already changed out all the cooking oils in my home for ghee, animal fats, coconut oils, etc. I was already taking magnesium as 3 different chelates just becuz health. I was getting moderate exercises from natural movement of doing yard work, digging and chopping, carrying, dancing, weights, stretching, exercises daily, etc. My migraines did not have a timing to them. They started as constant, day in day out, and did not respond to the food i was eating. Meats didn't trigger, chocolates didn't trigger, fermented foods did not trigger it, gave up wine, kombucha, kefir, I did an elmination diet, and I was already low-carb keto so it was really extreme to eliminate everything except beef and salt and they still came. My Blood Pressure was perfect so that wasn't it. I'd love to think that simply going keto would be the cure for me, but since I was keto when they started. There is nowhere for me to go. I'd already been on the supplements you suggested, so... it's medication for me. I'm seeing a neck specialist who says it might be vertibrae curvature pressing on my spine, and my neurologist has given up trying to find the 'cause" and just refills the meds that keep the severity down and the frequency less than daily. My quality of life went kaput, but I'm still trying to cook for myself and get some semblence of life back. It's kinda funny because I had been looking into Keto for brain enhancement in general before I ever got migraines, so in a way I guess I could have been worse off. I just wish it were as simple as than to get back to a normal sort of life just by doing the equivalent of going keto from already being keto. I even tried fasting, in order to prove that it wasn't food that was triggering my migraines. These migraines are NOT my fault. if anything, STRESS is the biggest trigger I can identify, as if I am already on the edge of a migraine, stress can make it come on fully. or they may come at the end of a long day. Good Luck to everyone else. At the least you aren't doing any harm by trying Low carb/ Keto if you already are not.
You're like a replica of my life. Doing Carnivore has helped, but I'm still getting them. I'm about to try hormonal therapy since they are the worst around my menstrual cycle. But I still get them daily. I'm aware, though, that taking painkillers does trigger more, unfortunately. How is told to switch to Tylenol instead of ibuprofen. Because apparently, tylenol doesn't destroy the gut lining. Have you made any progress since you posted this?
Watching this as I sit in ER with my wife. She is being treated for a debilitating migraine she gets monthly. So tired of watching her go through this- we are going to start Keto this week. Both of our adult children have been Keto for a coupe years and do great.
emptynester Hello sir, I'm so sorry to hear your wife was in the hospital, I hope she's gotten better! May I ask how her progress has been with the Keto diet?
Makes me happy that you are supportive husband. Oh my, this subject will make me cry. This is my reason for becoming Keto affiliated. My migraines have cost me jobs and devastated my economics funds, meanwhile Doctors were totally okay with experimenting with me. Horrible, because they have no idea and never ever they asked me about my diet. That shows you right there that they are never going to help anyone. For someone that didn't take meds, they loved to just keep pumping me for a new med. My husband took me many times to the emergency room because the pain was unbearable. After a migraine my poor head was like a saggy potato. I still have them and hopefully, but hopefully when I am longer in this diet they decrease in numbers. I think my doc retired earlier because I saw her every single week. This is a serious joke and an embarrassing reality. In the medical field we have lazy and dishonest criminals that are covered by expensive clothing and a impeccable white coat. I rather be associated with a homeless on the streets. I hope God does something, because I didn't ask or ever dream to be in my situation now. I should never immigrated here, but I have my family that I adore in this country. Dr. Berry if you ever read this GOD BLESS YOU FOR BEING DIFFERENT!!!! DONT LET ANYONE TO CONVERT YOU. MONEY BUY GOOD PURE SOULS. THE DARK SIDE HATE GOOD HONEST PEOPLE WHO HELP OTHERS, THEY WANT TO PULL THEM OUT. Keto people please don't be offended if you don't feel comfortable with the word God.
@@rodrigonakandakari99 I'm on keto now. Everything is wonderful. More energy. Less leaky gut and gut issues. American diets are killing us. Join the wave.
