"He's Famous, But Not A Big Talent!" Douglas Murray SLAMS Russell Brand

  • Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by author Douglas Murray, Times Radio broadcaster Mariella Frostrup and author and broadcaster Robert Peston to discuss Russell Brand's questionable history as well as the allegations lobbied against him and how much onus should be placed on those media companies that platformed him.
    Douglas explains that although he is recognised as 'famous' over in America, people have never said he is a 'big talent'. He also adds that he hopes to see more successful prosecutions take place for crimes against women who aren't just done by celebrities.

    Quite utterly extraordinary. You get a guy who by Piers own words has been brutally honest - frank - open - transparent - telling interviewers his deepest most intimate thoughts and feelings - who has publicly documented his own life story from misogynist to what he ultimately became - in fact ACTUALLY - he didnt change at all..... He CONTINUED to tell the truth - He showed how he overcame sex addiction - alcohol abuse - and how he found wonderful ways to balance his life through yoga, meditation, breathing, cold water - etc. etc. etc. You have taken his truth and stabbed him in the back with it. This is "journalism" at its lowest point. Pure monetization of someone who cannot even defend themselves. I think however as all of these events occur - we are all doing what Russell brand tells us to do - we are staying AWAKE and we can see what is happening. I see you are not discussing his latest interview with Dr John Campbell ? C*v*d vaccines being issues to every American regardless of their age - the 400% increase in the cost of the moderna vaccine - The fact that Rishi Sunack is a major investor - that all his cronies are now top dogs at Moderna - That the UK has invested billions and billions of pounds into long term development of this vaccine through Moderna - The FACTS which are all publicly available yet dont get a mention on mainstream news - the same channels that then tell their audience that Russell Brand tells "baseless" (BBCs words) conspiracy theories. Well Piers - once upon a time - vaccine injury was a baseless theory - people who didnt want the vaccine were considered nutcases and ant establishment. You know what? I have learnt more about the world through conspiracy theory than I ever have done through Mainstream news. I actually find TRUTH. One last comment.... for anyone who thinks I am another nutcase. A top financier once said to me. "Richard - you want conspiracy theories? How many Londons are there?" Naturally I thought it was a joke. To this day - No matter HOW many people I have asked and it must be over 100 by this day - NOBODY has ever given me the right answer. Truth in plain sight - yet if I told you there are two - I would suggest 99% would tell me I am mad - and the 1% who know the truth - didnt learn it at school - or through the mainstream media.

    • @leonarddavies288
      @leonarddavies288 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      When you say how many Londons are there what do you mean ? Like London Ontario ? Or demographics? Sorry Richard I don’t understand what you mean can you please explain? This was a great comment and I just felt compulsed to ask by what nature you meant you said you asked over 100 people and they didn’t know , I’ll be honest if you mean places there are a few in America I think a couple in Africa and South America but most people wouldn’t usually know the exact amount because I would presume a lot wouldn’t be big major cities maybe small towns that would have no relevance to anything I know there are loads of Manchesters and Chesterfields scattered about 😂

    • @RichardsGuitarshop
      @RichardsGuitarshop 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      @@leonarddavies288 Hi! I am so glad you felt "compulsed" - I appreciate it! Its become the most wonderful party trick, lol. If anyone ever mocks conspiracy theory (IE knowing something they dont want to believe or havent bothered to make the effort to learn) I just tell them to name the two Londons. If they can't - it proves they have no right to mock what they dont already know :) Obviously we all went to school - We all took history and learned about..... Wait for it.... the great potato famine? The Boston Tea Party? The Industrial Revolution? These all stick in my mind during what were the most painful days of my life - school. So of course if there were TWO Londons in the UK we would all learn about it right? Especially if the details surrounding them are so unbelievably - incredibly significant to everyone who lives in the UK. But actually NO. The history of the two Londons is apparently so inconsequential that we are not educated about it at school and nor is it ever mentioned during our lifetimes it seems. OK so as I have eluded to - the answer is they are both in the UK. One however has its own government, mayor and police force; its own laws, flag and coat of arms Yep So the answer is there are TWO Londons - and when the Queen wants to visit - she has to be granted permission I believe? Just serarch "The Two Londons" or "are there two londons" on youtube and you should find some cool videos on the history and how it all became about. I would have found it interesting had they taught me at school - as I think you may find it too :) Thanks for not being mean to me.

