Latest has the Board of the Academy insisting that 30% of actors and film crews involved in making a movie be 'underrepresented minorities' The penalty for not complying with this latest bit of racism is that the movie will not be eligible for academy award consideration. Haven't been to the movies in a long time. And most of Hollywood seems to be woke, so it follows that a lot of what comes out of there has some degree of woke in it.

Sorry but Harrison Ford is just too old for this film - perhaps if it was told in a "flashback" and someone else played Indiana Jones (a man not a woman) it might be okay, plus they could have recast his "son"'s role with a different male actor- no need to bring in a god child

I am a huge fan of the original three episodes. Watched Raiders of the Lost Arc and Temple of Doom for the first time on the same day in London back in the summer of 1984. I was just 11 years old then, but what a day! This latest installment pays tribute to the original trilogy. Not a great movie by any means, but solid to be sure. I give it a solid 7/10. Hopefully, they have a good plot for another sequel. Ford, Allen and Rhys Davies still have it. A good plot with more brains than brawn could make for a great movie.

I think it's weird that Harrison Ford is now at the age of what Indiana Jones would have been when the original Indiana Jones came out in 1981. My favorites of this series is when Karen Allen is in them - she's just so beautiful and feisty. You don't have to worry Disney owns the rights and they will milk the last penny out of this series.

After seeing the terrible handling of the star wars franchise im giving it the same love i gave "the rise of skywalker". Didnt even give it a chance. I just knew it was out to destroy everything i enjoyed about the series.

Just saw this last night. Enjoyed the above video, but glad I watched it afterwards, not before. A huge fan of the original and 3rd films, I wanted to go in knowing absolutely nothing. It paid off! It's a wonderful treatment - the opening 1940s sequence is mind-blowing - and the rest of the film holds together very well. It is now my 3rd favourite in the series, and I look forward to seeing it again, after a suitable time gap. Great sendoff to an iconic character, and the endearing actor who has brought him so vividly to life all these decades!

I liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls. The only thing I didn't like about it was the Mutt Williams character swinging on vines with CGI monkeys and his sword fighting.

They screwed up the ending. It's a punch, cut to black and then right there, at home. We want to see the journey back on the way. John Wick 4 was meaningless shot after shot, they were delaying it to make it to the three hour mark, so why is THIS LESS!? A two hour fourteen minute movie?! Saving you your money. I think it's weird that Harrison Ford is now at the age of what Indiana Jones would have been when the original Indiana Jones came out in 1981. My favorites of this series is when Karen Allen is in them - she's just so beautiful and feisty. You don't have to worry Disney owns the rights and they will milk the last penny out of this series.

Yeah in Last Crusade Indy was 39 but Harrison was 46, so 7 years older than the character. 15 years have gone by since Skull in real time, but only 12 in movie time. So now Harrison is about 10 years older than the character.
Sean Young was not a ‘deaged' effect, was a full CGI rendering. De-aging uses a blend of current footage with tracking and younger footage to generate the exact face movements and expressions (like deep fake videos).
All for the better. Let the story come to a close with dignity and don't reboot it.

After seeing the terrible handling of the star wars franchise im giving it the same love i gave "the rise of skywalker". Didnt even give it a chance. I just knew it was out to destroy everything i enjoyed about the series.

Based on the trailer alone I'm never watching this film. Can't have it ruining my love of the original pre Disney films(except crystal skull that film sucked and I don't count it)
Just saw this last night. Enjoyed the above video, but glad I watched it afterwards, not before. A huge fan of the original and 3rd films, I wanted to go in knowing absolutely nothing. It paid off! It's a wonderful treatment - the opening 1940s sequence is mind-blowing - and the rest of the film holds together very well. It is now my 3rd favourite in the series, and I look forward to seeing it again, after a suitable time gap. Great sendoff to an iconic character, and the endearing actor who has brought him so vividly to life all these decades!

Despite her acting, she was a despicable character, she actively tries to murder her godfather on at least 2 or 3 separate occasions. Most notable locking Indy in with Nazis who just murdered two of his co-workers. Oh she also instructs her guards to shoot Indy? Why? Indy is a man she's known since she was a child, who she would know had saved her father on numerous occasions. So why is she going out of her way to get him killed?
I found her more insufferable, and unlikable than Captain Marvel, and that's a bar so low, it would ruin a limbo contest.
I liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls. The only thing I didn't like about it was the Mutt Williams character swinging on vines with CGI monkeys and his sword fighting.

Karen Allen is in the cast list for Dial of Destiny. So there's a good chance she'll be in it, at least for a little bit. It could be flashbacks, a quick cameo at the end, or something else. We'll just have to wait and see.

I love slapstick, so this could be fun. And what's wrong with stroppy women? We didnt mind them during the World Wars, to keep countries running while the men and boys were away fighting, we lauded them as heroes in the resistance, and we really like them wearing not much when competing with all muscles rippling at the Olympics. Me thinks the general populace is so bored with their own lives they will get onto any bandwagon.

This was such an embarrassment. Harrison Ford was hard to watch as he's so old. This left me feeling horribly hating the movie. That man shouldn't be acting anymore.

What is 'hard core Indy fan' supposed to mean? How about just, Indy fans? The movie was garbage, being 'hard core' had nothing to do with any of it. Yes, it might have brought in some money, but that was b/c the name and franchise could still bring in dollars. The movie was a dud, and it didnt take that long for people to realize it. But it did take long enough for them to make some money from the mega dud that was crystal skull. Even in 2008, HW was already an institution in decline. In 2023, things are much worse. That is, if you still believe HW is capable of producing quality movies at ANY price. An 80 year old Indian Jones..........
I gave the movie the benefit of the doubt. I took my girlfriend to go see it on the 4th of July. It sucked! I wanted to leave and ask for a refund. Just like the Bond movie "No Time To Die" a vehicle to insult and humiliate or childhood heroes and replace them with woke characters no one likes!
Paramount has to admit here that Disney is the backbone of Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny because without it wasn't possible to Awake Great Archimedes and Harrison Ford.

They screwed up the ending. It's a punch, cut to black and then right there, at home. We want to see the journey back on the way. John Wick 4 was meaningless shot after shot, they were delaying it to make it to the three hour mark, so why is THIS LESS!? A two hour fourteen minute movie?! Saving you your money. This movie deserves spoilers.

In 1969 Jones has a dream where he is back in World War 2 with some Nazis. When he wakes up he finds that he is in a world where it doesn't matter what time it is.
