What? Another new car already? We thought you said there was nothing coming to TheCarGuys’ garage! Well, yes, that was true - but you are not taking into account THE IMPULSE BUY factor.
This week, a 900-mile road trip to Scotland to pick up a new secret car and one you probably didn’t expect. To get there we needed to drive and fortunately Car Friend Tom from Ashgood Specialist Cars came through with a 981 Cayman GTS, and then a 993 Carrera as our trusted chariots.
So join us this week for an epic road trip to Scotland and back, and the reveal of a new addition to TheCarGuys’ garage - a VERY special car.

I've owned a 993 since 2005. The original owner is my doctor. He still asks me to bring 'the blue bomber' over whenever I'm going for a checkup.
That is just lovely. I would personally swap back the spoiler though.

Agree I don’t like that rear spoiler prefer the standard rear lid
Lose the rear wing and spacers and put the suspension to standard. The wide body 993 is purposeful enough.
Also to add that reason there aren’t many green cars around is that it is still considered to be unlucky by many

I thought you might go for this one - beautiful car! The official name for the interior colour is ‘Cashmere’. It’s a truly beautiful car but that 996 Tequipment has to go and I’d also be tempted to revert to the standard rear lid too!

Fabulous choice. Back in the late '90s while living in Philadelphia, one of my friends had a BMW 850csi, while another had a yellow 993 Turbo S while I had a 928GTS. Amazingly fun to have and go out for drives. Kudos on your impulse buy. Love the year, model and color combo. Kudos ;-)

Great to see you make those classic cars relevant again for us younger people (not that you're that old, just older :) ). You definitely influenced (positively) my view on classic cars. I "watched" this sale on Collecting Cars and thought at the time that has to be a great car to sell for that money. Then I bumped into this channel and saw you were doing this road trip back from Scotland. Wow, what a car. I am so pleased that it has found such a good home. I think in the long term it's a fabulous investment, but what pleasure you are going to have. We do an annual trip to East Lothian each year (only from the North West) to play golf and this year we will be taking my new 992. (Yes the clubs will fit in). I hope you have inspired many others. Driving in Scotland is such a joy. I will be watching your video again. Have a great life with you new acquisition. David

So, in order. Yes more of the collection and particularly why the owner has such an obsession. Any more footage of the next stop, that brief glimpse of the TVR wasn't enough? Lovely car in a lovely colour. Don't really get how it fits in your collection, but that might come clear when you explain your plans for it, or alternatively the answer is just 'the Collecting Cars Effect'.

👍Cannot beat or let go a C4S I'm the original owner only changed the springs for PSS9s and most of it is original, just changed the original fan&alternator a few months ago

Previously did a similar collection for an old car of mine, and the long journey home in my new car was such a fabulous moment.

I would get rid of the spacers if it was my car though. Rear ones appear to be too big, even making the tires rub.
