Hawaiian Airlines Announces Premium Cabin Redesign of its Airbus A330 Fleet with Lie-Flat Seating

- Hawaiian Airlines today announced plans to introduce new luxury design elements and enhanced service options in its A330 premium cabins, including the addition of 180-degree lie-flat seats. The premier global carrier for leisure travel to Hawai’i has developed its new seats in partnership with Optimares, an Italian manufacturer focused on traveler-centric design. The first newly outfitted aircraft is expected to enter Hawaiian’s long-haul network in the second quarter of 2016. The airline will begin installing lie-flat seats in the remaining 22 A330 aircraft in September of 2016 through 2017.
ok but you really said nothing about the seat. I wanted to see what it does, offers etc.
Lovely. As regular trans-pacific traveler I was not happy with the Biz Class seats - for the same price i could have used Virgin or Fiji (also nice new seats), even United and Delta are good. For short haul these are too much but the long haul flights to Australia will put Hawaiian up the top of the list. I hope we see a better lounge setup too.
we'll see. i stopped flying hawaiian when i started flying to asia regularly because of the seats and the food. it would be nice to start getting hawaiian miles again..

I can't wait!! Last time I flew first class HA it was a bit...out dated compared to other airlines I've flown
Thanks to these new seats Hawaiian Air just screwed us over for being loyal customers and booking in way in advance. Got a call about seat issues and returned call to find out we lost our Extra Comfort seats due to a plane change and was offered to be stuck in Row 31 and a refund our our premium seats. That's it. Asked about a bulkhead seat and they said there are none. I pushed and they told be there are seats in Row 17, but you can only purchased those 24 hours at check-in. Tons of seats in First Class as well. So this is what you get for being loyal -- We could have taken another slightly cheaper flight on Alaska Airlines, but since we fly home every year we went with them. No more.

So...new seats means increased prices, right? Isn't that how it always goes?

When I pay to stay anywhere, I'm someone who is exchanging money for service. When I'm a guest my stay is at the compliments of my host.