@Ann-un1ys hi! Hoping to offer some hope. I'm not keto, I'm more paleo. Only whole foods. I've suffered with migraines my entire life (in my 30s now). Within the last year and a half, I started using magnesium bisglycinate by the brand prominent nutrition, vitamin d3 with k2, and omega 3s every day. It made a significant difference, but I saw even more improvement when I added electrolytes every day as well. Probably due to the potassium. I use LMNT, and flavcity
@rachelmccalla2999 thanks. I'm doing glycine magnesium I think it's called. Started doing hormone therapy. And a bunch of other stuff. Also do electrolytes. Trying out Root Cause Medical Center. Know I have mold poisoning and some other stuff in GI. Hope it works. Thanks for the tips.
@rachelmccalla2999 yeah I tried the mag gly with d3, k2 but sadly did nothing for me,, what began to help very slow and slightly was black seed oil each morning n night .. and now getting the migraine injections quarterly.. Grounding each morning and a good hr in sun b4 12pm , trying to Hit the hay by 9.30pm, walk daily, sipping water throughout the day with Celtic salt, avoid sugar n fried foods, no junk, switches to plant based coffee, and herbal teas each morning .. each morning start day, i rotate with shilijit, moringa, mason mushrooms and cayenne drinks.. plenty fruits n veggies.. but it's also my hormones I need to target which is the complicated one ..
I had migraines 4/5 days a week, and was out of work for 3 months because of my migraines. I started Keto 11 weeks ago. My migraines are almost completely gone, if I do get one it's mild. Keto has helped with so many things. It's a lifesaver!!
Try step 1 first, then 2 and so on... 1. Keto 2. Magnesium 3. CoQ10 4. Compounded bioavailability progesterone cream, not synthetic from big pharmaceuticals
To all undercover bodega men on Nostrand ,taking a magnesium is not a crime ,it's not illegal to take pharmacy meds ! Brooklyn was using profiling and personhood against me. Don't ask me how I know either !
I was having several migraines a week and having a breastfed baby with multiple allergies accidentally forced me into a diet that lies somewhere between keto and paleo. Happy baby and migraine free mummy!
I used to get severe migraines almost everyday. I have been on Keto for a year, and I don't have any migraines at all...I can't even remember when I had one last....I used to virtually take Excedrin everyday and sometimes twice a day...I have not had any of those in the year I have been on Keto. I do take a Magnesium Malate at bed time, but I take it for cramps in my legs not migraines. I love the Keto life style and will never ever go back to the way I used to eat, I am down 80 pounds in a year, and I am not a young person, I am in my 60's....This works for me and I might add I am hardly ever hungry...Food does not rule me anymore!

Thank you so much for these tips💕💕 If you don't mind, please could you tell us the type of magnesium and Vita B to take? I've been taking magnesium citrate for about 2months now but it seems not working for my migraines but it does help with sleep
Since the beginning of the year, I had a headache almost every day, and a migraine at least twice a week. It was terrible. A month ago I started the Keto diet and not only have I not had a single migraine, but I've only had two headaches and that was only when I did not get enough sleep. This diet has been a godsend for me, not just for my migraines, but for many other issues I have.
I have migraines and/or bad headaches at least 4 times a week. I have been trying keto, but keep falling off the wagon. Perhaps this video will fix this problem. Praying for relief! Thanks, Dr. Berry!
The beginning of my diet changes started with trying to stop my 5 days a week migraines. I've been having them since I was 4 years old. My first change was eliminating gluten (I gave myself a two week trial) and within days, my migraines stopped!!! Over 40 years of suffering and all along it was gluten! Realizing the power of food, I started on a journey of diet changes to feel better (I also have narcolepsy with cataplexy). Just cutting out all grains helped a lot with having more energy and being able to live a fuller, more productive life. Now that I've started keto, I have even more energy and my mood is really uplifted!
Thank you Dr. Ken. I really sympathise with anybody who has this affliction. Im 60 and have been a chronic migraine sufferer since age 15, averaging 4 attacks per week, severe vomiting, photo & phono phobia, diahorrea and fever with pain on 1 side but not usually the visual aura. To me its a toxic reaction to something. I lost countless jobs over this. I found that I also had Chronic Lyme which began age 8, I took antibiotics for 2.5 years about 6 years ago and also discovered the benefits of Keto. The migraines eased right off and I assumed I was free from them. I have supplemented with Magnesium and B vits for 6 years now but recently just ran out and forgot all about that supplement....last weekend I went down with an attack that returned daily despite Tryptans which do give complete relief at the time. This morning was day 6 of darkened room, then I remembered the Magnesium / vit B. I hastily opened a pack, took 2 within 3 hours and hey presto, it's gone!!
