I know this is a older video but it sure did help me out today on my Revo 3.3 luckily I was going by AMain store in Chico today and was able to get the parts followed the way you did in video and up and running like new again thx for the video
I do like the lower gearing. I don't run it on packed or paved surfaces much. So low gearing gives me that pep and is easier on the clutch. I'll have to check out your videos on my private account. I'm glad to meet another nitro fan.
I was going to sale my slayer Pro. I went through it so . So the new owner would be totally happy. But as you see . I’ve been uploading a lot of videos with it. I love my nitro. And our nitro Community .
@@pitbikecookracing3324 They are beautiful. I love engines. I still remember the excitement of the engine roar of when my father took me to a dirt oval race when I was 6. Or when he took me to a Ford dealership the day they happen to start a Ford Performance 358 ci engine. You could feel the power in your chest.
It is a really tight fit. Mine does not hit. You just need to make sure it is all the way in. Use a flat head driver or a popsicle stick to put the bottom of the air filter down by the little ribs. Be careful not to press too high or you can puncture a hole in the rubber boot. Then you have to give it a bit of a twist L or R.
So, this swapping out the stock bell clutch for the high speed bell clutch? I ordered it from Traxxas but didn't know it would be this involved. This is my first Nitro.
Watched this vid because I encounter a problem and the clutch could be it ... If anyone can and wants to help out, here is my problem: Have a new revo 3.3 and I can ajust the needles and idle but what ever I do, the car keeps moving as if there is no clutch applied. When I google the problem, I only find the opposit, car doesn't move. Could it be the clutch and if yes, what do i need to check out? Other option is an air leak, but for that, it idles (with wheels turning, haha) way to normal. Thanks
I am not sure if it is "new" out of the box, or "new" to you. If you bought it new and within the return period, I would take it back to the shop. The shop-keep should be able to diagnose it. It sounds like you have done all you can to tune it. If it were the clutch, the truck would want to die when the tires hit the ground usually. Although, a weak clutch will do something similar to what you have described. But it could be the engine bearing seals that are leaking. Check the fuel system for leaks. Make sure the tank seals correctly. If it is "new" to use and bought used, it is possible for a bearings to not seal correctly. The front bearings only have one seal each as the fuel lubricates them. This can cause the engine to not tune correctly and be lean and produce an effect similar to what you described. This can happen due to the engine just being run a lot (they generally last up to 3 gallons) or the engine has been run too lean and overheated causing the seal to damage. This can happen when run at 275F 135C for extended periods. @@telecomandorc Thanks a lot for replying. It's a new out of the box revo. Had troubles get it started first and then troubles keep it running for breaking in. I'm only half way with the breaking in procedure. I put the needles all back to factory now. When it is jacked up it runs idle with "normal" rpm but wheels are always turning. When I put it on the ground it dies, unless i push the throttle a bit, then it runs. When I pull the breaks to a stand still it dies again. There is always pressure on the clutch. I would not mind trying to fix it myself because it's trouble sending it in out here. But I'm also pretty newbie.
@@jonasgraf9692 My pleasure. That sounds like a clutch problem. It could be a weak spring of a broken spring. I would remove the motor and take the bell off and inspect it. For the engine? If you remove the 4 screws from the engine to the mount, you do not have to re-do the mesh. You just lift the back of the engine and turn it slightly to release the throttle link and lift off.

I am glad. Keep RC alive and fun! 🤝😎
thanks for the video just needed to know how to get to the spur gear.

In a way, I think nitro teaches one to take care of our RC. I also think it is easier to modulate the throttle. The basics.
@@telecomandorc I agree. I went from Rc boats. To nitro. Nitro has made me pay attention. Plus the sound. Mind blowing.

Nitros in general I would say are very involved. But in a way, that is part of the appeal. Strange it seems.
What do you recommend on the spur gear teeth ?
I am running a 40T. I like the way it runs. I generally run on grass with some dirt. So I geared it for grass.
