Those kind of people who are really enjoying what they are doing and sharing their passion (and not doing a business of producing only what people want to listen to). I follow them on instagram too and I don't follow a lot of artists like them who share jokes, other compositions and finally their musical intimity. They remind me UZEB at the end of the 90's, a band of friends that became, in my mind a reference.
RIp Beck, no doubt! 🙂 he enjoys this every single moment, where ever he may be now :-) Matteo is the perfect and only one to do such a tribute. The bassist though not to forget... man.

This kid is my new favorite guitar player with his incredible taste and right hand fingerstyle articulation, and this video is in a place I had one of the best experiences of my trip in Italy, right in front of the magnificent duomo in Spoleto across from an enchanting truffle restaurant. This is a great stop if you drive up from Rome to Florence, a lovely town on a hill filled with amazing food and beautiful people. If you have a chance to visit this place, don't pass it up.

Il mondo è pieno di chitarristi tecnicamente ineccepibili che fanno assoli da far cagare e gente che invece fa assoli meravigliosi ma con una tecnica limitata. Matteo è la sintesi del meglio di entrambe le cose. Orgoglio Italiano nel mondo. Oliva..... invece pure.

If you like his finger picking technique, I think you’d like Max Ostro. He definitely uses a pick a lot, but he very often plays these incredible legato lines and other lines in which he uses hybrid picking, and his hybrid picking technique is some of the greatest I’ve ever seen, and Max is only 18. Like Mancuso, it’s gonna be amazing to see him develop his playing even further as he gets older
Phenomenal. I have no words. This kid is simply up there with the very best. The rhythm section just incredible and the venue is to die for. absolutely beautiful, perfect combination in the best fashion and style from Italy. Thank you for this guys. Really awsome stuff.
Monster players. Amazing performances. Thank goodness there's still interest in virtuosic jazz rock instrumental music. Matteo really has set a new standard. I suspect many more fingerstyle shredders will emerge over time, it seems to be getting a whole new injection of interest.
Ten years ago I was asking myself what will come next after masters like Vai, Satch, Govan, Timmons, Becker, Firkins, Holdsworrth, Gilbert, Friedman etc. I had no idea about what was coming. Then came these magnificent young people ; Mancuso, Asato, Polyphia, Zytecki, Plini, Lewis, Willson, Nito, Fernandes, Basilio, Dey, Jill, Marcin, Misko, Ostro, many more and they changed everything forever. Thank you all !
Gotta give tons of credit to Matteo, he is always top tier. I wanted to add though, Riccardo's bass playing was amazing. Loved his solo, so technically impressive while still tasteful. Throughout he sounded fantastic.
It just doesn't get anymore hypnotic than this. I JUST discovered the guy a few minutes ago on 7/8/23 and have seen several of his videos earlier and I honestly can't find the words to describe my amazement. The term "Virtuoso" doesn't come close to Matteo's brilliance...It's shocking to beyond "off-the-charts" to...whatever. I don't think I'll ever hold the likes of Pat Metheny, Al Di Meola, EVH, et al in the same regard.

This group's fantastic fusion tone reminds me of the band ICEBERG, with Max Sunyer on guitar... using a pick. lol. But still, it was the later 70's! Now, 50 years later that same fusion vibe shows up with Matteo Mancuso and his brilliant band mates. But now the music is precise and flawless; Pristine.

Es ist die 1 Musik dich ich bestimmt 30 Mal gehört habe, so wie nie ein Musikstück zuvor. Metteo weiß vielleicht gar nicht wie gut seine Musik ist. Es kommt da im Moment niemand auf der Welt mit. WARUM, weil er Harmonien verarbeitet die so ungewöhnlich sind zu spielen. Auch sein musikalisches Talent ist scheinbar unerschöpflich. Obwohl ich auch schon etliche Jahre Gitarre und sogar Geige spiele hat mich bisher kein Gitarren-Musiker so beeindruckt wie dieser Kerl. Ich wünsche Diesem jungen Talent dass er so bleibt wie er ist und nicht im Ruhm versinkt oder zu Drogen kommt denn das ist sein sicherer Abstieg. Mach weiter so Matteo und lasse Dir keine langen Haare wachsen. Sie werden von allein grau und das reicht schon an exquisiter Dominanz zumal ja dann noch Dein Talent dazu kommt! Einfach perfekt!!!

Right, we all admire in awe Matteo, and rightly so, being one of the top guitarist worldwide, but shall we spend a minute on the mastery of the bass textures by Riccardo Oliva, or the amazing, clockwork job at the drums by Gianluca Pellerito?
Amazing! So young and very talented Matteo and his band members. Beautiful played, excellent tone and accuracy and of course very nice Italian historic location.
Prima di commentare questa band faccio i complimenti allo staff che ha organizzato questo video in un posto meraviglioso, le riprese sono davvero suggestive. Da musicista, sono imbarazzato dalla bravura straripante di questi tre ragazzi. Matteo Mancuso lo conosco bene di fama, lo seguo da tre anni in tutti i suoi video, ed è a dir poco geniale e stupefacente, ha una tecnica micidiale, suona con precisione e pulizia del suono con uno stile fuori dal comune e poi la mano destra senza il plettro che arpeggia su tutte le corde mi lascia ogni volta senza parole. Un altro vero genio che dall Italia può portare la musica nel mondo , un pò come fece anni fa il sassofonista siciliano Francesco Cafiso che andò a suonare con le orchestre jazz americane dei grandi nomi di New Orleans. Matteo Mancuso potrebbe suonare con gente come Vinnie Colaiuta o John Patitucci , è un musicista che metterei a collaborare con i grandi fenomeni americani. Questi sono i veri talenti che vanno sostenuti , altroché i Maneskin (che pur essendo bravi, non sono una novità perché fanno comunque musica commerciale), ma gente come Matteo Mancuso va valorizzata nel mondo. A proposito complimenti anche a Riccardo Oliva grandissimo Bassista dal suono raffinato e con un gusto non indifferente e a Gianluca Pellerito magnifico Batterista virtuoso dalla tecnica e dinamica perfette.

