2005 Ford Excursion Rear AC Heat Blend Door Actuator Repair (part link in the description)

No rear heat in my Excursion. Super easy fix that saved me a few hundred bucks at least!

I noticed that myself but I wasn't about to redo it. I was kind of sick and I've quit smoking since. Surprisingly, the throat clearing has stopped. Thanks for noticing.

I have a question I am having I think the same issues but opposite I had heat but now that it getting warmer I had to add some Freon but the front is cold ac but the rear is still blowing warmer air you think it possibly the door is my issue as well? Or you think something else? Thanks

Man..I'm trying to figure mine out now...Rear blows hot until I turn it on max ac...then it blows cold. Thing is crazy

Did you ever figure this out? I think I’m having the same issue. After reading the owners manual, sounds like if you put it on max AC, it overrides the rear temp control. I just had AC service done and the rear blows out warm air unless I put it on max AC

if you make that kind of money to put fuel in that thing i would have to imagine you would have made alot more than 400 dollars at your regular job working the same amount of time it took you to play around with your vehicle. you probably would have been money ahead to pay the shop to do it. although i am thankful you made us a video.

MYbe I missed something? I thought this was about ac/heat but all you tested was panned to floor which you said was already working at the beginning. So does the heater/ac work now?

So the AC was actually working but the motor that moves the door that blends the hot and cold air wasn't working. The door was stuck allowing only heat to exit the rear vents. In this video, I explain how to replace the motors that operate the blend doors.

Very possibly. I would start there. Hopefully it's not the rear heater core. That's a much more extensive removal and install.
