      Amazon and there are two main matcha tea, the first one is ceremonial type which is pricey, the second is culinary grade and can be used for drinks as well as cooking. So if you want to save money get the culinary variety.

    One little correction here: It's not a solution if it's suspended no matter how "evenly distributed" it might look like. It's only a mixture. A solution exists only in one phase. The leaves don't dissolve in the water, no matter how smooth it may taste.

    I'm pretty sure that before you dump a bunch of water in you're supposed to only put in a tablespoon or so to start so you can bust up the clumps and get the powder mixed to a smooth paste. After that you add the rest of the water and whisk until foamed. Otherwise not a bad video.

    Hi , can I drink green tea if I have anemia ? what's the best time to drink it ? What to take with green tea without impact of iron level ?

    • @HamCubes
      @HamCubes 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Howdy, Chicago Chicago, (my kind of town!):
      There are studies that show that consumption of teas, including green tea, can reduce iron absorption and therefore negate the energy boost many enjoy from green tea.
      Ultimately this is a question you want to discuss with your MD or DO; your specific treatment for anemia may not be affected greatly by consumption of teas. I would avoid investing in matcha until you get the clearance from your doc.
      But as the previous commenter suggested, liver is a great source of iron! And not having to actually eat liver by taking it as a supplement is brilliant! You may want to ask your doc about the liver supplement too.

    I thought that the jury is out on whether or not green tea really has any preventative action against cancer. I don't really care about that, though. I smoke and spend time in the sun and roll around in toxic waste pits all the time, so I've resigned myself to dying of several forms of cancer. But I love green tea, and concur that matcha is indeed the essence of green. So goddamned delicious.

    • @probablynotabigtoe9407
      @probablynotabigtoe9407 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would depend on where it was grown. The tea plant it self is only going to have the amount of radiation that it absorbed. If this is something you commonly worry about you should consider buying a Geiger counter. They are priced pretty decently these days.

    • @catubigklahrinz9553

    When I first got into tea, I was told that the tea in tea bags was crap because it's powdered, and that I should be drinking loose-leaf tea. Now, according to this, the tea gives you about ten times more antioxidant power because it's powdered. This would seem to indicate that the tea in tea bags is more healthful than loose-leaf tea. What gives?

    • @AdrianLucid
      @AdrianLucid 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tea in tea bags is not powdered, it's just more finer cut then loose tea.
      Both are steeped the same way, then thrown away.
      Loose tea is superior to tea bags
      Matcha on the other is the healthiest of all teas. It's made of the whole leaf that's crushed into a fine powder that you consume without filter as you drink it whole
      There are different grades of matcha, you can do your own web search on that, ceremonial is the highest grade

    You forgot to ring the little bell to let the faeries know its tea-time. You might as well pour it down the drain if you forget to do that. :(

    why make the bowl hot when you will put boiling water anyway on the matcha ...

      this is for temperature control, if I'm not mistaken. having your bowl already warm negates the cooling effect that a room temperature bowl would have on your water, which would ideally be at the proper temperature, NOT 212 F (if you put water this hot directly on your matcha you'll release some of the bonds which hold together desired/beneficial components of your tea. you also risk changing the flavor significantly). From how it looks, Dr. Nicolai boils it so that it will warm the bowl enough to avoid lowering the temp of the water, which he is adding directly to the tea, and so that the boiling water has time to cool down to 176 (he says 180, close enough) by the time he is ready to add it to his matcha paste.

    And like most things Japanese, they copied it from elsewhere. The words are straight ports of Chinese words (they still write it the same as the Chinese, pronunciation is similar Chinese). Utensils and powder itself, as with the words, were learned from China.

      It's not good to radiate everything you consume, the radiation will translate into the tea which you will then absorb can we say, cancer ?

    • @FireHill16
      @FireHill16 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Amy al The kind of radiation that causes cancer/cell damage is the high energy radiation, mainly gamma rays, x rays, and the higher end of the ultraviolet spectrum. Other radiation, like visible light, infrared, micro waves and radio waves, do not. It will also depend on exposure. You are not exposed to radiation if you zap your food, though, not even if you do so with gamma rays.
