The Pro4 is heavy but it is 4WD. I would try to tune it a bit more. See you your Tx can increase steering angle. Sometimes it is the servo or stock Tx that limits the steering angle and not a mechanical limitation of the steering bell crank. Are you racing with other 4WD SCTs or 2WD? If it is a 2WD, those things are light. The AE SC6 is awesome. I am not going to recommend you buy another one just yet. Let me know what trucks you are up against so I can give you a better suggestion. Let me know what class as well. Is it Mod, open, stock?

@@kyle-tx7ce See if you can revert back. If not, try running the update again. I do not want to make you spend money, but I have had the Rx fail. When I replaced it, it worked. Although, that is only on one model because now I only keep the TQ or run the Futaba.

@@telecomandorc I’ll try am new to this rc hobby and this is my first proper basher I was on a mjx hyper go 1/16th so the widemaxx is a big upgrade do u know how I can restart the update and if I have to spend money I don’t mind just want it to be perfect again and I won’t be using the Bluetooth again lol

@@kyle-tx7ce Remove the B-Link from the Tx and try it. If this does not work, it might be the Rx. Swap it. The issue is that they are expensive. See if you can get an lender. A Futaba 3PV is a great Tx that comes with an Rx for about $130. The Traxxas Rx is about half that. So, it is tough as a new Rx might solve it for less. But if it does not, you will will you had just bought the new system. Futaba and Sanwa are just much better systems and you can program multiple models and later add gyros if you really want to. Consider watching this video first: th-cam.com/video/smqcXxtinfI/w-d-xo.html But I do swap out most of my Traxxas systems, and keep them as spares as the Rx is what usually fails. Try a new Rx. See if JennysRC has them. The generally have sales where you can get a TQi for about $50 for a Tx and Rx combo. Look under Maxx-W.

Try reversing the rotation of the motor through the esc and the reverse ch2 in the Tx.

If you can find a smaller spur to fit a larger pinion, that works. But I do not recommend those gears for lower Kv motors. It will bee too slow.

Was it the bulkheads? That was a weak point. As well as the shock shafts. I am surprised you have not bent a chassis on the Savage. I am not going to dispute quality, but I will say the Savage had a better engine.

One the size of a TRX4M would be cool.

I'll have to try them. I thought they had the same rating. Although, some places only allow deans for some classes.

I found your comment funny for some reason. Not sure that was the intent. I will defend the Mini LMT. It is just cool and scale looking. It does not have to handle the best, it just has to look good while it handles what it handles. And I think that is the thing with Tamiya and some Traxxas models. They just look good (Tamiya while on a shelf and Traxxas the way it sways and articulates).

That is true. Traxxas simply has local support in many places. I would have to order all parts for the Rog1 for example. It reminds me of the TC 3Racing Cero. Great competitive chassis for club racing. But everything has to be ordered. Although, it is so inexpensive that one can buy two and spare parts for the price of a Mugen or Xray. Not the best comparison. But I do prefer the look of the Mini Maxx.

Nitros in general I would say are very involved. But in a way, that is part of the appeal. Strange it seems.

Financially is a good point. Arrma has better sales. The Omni Terminator can be found for under $200. We will see when it comes out how it does. I am actually looking forward to this model. You gave me an idea for a video. 😁

When I get it I will see what the size of the shocks is. It might be a larger diameter similar to the Slash.

I would push it all the way. Turbo does not kick it until you go full throttle. You can probably set boost to 10K rpm. What esc are you running? Can you program boost in increments?

Just like they did with the larger model. It is possible. I will see what plastics they use on this mini. The diff and shafts look promising. But I am not sure a wide kit would interest me as it really distorts the look of the vehicle.

I like the comment. Good observation. It is for the cooling fan that is built in. Luckily the MT body covers more of the area compared to SCT. But very good point. Given your observation, dirt might not be as big of a deal as getting a little stone in there that could break the blades. Good point. I have not had an issue with the Slash 4x4 yet. But it is something I will now keep an eye out.

