- Author Douglas Murray has slammed CNN anchor Zain Asher as an “absolute moron” after she claimed the Royal Family is grappling with a legacy of “the potential paying of reparations”.
He said when people talk about reparations it demonstrates their “incredible ignorance”.
“She has no idea in her racist hatred that Britain paid reparations 250 years ago,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

Indeed, going all the way back to the Romans, the Vikings, the Greeks, the Mongols, the Moors, and spreading across the entire world with the possible exception of the Antipodes. If we are to be fair about it, there are very few nations free from the stain of colonialism at one point or another in their history, and it’s purely the case that Britain was the last of a long line of colonial powers and is therefore coming in for more criticism than the rest.

I come from a line of Dutchmen (Voortrekkers) whose forefathers were held in concentration camps in South Africa under British Rule. Many women and children died of diseases and starvation in those concentration camps.
It happened about 100 years ago and I can't tell you that I'm affected by that today, nor is it reason for me to hate the late Queen or anyone of British decent. It is in the past and I don't allow it to dictate my future. May the Queen rest in peace and may Brittian be under God's immeasurable grace.