Young coconut water works very well for my migraine. It's very rich of magnesium. I drink it after my morning walk, 4 times a week. . I've never got migraine for years now.
I totally agree with advice. I was having the worst migraines of my life. One week ago I went into a keto diet and reintroduced magnesium oil spray. Not a inch of pain for four days nowv
You sir are a mind reader! Suffering with a cycle related migraine as I type. Thank you! I wish you were in Louisiana. You would definitely be our doctor.
Samantha Williams I feel you, I am in California and these ppl including doctors are Keto Uneducated!!! The closest one to me is 2hrs and I can't drive!
Triggers vary for different people but for years mine were triggered by watching TV for long periods....I turned down the brightness to some effect but it was only when I turned the contrast down that the migraines disappeared ; you need to turn the brightness up otherwise you cant see anything but it worked for me.
KenDBerryMD I have discovered my migraines are triggered by a quick, large drop in Bariatric pressure. I have been doing a Keto lifestyle for 11 months. Any relief for these types of migraines?
Teri M , celiac disease (CD) and non-celiac gluten sensitivity (NCGS) can cause nutritional deficiencies, too. A damaged intestine and/or damaged intestinal villi will make you unable to absorb nutrients. If you are eating gluten, you can get a blood test to be diagnosed for CD. To be diagnosed for NCGS, you just have to go 100% gluten free for sufficient months so that your intestine has time to heal. I had to go gluten free 10 months before realizing that I had NCGS. Gluten is in wheat, barley, rye, and triticale; anything made from them; and anything cross-contaminated by them.

Please dive more into the cause of migraine...Gut inflammation? Because of grains in our diet? Yes I agree! Magnesium deficiency? Yes. What next? I've heard that dropping of blood glucose cause migraine too...Can be the reason huge fluctuation of glucose level during the day?

I've just bought your book. I am so happy! My children have to read it too when they are a little bit older then 10. 👍😉
I suffer from migraines but recently i had a headache/migraine every day for the past 2months Im going to try a keto diet and some of these supplements.
After starting Keto 2.5 weeks My headaches are almost gone. I still get small headaches that go away fairly quickly, but no debilitating headaches anymore. I had headaches for 20 years so this is worth a try. I hope this actually works and not just a placebo effect.
I healed chronic daily headaches. I started with anti inflammatory diet. Methylated B12, combo of 3 magnesium’s, omega 3 fish oil CoQ10. I filled ice trays with my natural anti inflammatory juice as a substitute for OCT pain relievers and Melatonin at bed to break the cycle.
Dr Berry . So glad to of seen this video, my daughter has just been diagnosed with lymphoma , and I think stress has caused her to get these terrible heads… she is in so much pain especially behind her eyes and down her face too. For a whole month now it’s been non stop. She was even given a brain scan , because it’s so bad . That seems ok . The trouble is she has epilepsy as well. I just can’t believe she is going through all this , she is slim, does not smoke and genuinely healthy life style . I just don’t understand why this is happening at all . But I am going to tell her about the diet and the magnesium, THANKYOU 👈👍
Just ordered the Magnesium Malate thru your Amazon affiliate site. BTW, I started the Keto diet a few weeks ago and have dropped 15 pounds in about 6 weeks or less. I’m also walking at least 10,000 steps/day, 6 days/week. I can’t afford to throw out all the food I had bought before Keto so I’m only eating a small quantity of the “bad” but mostly eating the “good” food I’ve purchased since starting Keto. I’ll soon celebrate my 72nd birthday and I’m feeling great.
I tried keto and that didn’t work. I still do keto for weight loss. I added Magnesium and I have had one migraine in the last 4 months.(I was having one per week before) thank you!