And, that does not include via the media. I cannot stand him, and rarely listen to a thing he says. I blame GQ magazine and lad culture for most of his tripe. But that is not the point. There are reasons, historically, why people used to go to public executions. For the entertainment and not for the justice. Tbh this would have happened before social media too. The majority of humans since the dawn of time have the view "guilty until proven innocent" because they love to follow the crowd and engage in mob mentality
      Social media just exaggerated it because it made doing those things incredibly easy and without consequence. It's why people joking around with incredibly serious words like nonce and pedo has skyrocketed in society. Before social media people wouldn't use these words if they thought the person they were saying it to would attack them. Now they can just say it on an anonymous social media account
      However 20 years ago you'd still be sacked or at the very least be asked not to come into work during a trial of this nature so its not some new thing imo. Plus what was "normal" in the 90s nobody cared about. That's why people say The Inbetweeners, Bo Selecta, and Ali G are extremely offensive now. Everyone just laughed at them back then. Some still do because they haven't turned into snowflakes

He’s started his own ersatz religion where he’s the messiah, the elder, the unquestioned one.. and you’re all his sheep and flock. It’s a grift in plain sight. A cult of conspiracy and pseudoscience and faux-numinous nonsense and spirituality.

Russell Brand is a comedian who often talks in a flippant, tongue in cheek style, and to dig through everything he has ever said now is ridiculous. But most of us know WHY this happening.

He was saying that unlike The Guardian and The New Statesman and other openly left-wing media outlets who enthusiastically embraced Brand in the 00s as a sexually liberated counter-cultural icon, Brand has never received a welcome in right-wing media circles to the same degree, and he contrasted it with the consistent unwillingness of major conservative newspapers to go near him.
      He was pointing out the lack of responsibility that is being taken by the same media outlets who helped promote his profile and inflate his ego a decade ago now turning round and saying how shocking it all is now the allegations have come out. Whether they like it or not they may very well end up being proven partial to a modern day Savile-like scandal with Brand, turning a blind-eye to his failings because he was "one of them", and the chickens are now coming home to roost.

    • @gregbatchelor9205
      @gregbatchelor9205 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Murray is a great writer and thinker, but he's missed the point entirely re: Brand's whole positioning. Russell has been an anti-establishment voice within independent journalism for a number of years now; his whole appeal centres around being considerably less partisan to the media behemoth. Therefore, why on earth would an establishment paper like the Telegraph want him writing for them? And why would he choose to write for them?
      I see this again as a battle between the dying legacy media (of which Piers is one-foot-in, one-foot-out) and independent voices, which are always going to pose a threat to more curated forms of media that serve a particular narrative or political agenda. The more these independent voices grow in popularity, the bigger the existential threat to old-time legacy media, and the greater the incentive the latter have for squashing such voices.
      The media machine cannot tolerate decentralisation; it runs counter to its entire raison-d'être. But decentralisation is the inevitable future. There is no conceivable way in which things could turn out differently.

The Western nation have already corrupted the culture of most nations with free sex and promiscuity, so it's going to be easy to get people to falsely accuse and get paid. What has changed is our understanding of what consent actually means. Years ago, the old joke was, "no means yes"; no self respecting young woman would tarnish her reputation and immediately capitulate to a male's sexual advances, so the man had to persevere in order to demonstrate his sincere desire to be with the woman. Somewhere in the midst of that often silent, complex transaction, the young lady maintained a certain virtue by not being easy, and the man, in persevering, signalled that he sought more than mere congress with the lady. The fact is, neither man nor woman knew exactly what signals they were meant to respond to. Though it's now easy to say consent must be overtly specified or declared by the woman (in heterosexual relations), most young people aren't drawing up an agreement when, after a night at a club or bar, they find themselves together. To suggest that consent can be given but also retracted at any time during an often intensely primal, clumsy ritual, and that it will be clearly understood by both parties, seems naive.
