I just purchased the Peloton Asphalt a few months ago and my oh my is this an impressive bag. Before ordering, spent about a year of researching potential bags and was fortunate enough to visit and inspect many of big brands near me (Chrome Industries, Mission workshop, Inside Line Equipment and Timbuk2). I ended up taking the risk and ordered the Peloton without having actually inspected in person and the risk paid off. Here are my thoughts: First, the quality and build of this backpack is literally second to none of the brands mentioned above. Like it legitimately feels like the Peloton Asphalt was built to survive a nasty motorcycle crash, or an atomic bomb. Second, the attention to detail is unreal. Every time I pick up this back, I can feel the pride of workmanship and design that was put into this bag. The people behind this company truly put their souls into this produce. Everything has purpose. Every detail is so meticulously accounted for, ergonomics and everything. Third, this company is still looking to improve. One of my reservations with all of the bike messenger bag brands was all of them used velcro, including LBB. But when my bag showed up, they had replaced the velcro with very thoughtfully placed magnets! Hundreds of times better -- I absolutely love it. So there is good chance that if you order one of their bags, it will be even better than what is shown in these videos or on their website. Overall, this is a pretty amazing bag. Although pricey, it is definitely shocking that it is as cheap as it is compared to Chrome and Mission. The bag I would have purchased if not the Peloton was the Blck Chrm. While Chrome feels almost as indestructible, it does not feel like Chrome is at the same design level as LBB and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I think once people in America begin discovering this brand, it definitely has the chance to shake up Chrome and Mission. Highly recommend.
I really appreciate the fact that you guys keep improving the same pack instead of moving on, this is the only backpack that "has it all". Thanks for the great video
Every minute of this video my jaw kept dropping. I have seen a lot of design features on bags but never like this. This is just next level thoughtfulness.
I have not seen a more meticulous review with such great demonstration of all the features. Thank you so much for this review, I will be purchasing one asap.
As far as I'm concerned this is the HOLY GRAIL of backpacks.(and I've looked at hundreds) The minute you restock the Asphalt I will certainly order one.
Got the asphalt as an anniversary gift from my fiancé and I have to say that this bag is freaking awesome Been around the world with this bag in all weather conditions and it’s still like new Awesome bag from an awesome company, definitely recommend this bag to anyone thinking about getting one!
Have had this for 4 years now and love it; definitely looking into buying the smaller Peloton S as an addition since my everyday carry is pretty small most of the time
@@kvg123 Definitely not as strong as it was on the day I received it, but it still keeps things secure. The velcro on the smaller front compartment has only ever opened by itself once, but it was because I packed it with too many things. Aside from that, it's been my go-to bag for pretty much everything in the past 4-5 years. I've been patiently waiting for an Asphalt restock because its new hook system for the main compartment looks and seems more stronger and reliable than the super loud velcro
This is amazing, and if we could do some research and see what's going on with this bag. I've been researching a ton of travel bags / daypacks and this one looks really awesome. On a random note do you guys ship to Canada?
Hi @lbbjk, I would like to order the Peloton [S] Backpack, and also with the additional Padded Hip Belt and the additional Hook Strap in one order. Unfortunately, the additional belt and strap aren't available for some time. I tried to reach out to you using the form on your webpage (a few weeks ago!), enabled watchdogs, etc. Can you please give me an estimate, if / when, the additional padded hip belt and hook strap will be available? My current 'urban backpack' has almost disintegrated completely by now.
This bag is only $169?? That's super reasonable for the quality and engineering. I looked at the YNOT rolltop, and if you want most of the upgrades that bag is $550! The only thing I would change would be to put the metal hooks like the asphalt bag for the compression straps. Ive stepped on so many clips and broken them that I try to just go for the metal hooks. Also if it came in a dark gray I would probably get one right now.
This is answer from lbbjkt: So the difference between the two are several, i’ll break them down to the following points below: 1. Materials. The Peloton Asphalt has additional 6mm thick, vegetable-tanned genuine cow black leather embellishing all over the bag, in the form of zipper pulls, label base, sunglasses slot, etc, while the regular Peloton doesn’t have any. 2. Parts. All Parts in the regular peloton uses Acetal (POM) Plastic parts, while most of the parts in Asphalts uses a 6061 series aluminium which is not only stronger, but also provides nicer aesthetics. 3. Function. Primarily in the external carry system, Asphalt has more options when it comes to carrying stuff outside of the bag, in addition to four horizontal and diagonal hook straps that can be combined with many varieties there are also two vertical hooks that can latch onto the bottom of the bag, there are two attachment points only available on Asphalt, this means the items will have vertical support in addition to lateral support. Additionally, the aforementioned vertical hooks also serve as the rolltop closure, and since the length of said hook straps are adjustable, it also serve to tighten the rolltop closure whenever the rolltop gets expanded, meaning you’ll have a much more stable top part when moving, compared to the regular Peloton. The Asphalt also sports a side handle, and a luggage slot. Two things that the regular Peloton has yet to have. 4. Lining The Regular Peloton uses a lightweight 150D Polyester inner lining, which provides decent amount of water repellency. Combined with the 1000D cordura® outer, it can withstand continuous exposure to rain for up to 40 minutes. The Asphalt however, uses a slightly heavier TPU tarp liner, a fabric impenetrable by liquid no matter how long the exposure is. 5. Size The Asphalt has a slightly bigger capacity of 48L compared to the 44L of the regular Peloton. The five points above are the main difference between the two, there are also several other minor cosmetic differences such as color, graphic styles in the labels, the amount of freebies you get in the box etc. The Asphalt is more versatile as the size is bigger and the inner lining makes it more durable and impenetrable by liquid.
I tried to order this bag from the LBB website, but it doesn't seem like they are set up to ship to the US. The website expects a district and subdistrict and won't go forward without one, but the USA doesn't have these. Has anyone successfully ordered one?
If you talk directly to their customer service, you can get it sent no problem (the online form is still a little bugged)....had mine delivered a couple weeks to Canada in just under a week
I literally just ordered one here in Cali. What you have to do is input your city into the Address 2 slot instead of the district slot and you’re good to go. I spoke with a representative from LBB who helped me through it all.
Just purchased this bag, I cannot wait to try this out! I have always been a fan of chrome due to their material and size, but they never have been able to make a piece as such. I really hope that my investment in this bag supersedes my expectations, especially the quality.