Thank you for your video! I have 10-12 severe migraines every MONTH taking Amitriptyline daily for almost 5 years now and additionally Sumatriptan and Zolmitriptan every migraine day. My liver is in danger and my neurologist is helpless. I am a 36 yo mum and am not able to do a job outside being a mum and housewife. I will give this a try and will tell you how this is helping me. Heartfelt thanks and greetings to you from Germany Janine Hall
Janine Hall I understand your pain. My migraines got worse as I started triptans up to the point of having daily chronic migraines. I weaned off the meds... first week was awful but slowly getting better. Keto does help. Try Dr Turknett Migraine Miracle program ( tons of info available on his website as a good introduction to his book)or Stanton Protocol ( facebook group with free advice and resources; plus her 2 books : second book is best as a guide). They both have keto / paleo aspect for recovery from migraine. Dr Turknett is a neurologist and a migraineur.
Sorry to hear that! I’m 30 years and have been taking nortriptyline (close relative of amitripyline) for the last 10 years. I was also suffering from daily migraines and I wasn’t able to work or be a productive member of society. I tried keto and slowly but surely it’s been a life saver. I’m now able to exercise regularly and work 7 days a week. It’s been incredible. Try to be strict with the diet in the beginning and then after 6 months you can incorporate “cheat days”. Good luck and I wish you all the best
After 19 years, I've finally found relief from my migraine headache hell, thanks to Keto. I started Keto January 1, 2018, I've only had 1 relatively mild migraine since then.
Ty so much for this information. Just today I had such a bad headache I thought I was going to pass out in the store So I had to go sit down in the car while my boyfriend got are things. The headaches seem to be coming on more and more..ty again
I've been suffering from chronic migraine for over ten years and am on daily beta blockers which have lessened the frequency of attacks. I'm posting this now because I'm gonna start on the magnesium and coq10 and will come back in time to report back on my progress. My diet is fairly good anyway but I'll look up the keto diet also. Thanks!
@@mostpeoplearebots Hi Jon, have you seen a specialist about your daily headaches? The magnesium and coq10 was good but I've stopped using it as I was still get migraine attacks.
I am one who suffers from severe migraines, I have done since I was a child. I am a 50+ female, and suffer more now than I ever have done before. Last week alone, I had 5. Another one this morning,( it's Sunday, by the way) that has also effect my stomach. So I came searching for some answers. I have cut out so many things in my diet that I know are bad for me, but would intake them anyway. My dairy intake is now very limited, but still, yogurt, milk, cottage cheese and other soft cheese, in my diet regardless. Now I see that it maybe those very things that are effecting me. At the age of 50 I because seriously intolerant of eggs, so they are no longer on my menu. I start a new college course in September and cannot afford to be giving myself these horrific, life halting headaches. I am glad I found this, even though I have been through so many video's saying one thing or another...I am glad I can across Ken D Barry MD. Thank you :) I will do my best to keep you updated. However, now is the time I cut out the milk and cheese...why now? Because I can :) Once again, thank you for this informative and down to earth video. P.S. I have liked, commented, subscribed and press the bell beside it. I do not want to miss the latest videos. :)
I used to have migraines and cluster headache flare ups that would last for 3 days at a time. The triggers would be alcohol, getting very little sleep, being stressed, gut issues, you name it. I have taken the same magnesium glycinate brand for years and it decreased them greatly. I now have them maybe once every year or two. I also eat keto for the many benefits it gives. My body pain is greatly decreased and my bowel disease symptoms have improved as well.
@@ggbice KAL Magnesium Glycinate 400mg. I hope it works for you. It can take a couple of weeks so if it doesn’t go away right away, give it a bit. Good luck.
You give me hope Migraines do to everything you say including gut issues and sinus/laringitis issues, have me without going out and working for long periods for many years!!! My family they are all very healthy cannot understand this situation they think I exagerate 😢😢 and just should ignore it.
