    In terms of power, Cabal Hermit is hard to look over. However, it does not offer free healing and is slightly more complex to use compared to these three. If you are more experienced I HIGHLY recommend you take Cabal Hermit as well. Thanks!

      Trying Hermit on my Rune Sage this time - am not disappointed! Summoning a ghost buddy is sweet, and the sigil is something I'm still trying to get the hang of. Regret sleeping on this one in previous playthroughs..!

      The sigil is probably the second best part of hermit. Doesn’t cost mana stones and offers massive lightning damage as well as an ethereal attack that has huge impact damage. I hope you adjusted well to it because it is really strong when utilized properly.

    Ive done all the breakthrough points on:
    Rune sage
    Hunter
    Warrior monk
    I dont know how good this is but I like it 💀
    Also I only took +4 mana channeling

    • @SheenShots
      @SheenShots  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Warrior Monk is the most useful tree in the game. More stamina is always so nice and the attack skills are great. Rune Sage is very easy to use as it has several rune combinations that do all kinds of things, heal, buff, deal damage, its the whole package. And Hunter deals massive impact. In fact hunter is a great skill tree for a new player because it lets you get close to the enemy with predator leap even when you technically shouldn't be able to. Love the set up. Hope it continues to go well!

    Great video again my friend. I agree completely on the skill trees for new players. Oddly enough though, I've never really used the mercenary skill tree on my playthroughs. Probably because gun builds are so popular because of how good they are. I tend to go against the mold. Think I might give it a try though for my next build :D

    • @SheenShots
      @SheenShots  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mercenary is really good, but there are unique ways to play with it that don't force you to carry 6 guns around lol. I prefer to use one gun and main melee. Then kind of use blood bullet as needed. Glad you enjoyed it!

    • @sk0omaalters96
      @sk0omaalters96 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is ironic because by thinking gun builds are popular and wanting to go against the mold you are in fact going with the mold 😂
      The truth is the majority of players think the exact same thing you just stated, and pistols get a lot of hate. I’ve been a member of the official discord since it’s conception and there are less than a handful of people who are pro gun, literally everyone else hates on them 😂🤷🏻‍♂️

    If they make a part 2 I'd love to see the rune mage get a better combination. My main thought was, each rune gets a type and element. So it will be like weapon/fire, device/lightning and you can choose your type and then the element. So you can have multiple types of traps weapons and things like that, and the upgraded version can add a 3rd better thing

    One thing that bother me since i start playing this game is you have to finish the faction questlines if you want to buy houses. To new players all we want to do is explore and with no storage, you have no choice but to finish the quest or sell everything that you might use for later.

    • @curtra8288
      @curtra8288 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm still playing on PS4 so I don't have the shared storage that definitive edition has, but I just use the lighthouse as my main storage, plus I leave 1 or 2 backpacks and a good tent in every major city so I can always rest up and store extra stuff.

    • @SheenShots
      @SheenShots  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, the way the houses are set up really makes you miss hobho camping and I wish they would have just made most of the houses available for purchase right away. Makes no sense for every town to refuse you to purchase property anyhow.

    I'd argue that Spellblade is in fact the easiest if not the easiest. As a new player myself, I've never found relief in combat until I get to play elemental discharge. Sure it's not strong, but always being in safety without the hassle of multiple inputs is truly comforting. Boon, Imbue, and just kite. Nothing but movements and 1 keybind.

    • @SheenShots
      @SheenShots  ปีที่แล้ว

      While I think its definitely on the weaker side in terms of a full skill tree, elemental discharge feels great. I love to use it when I don't feel safe in a melee battle or just need to finish off that last bit of enemy health. And since you just need a varnish to use it you have all kinds of options.

    Rune sage+ monk and then primal ritualist or cabal hermit imo are the most noob friendly combinations. Just cause you gain the most damage resistance and impact resistance. These are the most forgiving combos in my opinion. This game punishes you hard for playing bad, and these classes mitigate that the most

    Im surprised, ive found warr monk to be a vital pick up on most if not all of my builds, extra stam, master of motion for free resistances and counterattack on any weapon... i just feel naked without it and was certainly my staple as a beginner, this being said you make very good points for the rest of these.