It's even in the Supra 3.0. I really like it. I would say it is the Toyota 22R on motors. Not the fastest, not the strongest, but the run time is good and it is just enough power to get the job done and have fun for a relatively good price in an RTR.

At the time, it was the only one they had gotten at a local shop. The shop owner was really cool and put my name on it when it arrived for me to purchase it as soon as it arrived. Others wanted it, but it was mine.

Since we are talking about opinions, my favorite (no longer produced), was the Slash 4x4 Platinum. It was $400 and came with the VXL, GTR shocks... just needed a Tx and Rx which I already have. I just wish the Slash 4x4 came with the Rally tires.

Thank you. I have not watched Nezzo's video and I cannot find it. What is the channel name? I have not watch RC videos. I did a long time ago, but many started sounding like used car commercials or advets and promos. I used to watch UltimateRC. I miss his reviews. Lately I have nee working on my language channel and a basic car repair channel. Hopefully once my kids grown up, they can help me out with the RC channel. Each one has a 4-tec 2.0 in a box waiting for them to be old enough to listen to my instructions. I am really looking forward to getting this drift car. according to Traxxas it should be 5-8 days.

The race director is a great guy, but he is really busy and relies on others. And he cannot be a 20 places at once. I remember him calling out individuals for saucing VTA tires. But most guys did it, so it was tough. Some guys started complaining about some other shenanigans and the RD started cracking down. It was interesting seeing grown men complain why they got called out and some newer guy did not. IT is just tough for one guy because he would have to disqualify a lot of people. And tech-ing would take a really long time. But the RD tried.

I guess I'm pretty lucky then ..the guys I race with are pretty honorable... We police ourselves so the RD has an easy joy😂

@@donnienicholson180 Lucky. It also depends. We had a nice group of guys too. Xtracrispy, Redshell, Stan, and Mark are great guys to run with. Running mini was honestly the best.

You might be right. But it was a request from a viewer. Also, it will help newbies not get demoralized thinking it is their truck or skills that never improved. Or they can make the choice knowing what may happen. That is one of the reasons I stopped running Euro and chose to start testing stuff.

You're welcome but it's more of a club thing.. IMO to hold people back so the guys with more knowledge can cheat and get an upper hand

LOL what a coincidence!! We used to bash on an old tennis court...when the rules were tight, we had good numbers but lots of complaints.. We then made it open aka Carolina Hot Rod... leaving every one to mod to their hearts content.....the class died.. Crazy

There should not be. The pins, are these the ones in the shafts that go to the cups on the diff?

@@telecomandorcthe pin I am referring to is the screw pin(Traxxas part no. 3739) which holds the rear suspension arm to the bottom of the transmission case (which is hot racing). There are two tabs labeled left and right that had to be screwed to the bottom of the case. I can not tell exactly where the binding is occurring, but before I re-attached the bottom of the shock to the rear arm…the arm would not fall freely. If I lifted it up, it would stay in the elevated position. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Also…wanted to let you know…I did my shocks just like you demonstrated in another video, with the bigger shocks and it works perfectly! @@stephenwintz4648 My pleasure. With RPM arms, two are three possible issues. 1) the arms have an up/down orientation. But I doubt this is it as your hafts with hit the arms as the suspension compressed. 2) the gap between the two holes bees to be widened. When you slide the arm on the gearbox case, the arms should just slide with very little play. If they are snug, use a file to remove material until free. I think it is "2". Now... check the gearbox case too. Sometimes the pin does not slide smoothly on the case and you needs to ream it. If you remove the arms and the pins feel snug when you slide them in the case, you need to ream it.

The motor can handle it is geared lower. But the esc is rated for 8.4V only (2s or 7 NiHm).

It is a nice system. I agree. I enjoy it on the 4-tec models. I think it is the low gauss that allows for the low cog effect.