Wow! I’m grateful I stumbled upon this video. As a chronic migraine sufferer since age 12, I’ll be 40 in 2 weeks…I’m in distress. Woke up to a bad migraine at about 1:40am. It lasted until sunrise, still feeling the effect well after sunrise. It’s now 9:30am and I’m still having bow movements and feeling odd from the migraine attack. I’m anxious to try the supplements and watch migraine intake. This gave me some hope, thx
Yes, often it's a mineral or vitamin deficiency, sleep deprivation, poor neck posture, or excess inflammatory food ingredients like sugar dairy wheat or seed oil,
I just learned my liver was causing my migraine beside humidity, barometric pressure, ptsd triggers and my cycle. My health doctor had me to do a metabolic detox and diet changes. My migraine went down. After the detox, my migraine came back. We was focusing on my toxic weight gain from medication. I told him my weight gain was caused by medication not food. I eat fairly healthy. My weight gain start when my doctor pumping me with meds and ignore natural remedies.
I'm so glad I scrolled through videos I haven't seen yet. I have to have Botox every 10 -12 weeks for my chronic migraines. In addition I take anti seizure meds, as well as medication when I get a migraine. I also just watched your video on medications that can cause depression. I don't know much about Botox, but some of my medications are a problem. I've been doing Keto on and off for a little over a year and a half. Went back on it not for weight loss since my weight is where it should be, but for migraines, heartburn and many more health benefits. Mostly because I just feel better on Keto. Thank you for your great videos.
@@elisaschiffner4142 No more migraines even when i'm donating blood ever 2 months. Just topical magnesium chloride gel. Takes about a month the work. I use it every night before bed.
Yes, I would get debilitating migraines that last me to sometimes four days that would have me mostly in bed. I would get this every month on average. I discovered them at the hospital when I had a fall, and the pain was unbearable for days despite what I tried for pain relief, plus my blood pressure was so high at the time, and I was having auras. It was really terrible. Anyhow, I haven’t gotten them in months. I don’t know why because my diet is still very bad (lots of sugar, grains and dairy). I plan to start keto/carnivore Jan 2021!
Thank you Dr. Berry! I have migraines related to a Pseudotumor (benign intracranial hypertension) that puts pressure on my optic nerve. I have been desperately trying to get off of the meds for this for a while now. I’ve been eating Ketogenic for about 5 months now and am trying to test the waters with no meds. On day 3 without them now and doing ok. I’ll definitely try these tips if I start having trouble again.
Migraines do not run in my family. I had my first migraine at age 30. No more for 20 years (one year ago). I've been on KETO for three years. I do not eat grains. I take magnesium L-Threonate at night and in the morning. Salt is not an issues. Only thing I can conclude that it is from a lack of sleep (which I do have issues with). My head hurts only a little when I get migraine, but my vision suffers the most (I do wear glasses and already ruled out not a prescription issue) where it blurs and I see water-like rainbows...oh and its not that time of the month either.
Thankyou Dr for this video I have suffered with menstrual migraines and been prescribed triptans for years I would suffer with these 3 to 6 times a month I followed your instructions in this video and mabe get 1 a month now what makes me angry is that I have seen many Drs for this problem over the years but not one has suggested diet thanks again! Oh and i lost 23lbs to
I'm so glad I finally come across this video . Thank you Dr . Ken....ive suffered for years from migraines and clusters and have been put on many medicines . I've been doing keto for a couple months now and still having headaches, so now I know what other steps I can take . Thank you , Thank you, thank you.
I am very excited about trying your methods. I have suffered from migraines for years and I have a good feeling about your advice. Thanks for your time and effort helping people.
I’ve had a headache or migraine every day for the last month and even Imitrex isn’t working so I’m back on carnivore eating as of today and already doing better. Why I relapsed into eating grains is just stubbornness and plain stupidity on my part because I was doing so well on it! Live and learn though.
What helped me many many times when I have a migrane is mixing and drinking one tea spoon of salt with a juice of a lemon or lime and water. Also if I feel tired and want to do sports I have that and helps me keep hydrated.
I wish I would have known this in 1995, after having Graves’ disease in 1994 I started having migraines weekly and 1999 until 2010 sometimes 2 per week lasting 2 days each, they finally completely stopped after going through menopause in 2012.
Keto has greatly helped my migraines! The only time I have had migraines has followed me eating garbage food. What better motivation to stay the course?!
