Using my Echelon on a daily basis for six years now and besides some dirt there are zero issues. Would definitely buy again and praise the brand for their great products.
Great review, Mike! I’ve been using the Slingshot (LBB’s sling bag) on my bike for years now, and The Breakaway as a backpack. They’re fantastic products that hold up very well. Glad to see someone else in Toronto has found them!
Really nice bag, I can see that being a favourite among bike couriers. I dont ride with a bag like that anymore but if I did, I would be thinking about that one but one size up.
Very well made video man. Just browsing some brands like chrome and mission workshop. But stumbled upon this brand and ordered it after watching this video. Thanks man
I've used this messenger bag DAILY since January 2020 (almost 4.5 years) and the only wear on it is sun-fading and I wore out one of the side zippers. Even so, I just treated myself to a new Eclipse version with the reflective pattern on the cover flap.
Good review. Never heard of the brand, but definitely going to check 'em out. I am a fan of Chrome and NY Portage which basically dominate the NYC messenger scene along with Timbuk2. Never heard of Push, was that a Canadian brand ? Chrome and NY Portage used ballistic nylon 1680 denier or 1000 nylon cordura, waterproof linings and very similar features are their messenger bags which might have better durability. Life Behind Bars has some very cool backpacks that I have to check out ! Thanks for the video.
Nice. Push the Envelope messenger bags were made by the owner of a Toronto bike shop named Urbane Cyclist. They were huge in 80’s and early 90’s. At their highest point, you probably had 90% of bike couriers in Toronto using them. She basically just decided to stop making them sometime around 2010, I think. I used one for commuting to work for 15 years. Looked almost unused. Thanks for watching and info about what is popular in New York. Cheers.
Correct. You won't find it sold in Canada. You have to buy it direct from LBB. Costs for delivery to Canada do add up. I paid $273.83 CAD to LBB in June 2023 for my 22L Echelon + Utility Pouch of which $49.04 was shipping costs. In addition to that, I paid $47.67 CAD to DHL Express for duties, taxes and brokerage charges.
hey Mike, thanks for the review! Does this come with velcro 'blocking' strips? I remember having them on one of my timbuk2 messenger bags - super useful if I don't want to wake everyone up early in the morning with the loud velcro opening sound.
@@bikesbymike thanks for the reply! Do you know of any other bags with a nice quick release system like this one? (something not from Timbuk2) I was looking at the Chrome Industries Kadet Max (which is smaller), but apart from the buckle system, they have no way of loosening the strap to flip the bag forward like this messenger bag.
@@pingola33 I haven't seen any other bag with the same features of the Echelon, that's why I went with it :) Chrome makes good bags, but like you say, no easily adjustable strap and it has Velcro. Osprey, same thing. The Mission Khyte is a really good quality bag, but PRICEY and no adjustable strap, but no Velcro either.
@@mikemillar795 ah i see, actually im shocked when discovered LBB that many foreign people has the product. its rare local brand getting worldwide and im kinda late to discovered LBB. recently just got that pouch and i loved it haha

You definitely don't spot many of them in TO. Glad I'm not the only Torontonian with one!

I have the 32L echelon since 2017, love it

Very nice review!
Can you tell is it safe to use for traveling with my camera inside when its raining?
Yes. It would work well for travel. It’s quite padded and the waterproof liner is very heavy duty.
@ really helped to make a decision, thnx!
great review! any tips on how to buy this bag in Canada?
Only way is to buy it online directly from LBB. I live in Toronto and I paid $35.56 in shipping.
Hi! Like the video ....I look for this bag I'm in Montréal can you tell me how much you paid for shipping?
No place can buy in CANADA ??

No it doesn't. No way to avoid the flap from sticking to the velcro stip.

More videos and demo for this messenger bag.
Will do! Will see how it holds up over long-term use.
Utopia's decentralized ecosystem not only has a messenger with a crypto platform, but also its own built-in browser
Dang now I cant decided between this or the Buran III from Chromeindustries.
That's kinda where I'm sitting at right now. Which bag did you end up with?
@LimitedWard I got the Echelon but after a few weeks I realized a backpack would of been better for my needs.
my echeclon is come with that x strap
not as add on
The medium size version comes with the x-strap, but not size small.

Geez, purchasing in rupees and giving credit card info to a Jakarta shopping cart, makes me nervous. It's like a couple million rupee!