Enzo C I had one these...bag is definately well made and very tough..Not so waterproof as advertised though so I usually still use a rain cover...The bag is quite heavy, it gets tiring after wearing it for a while even with minimal load...but construction is bombproof.
I love this so much, but why in god's name is there velcro everywhere?!? It's ruined! Also, that cavernous main compartment really needs a clamshell opening at the back

Got one for about 2 years. Very satisfied
I finally found it. I appreciate you guys going into the details of the bag. Really impressed with the features and videos. 👍
Love this bag
Wow! How come I hadn't heard of this brand before! Amazing designs, so we'll thought, cool aesthetic, and top quality materials!
my 2nd year with peloton already. Loved it
I have Asphalt and it's truly amazing! The only thing which might be problematic for some people is its weight. Is the Peloton lighter than Asphalt?
I can see a lot of thought went into this bag.
I just purchased one. I am looking forward to "getting to know it".
Love the look of this but it's HUGE. I wish there was the same style but like a 20l version that is less wide.

Been rocking this bag for the last year. Amazing do everything bag!

Pretty good man 👌👌 I really appreciate good design and obviously a lot of thought has been put into this particular product. Well done.

yup, they should be back in stock within 2 weeks, while the Eclipse version of the Peloton are available right now
Hi would you be restocking this anytime soon?
Will you make a clamshell opening version?
I can see this bag is superior compre to the overprice Tumi bag.
it's cool backpack
Hi! Love this video but can you tell me does it fit under the plane seat when rolled? Thanks if any one knows
Been using mine for 4yrs and never had any issues with it. It withstands any weather.
It needs to be placed in the compartment above your head.
If you would ever release a 20-something liters version of this bag I'll be willing to pay many doubloons for it.
Alessandro Fabbro doubloons love that word.