My husband has aural migraines. The doctor prescribed amitryptyline. I am convinced that this medication made him forgetful and not as sharp. He was a truck driver before he retired and knows his way around, but he would sometimes struggle to remember the way to places we visit regularly. His concentration was poor as well. I have got him on magnesium and coq10. I am working on the keto diet lol. Here in the UK prescriptions are free for pensioners but I would rather buy natural supplements, which we both take. Thank you for your advice.
I didn't know I had migraine...I thought they were headaches caused by something.... you have to watch everything you intake... my main triggers are drinks...coffee and diet colas, all soft drinks...drink just water.
I have migraine since i was a kid Now iam 52 years old I don't know what the nomal happy life is All i know is how painful migraine is..😢😢😢😢 it was terrible .
On Keto, dairy and egg free, taking Magnesium Malate, will start taking CoQ10 but can't take any hormones because I have Antiphospholipid Antibodies. I hope this CoQ10 works!
Not to mention the farmers in America spay roundup on there crops making them all dry up at the same time so the grains and corn are ready for harvest at the same time so every one consumes that.
What do you do if you have migraine but not the headache associated with migraine, what if you have silent migraine? Does this plan alleviate other migraine symptoms? I suffer from debilitating vestibular migraine without headache
Only been doing Keto for 4 weeks now but amazing difference! I had a migraines that lasted 2 days (if lucky) per week since I was about 16/17. I am now 35. Tried every medicine available some that made it worse, some that helped only slightly. Last medication was Relpax. It worked however made me feel like I was having a heart-attack. Now it might have a slight headache that only requires one tylenol or one advil when i needed rather than maxing out on both per day. Thank you for posting this video and giving us great tips!
I used to take imatrex, but I don’t trust meds after 22 years on them (since I was a teen). Now I use keto and certain supplements to fix my problems, including migraines. It works.
Dr. Berry, you have hit the nail on the head once again! I have been a migraine sufferer for most of my adult life, mostly pre-menstrual but occasionally, they seemed to coincide with changes in barometric pressure. About 3 years ago, through trial and error and some personal research, I "accidentally" discovered that I was deficient in magnesium. (I made the connection to my major premenstrual chocolate cravings and the fact that my body was telling me it needed the magnesium in chocolate). Since I have been supplementing with magnesium citrate, not only have the incidence of my migraines diminished (almost completely), but I also sleep better and have better digestive function. Fast forward to my recent decision to follow a ketogenic way of eating ... Except for the fact that my body is currently in the throes of the perimenopausal hormone roller coaster and I still have an occasional menstrual migraine (not nearly as severe or long lasting), I believe that keto has helped me to eliminate any other inflammatory triggers from my diet that may have been contributing to my migraines. Thanks again for disseminating great info on this health-positive, kitchen pharmaceutical way of eating. I've shared the heck out of this video in the hopes that others can be relieved of their suffering too. Cheers :)
I have Tension headaches and as my neurologist says with migraine issues. Since I went keto they are better, no more 2&3 day headaches! Usually wake up with one and may get one in the middle of the day. I take magnesium plus eat spinach and broccoli . I’ve always had headaches even as a child. Then they seemed more vascular, if I walked it hurt, if I ran it would really hurt but if I laid perfectly still it would be ok . I will try the Q and Siam Q 10
Steve Trumbull Buy a Migracap. They are about 50 to 60. Not a cheap knockoff on amazon because they are not the same. It's basically a mask with cold packs that goes over your head. I think this will help you.
I've tried magnesium and CO Q10 but still had migraines. I wasn't consistent with magnesium so be sure to do better than I did. Haha. Also take the Coq10 with fatty foods, if you decide to try that.
I have migraines nearly daily! Worst at 3am and the least at 3 pm . Blue light and display screens are the worst ! I do between 50-100 grams net of carbohydrates per day . I’ve lost 42lb (19kg) my GI problems all cleared up . I’m Grains, Potatoes, fruit free . The magnesium stopped working .