    • @SheenShots
      @SheenShots  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I actually choose warrior monk for most of my builds as well. The only reason it is not up here is quality of life stuff. Master of motion is such a nice perk from that tree.

    • @simonyu8838
      @simonyu8838 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've had Warrior Monk on both my original release character and DE character and really like it but it is really dependent on having Discipline up which can be fiddly for new players. The Discipline giving skill having a 6 minute cooldown while the buff only lasts 3 minutes means you can be caught without it up unless you carry potions/food that granted or slot in Brace and don't whiff with it. The three in the video are all more consistent and forgiving options.

  • @E_Proxy

    I just started the game and it's coming off a bit complicated for me. I'm really stuck with the skills tree. Cause i'm struggling with istamina (basically cannot use the blue sand set). So I'm not sure if picking the extra stamina. Or these three. Or maybe He + 40 extra stamina +40 extra mana. Or hex+stamina+something else.

    I would never advice to play runeSage or any "pure "Mage to a noob, it's complicated and works only if you invest a lot, Monk + heavy armor + basic bow + speedster, stay, shoot, poke, and counter, very easy and deadly and you have so many free quickslots for like traps,pots, imbues and ects

    • @SheenShots
      @SheenShots  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well most people do actually go with rune sage at the start for that easy access to ethereal damage with he trap. As long as you can remember the combos is easy to control combat for the most part. Now it is a bit of a trap as bow is far stronger in certain areas, but heck even just the fire sigil can make half the game far easier. probably depends on what your looking for in the game I imagine.

    Ayo. Question for you. How much mama should I take when starting out and obtain as I progress each path to use them comfortably? I think I’m going to grab +2 to start but you’re opinion on mana for each tree would be appreciated. Maybe in an update to the description?

    • @SheenShots
      @SheenShots  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So taking mana is always a fun choice to make. I almost always choose 3 points of mana. This just feels right and lets you use boons whenever you need to. 1 point is only for specific characters. 2 however is not a bad place to start until you get more of your skills. So what I would do is grab 2 points and test it out for a bit. If you feel that isn't enough go add another point.
      5 points of mana can be good too but only if you are reaching heavily in to magic based skills.
      Hope that helps!

    What do you think of Rune Sage/Hex Mage/Cabal Hermit? I'm thinking of going that way but I don't see it on the list at the end. Would that be a bad combo, and if so, why?

    • @SheenShots
      @SheenShots  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is an interesting combination. (The list is of course a guideline so kind of keep that in mind if you will.) Rune sage will offer defense and damage. Cabal hermit will offer defense and damage. Hex Mage will off quality of life and damage. So you are going to have a lot of good damage options to pick from and defense to the elemental attacks will be nice. The problems you will need to work out is mana cost and stamina. You can get good damage and mana regen but only if you are tired. So you need to be sure you always have a good amount of mana potions on you (easy to craft, really not an issue at all). Stamina is always important. So if you keep in mind that you need to watch the stamina bar and always have buffs for if you will be good.
      Take wind infuse as wind sigil isn't needed with so many other magic options. Place a trap with runes. Hex the enemy a few times and then activate torment to get their attention. Use wind infuse (or wind sigil if you took it) to finish the fight once your opponent is close. It will be a very powerful build as long as you keep an ample supply of mana potions.
      Hope that helps!

    • @starcloister4651
      @starcloister4651 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SheenShots It does, thanks! Also I noticed you mixed Rune Sage with Philosopher a few times in your list. I actually had people advise me against that because both the codex and the chakram is held in the off hand, so I'd either have to go internalized codex (which I don't want to) and use chakrams, or don't use them and have access to the advanced rune spells. What's your take on that? I feel like the mana regen perk for philosopher isn't worth it if you're not gonna use the other skills.