As most of the comments here are in Italian, I will just say(in English) that this version of "Sofie" from Jeff Beck's "Wired" lp. is phenomenal. Matteo deftly combines his own unique style while retaining the hauntingly beautiful notes from Jeff's original...with a touch of Holdsworth thrown in. Magnifique!

I played this the first time perfectly without any mistakes. I also lost 2 fingers on both hands (war) so I play without 4 total fingers. Playing this song was a bit tricky, but actually fairly novice. I found myself falling asleep while playing it perfectly after hearing it once.
Great rendition of "Because we've ended as lovers". That song has meant so much to me since I heard in '75. Jeff Beck struck out entirely on his own. Thanks Matteo.

As bass player, I was told if your playing an electric six string you should use a pick, however I played with my fingers and managed well, I continued with the bass, but started playing with a pick on the six string......Now I see Mateo, showing us YOU DON'T NEED A PICK!! Amazing.

Es ist die 1 Musik dich ich bestimmt 30 Mal gehört habe, so wie nie ein Musikstück zuvor. Metteo weiß vielleicht gar nicht wie gut seine Musik ist. Es kommt da im Moment niemand auf der Welt mit. WARUM, weil er Harmonien verarbeitet die so ungewöhnlich sind zu spielen. Auch sein musikalisches Talent ist scheinbar unerschöpflich. Obwohl ich auch schon etliche Jahre Gitarre und sogar Geige spiele hat mich bisher kein Gitarren-Musiker so beeindruckt wie dieser Kerl. Ich wünsche Diesem jungen Talent dass er so bleibt wie er ist und nicht im Ruhm versinkt oder zu Drogen kommt denn das ist sein sicherer Abstieg. Mach weiter so Matteo und lasse Dir keine langen Haare wachsen. Sie werden von allein grau und das reicht schon an exquisiter Dominanz zumal ja dann noch Dein Talent dazu kommt! Einfach perfekt!!!
Suonare un pezzo di Jeff Beck, senza tentare di imitarlo, mettendoci così tanto del proprio stile... meraviglioso...

Mamma mia che roba! Che brividi! Tre stelle che brillano a Spoleto. Matteo Mancuso lo conoscevo. Riccardo Oliva e Gianluca Pellerito, non me ne vogliano, invece no. In pochi commenti si parla della performance superlativa di questi due giovani talenti al pari di Matteo. Bravo Matteo e bravi Riccardo e Gianluca, tutti e tre orgoglio italiano👏👏👏

Right, we all admire in awe Matteo, and rightly so, being one of the top guitarist worldwide, but shall we spend a minute on the mastery of the bass textures by Riccardo Oliva, or the amazing, clockwork job at the drums by Gianluca Pellerito?

Prima di commentare questa band faccio i complimenti allo staff che ha organizzato questo video in un posto meraviglioso, le riprese sono davvero suggestive.
Da musicista, sono imbarazzato dalla bravura straripante di questi tre ragazzi.
Matteo Mancuso lo conosco bene di fama, lo seguo da tre anni in tutti i suoi video, ed è a dir poco geniale e stupefacente, ha una tecnica micidiale, suona con precisione e pulizia del suono con uno stile fuori dal comune e poi la mano destra senza il plettro che arpeggia su tutte le corde mi lascia ogni volta senza parole.
Un altro vero genio che dall Italia può portare la musica nel mondo , un pò come fece anni fa il sassofonista siciliano Francesco Cafiso che andò a suonare con le orchestre jazz americane dei grandi nomi di New Orleans.
Matteo Mancuso potrebbe suonare con gente come Vinnie Colaiuta o John Patitucci , è un musicista che metterei a collaborare con i grandi fenomeni americani. Questi sono i veri talenti che vanno sostenuti , altroché i Maneskin (che pur essendo bravi, non sono una novità perché fanno comunque musica commerciale), ma gente come Matteo Mancuso va valorizzata nel mondo.
A proposito complimenti anche a Riccardo Oliva grandissimo Bassista dal suono raffinato e con un gusto non indifferente e a Gianluca Pellerito magnifico Batterista virtuoso dalla tecnica e dinamica perfette.
E non spaccano gli strumenti ...

Great music in a great place.
As most of the comments here are in Italian, I will just say(in English) that this version of "Sofie" from Jeff Beck's "Wired" lp. is phenomenal. Matteo deftly combines his own unique style while retaining the hauntingly beautiful notes from Jeff's original...with a touch of Holdsworth thrown in. Magnifique!
I always knew this tune as 'cause we've ended as lovers' is Sofie an alternate title?

I played this the first time perfectly without any mistakes. I also lost 2 fingers on both hands (war) so I play without 4 total fingers.
Playing this song was a bit tricky, but actually fairly novice.
I found myself falling asleep while playing it perfectly after hearing it once.
A minor point, but "The Chicken" was written by Pee Wee Ellis and first appeared as a b-side to James Brown's 1969 single "The Popcorn."

As bass player, I was told if your playing an electric six string you should use a pick, however I played with my fingers and managed well, I continued with the bass, but started playing with a pick on the six string......Now I see Mateo, showing us YOU DON'T NEED A PICK!! Amazing.