A friend of mine suffers from extreme migraines, she has had them for nearly 20 years together with chronic fatigue. I think she's done everything possible to stop them but nothing worked. Last year she went to see yet another neurologist and he prescribed Emgality for her. That knocked the headaches off from 12- 15 a month to 2-3 per month. I'm not trying to tell people to get it, but I understand that if nothing else works, someone who suffers from migraines might look into it.
I have been eating keto for 18 months. I am still suffering from migraines. I take a magnesium/calcium/D3 supplement as well as the following scripts: Toprimate, Wellbutrin and Verapamil to help control my migraines. Although they help I still have about 4 migraines a month. This is down from about 15 a month. Some of my migraines can be caused by bright lights, especially at night and strobe lights are the worst for me. Thank you for your information.
In another video about supplements you mention Magnesium Glycinate or Citrate - I didn't hear you mention Magnesium malate in that video. Can you discuss the difference between malate and glycinate? Is there a preference between those two types?
My migraines are stress and sleep related.i get a migraine after heavy stress but like 36 hours after stressing out. The less sleep I get the worse the migraine is
Stress is the number one trigger of migraine and number two are weather changes primarily when the barometer drops. Most people with uncomplicated migraine don’t realize what their triggers are. So yes, it is important to be aware that diet does impact migraine or at least can impact migraine all the most neurologist will tell you it has a minimal impact. Space I suffer from a chronic form of a rare type of migraine called vestibular migraine or migraine associated vertigo and it is even 100 times more debilitating than regular migraine if you will. Anyone experiencing chronic migraine where there is a extreme hyperactivity going on in the brain, not eating XYZ food it’s just not gonna cut it you need medication
I never knew to give #4 credit for probably cutting my migraines in 1/2. Thanks for CoQ10 & Magnesium tips. My seem to occur with change of season (summer to winter & impending storms-barometric pressure-thx Chicago), any trace level supplements tie to that?
Dr. Berry thank you for helping me change my life. Thank you for being honest and real. Thank you for letting us know that buying supplements and stuff from some keto gurus is a waste, as I fell for it for over a year. I’m so glad I found you. You are a blessing from the heavens above.
Nearly three minutes into the video, the keto diet is suggested. While this may work for many people, giving people false hope that suffer from this debilitating condition may be another pill "hard to swallow." Each of us that suffer from migraines have different conditional elements that drive or prevent the headache may also be a misnomer, and research from authoritative sources can be easily scrutinized. The underlying good about this video is that he suggests trying something different - anything is better than not doing anything and giving in to opiates. No... I am not against opiates, but there are many people who use them irresponsibly and refuse to try alternatives.
Other than the coq10, i have done all that u said for over 2 years. It has definitely eliminated most headaches. But I still get them when there is a big degree weather change. Or when the humidity is high. So i isloated them to barametric changes.
Katie Lehmann that’s when I get migraines! It’s the atmospheric pressure changes that get me... so I wonder if this would still work. I’m going to try! And I’ve already ordered the coq10 so now I’ll modify my food and see how I feel...
I was having migraines every month until I started keto. I haven’t had even one in over 12 weeks.
Angi Bryan Same. I only get mild headaches occasionally, but my migraines have basically stopped. Food does heal. 👍🏻
Me too!
Same. Migraines gone with healthy keto.
I eat organic hormone free cream, sour cream, and some cheese daily with no problems. However peanut butter can give me headaches the next morning.
Same here!
Sweet...
Please look into Dr Angela Stanton’s protocol as well. Good luck 🍀
I will look into that as well. Thanks.

I've had them 36 years. Has it helped?
1. Keto
2. Magnesium
3. CoQ10
4. Compounded bioavailability progesterone cream, not synthetic from big pharmaceuticals
Thanks Sofi, I can’t thank you enough for listing these products suggested by Dr Berg, it helps me and others so much.

I was having several migraines a week and having a breastfed baby with multiple allergies accidentally forced me into a diet that lies somewhere between keto and paleo. Happy baby and migraine free mummy!
you're a good mom. congrats.

If you don't mind, please could you tell us the type of magnesium and Vita B to take?
Thanks, Dr. Berry!
I have chronic headaches every day sun up to sun down and I haven’t figured out any relief. I’m going to a neurologist now. Have you found relief?
