  • Beechcraft Bonanza: Why It is Excellent Even Up to Today (Beechcraft A36/G36/Skipper Bonanza Review)! The Bonanza is a rockstar. It’s one of the most produced planes in the world with over 17,000 units sold. In the past, there were some problems with the V-tail design, but despite this, it’s still the only plane that’s still being produced since 1947. So, don’t swipe or click away because here is What Makes the Beechcraft Bonanza Excellent.
This seemingly small general aviation plane can house 6 people inside, including 1 pilot. A company by the name of Beech Aircraft Corporation located in Wichita, Kansas started producing this iconic 6-seater in 1947, and to this day, the production has never stopped.

    "including one pilot" - wow!
Glad beechcraft changed that flap vs ldg gear lever thing back in 1894... Took them a while but they did it.

A P-39 is not a fighter jet. There was the Me 262, but I don't think many people were seeing " all those fighter jets in World War II."

It's difficult to know where to begin the critique of this episode. There is so much that is factually inaccurate. It's not "Top Gun" the data on the MIG-28 inaccurate but bad enough. You can't really cover 75 years of continual production in 8:48. Iconic and legendary are a couple of words that come to mind and the other Beechcraft that trace their DNA to this design is a large portion of the family tree after 1947. The comparison between the Cessna 195 and the 35 Bonanza simply show the revolution of the design that the Bonanza was then. Toyota Camry vs Tesla model 3 is a decent comparison in modern times.

Hilariously inaccurate facts. The v-tail was not the biggest design flaw, the truly fatal flaw was the severe aft CG that could easily be accomplished with luggage and passengers in the back. Beech subsequently moved the wing back a full-freaking 10”, this is honestly a bigger change than switching to a straight tail.
    Signed,
A pilot that once considered purchasing an older bonanza and decided not to after talking to current owners and months of research.

Old fifties technology. Slow and expensive. It's like buying a '57 Chevy.