@@user-hn9qg5qm3odefinitely try keto, how are you now?
Magnesium
What type of magnesium and vit b? And how much, day 2 of horrible migraine
@Sally Bennett
Please which magnesium and Vita B are you taking?
I've been in this situation for 2yrs now, please help 🙏
Young coconut water works very well for my migraine. It's very rich of magnesium. I drink it after my morning walk, 4 times a week. . I've never got migraine for years now.
I totally agree with advice. I was having the worst migraines of my life. One week ago I went into a keto diet and reintroduced magnesium oil spray. Not a inch of pain for four days nowv

Triggers vary for different people but for years mine were triggered by watching TV for long periods....I turned down the brightness to some effect but it was only when I turned the contrast down that the migraines disappeared ; you need to turn the brightness up otherwise you cant see anything but it worked for me.
Migraines can be something you have, but more commonly, they are something you cause...
KenDBerryMD I have discovered my migraines are triggered by a quick, large drop in Bariatric pressure. I have been doing a Keto lifestyle for 11 months. Any relief for these types of migraines?
KenDBerryMD does this apply to vestibular migraines as well?

I had headaches for 20 years so this is worth a try.

Can you please explain ur diet ?
I healed chronic daily headaches. I started with anti inflammatory diet. Methylated B12, combo of 3 magnesium’s, omega 3 fish oil CoQ10. I filled ice trays with my natural anti inflammatory juice as a substitute for OCT pain relievers and Melatonin at bed to break the cycle.
Great advice! Thanks!
Thank you!!! So over this dull headache!

I have cut out so many things in my diet that I know are bad for me, but would intake them anyway. My dairy intake is now very limited, but still, yogurt, milk, cottage cheese and other soft cheese, in my diet regardless. Now I see that it maybe those very things that are effecting me.

Thank you. 3rd migraine this week and at a breaking point. Going to work on my diet and magnesium. I appreciate the video!
I've tried magnesium and CO Q10 but still had migraines. I wasn't consistent with magnesium so be sure to do better than I did. Haha.
Also take the Coq10 with fatty foods, if you decide to try that.
Take 400gms of B3 when you get the aura and the migraine will subside in 10mins. I've used this for 55yrs. And have not suffered a full migraine.
Keto does not help me but I'm happy it helps others
Thank you Dr. Berry!

Thank you SO much Dr. Berry, my Naratriptan has lots of side effects that this video was so welcome.
Chronic migraines are considered a disability and with a doctor's note can protect your job. Found out mine are caused by dust mites!
Sherri Anderson I have allergies that present as migraines too. Also allergic to dust mites. My allergies have gotten better since starting keto.
Sherri Anderson omg
Sherri, how did you find out?
Thanks Dr.Berry! You are awesome!
My eyes don't close the sun out as they should. This results in light causing my migraines.
They have side effects
@@peaceandlove544 actually, no side effects from that for most people
Thank you Dr Berg, this is a great help. 👍
Sorry Dr Berry, I watch both you and Dr Berg, your my favourites. I got you mixed up this time 😂I’d better try and get some sleep zzzz
Good info...thank you for this.
I started having ocular migraines years ago- then eventually started getting vertigo. Do you experience vertigo? What have your symptoms been?
I never knew to give #4 credit for probably cutting my migraines in 1/2. Thanks for CoQ10 & Magnesium tips. My seem to occur with change of season (summer to winter & impending storms-barometric pressure-thx Chicago), any trace level supplements tie to that?
Bioidentical progesterone knocked out the pms headache and helped with the transition during perimenopause.
Dr. Berry thank you for helping me change my life. Thank you for being honest and real. Thank you for letting us know that buying supplements and stuff from some keto gurus is a waste, as I fell for it for over a year. I’m so glad I found you. You are a blessing from the heavens above.
So great!
Salt helps as well when the migraine comes since migrainers require more sodium than the others.
I also get them with weather changes, fall is the worst!
Those are like sinus headaches
Keep the antiflamatory diet
Water, learn deep breathing and how to clear sinus, vitamin C, Zinc, D3
I get keto headache. But still much good advice. Thanks
