    In your video, you (5:21 ) have a battery plus distributor with a lid. What is such a distributor called or where can you order something like this? Many thanks for the answer.

      That bus is stock from RAM on the Power Wagon. If you look for a "power distribution bus" on your favourite e-commerce store you should find something similar - just run an extension from your positive battery terminal with a high amp fuse between the bus and the battery.

    Again. Great video. Still working on the placement of the rear air connection. Depends on the bumper I use, if it keeps the hitch mount. My Jeep has had this air system in it for a couple years now. It's great! Has come in handy for me offroading, at the beach, and helping people out.

      Thanks - I'm glad the install went well. Having an outlet on the rear bumper is really helpful for airing up someone else's vehicle, so I hope you get that figfured out!

    Nice work, I had to mount mine in the Ram Box due to having a computer tuner on my power wagon that fills that space along with an S&B intake but nice to see theirs way as well. Hope you all are having a great day and thank you again for all the content ❤

      Thanks John. I considered the Ram Box for mine, but didn't want to take up the space when it was available under the hood.

      @@goofingoffroad absolutely, I would have done the same thing if I hadn’t have filled up under the hood already ❤️

    I just bought a new 2024 PW. I will be doing this to mine. Better than carrying a compressor in a bag.

      I agree. It's nice to always have it there, and it's great not to have to take up room in the truck bed.

    Was the ARB manifold not necessary for this install? I didn’t think it was needed just for airing up and down tires but when I was about to order the parts for my Power Wagon the ARB site says the manifold is needed.

    • @goofingoffroad
      @goofingoffroad  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The manifold will act as a buffer between the compressor and whatever you are airing up. It's perfect for things like air lockers, becuase it stores the pressurized air for the locker in the manifold, which means the compressor doesn't have to cycle each time you use the air locker. The manifold also gives you a couple of air fittings to run air lines from. However, it is definitely not a requirement to run the compressor. If you watch the video on the CKMTA12 page on ARB you can see them using it without a manifold or air tank. I've been using these compressors without a manifold to air up tires for years with no issues, but I do have a manifold installed on the OBA system on my jeep to pressurize the lockers. Hope that helps. Good luck with the installation!

    I mounted my ARB twin under the passenger seat. Plenty of room and keeps the compressor clean

    Thanks for this, I have a 22 PW and am interested in the smaller ARB CKMA12.

      You’re welcome. Judging by the number of holes in the NH Overland bracket, it may well work for the CKMA12. I’d check with them first before buying the bracket.

    Great job!) Do you know where you bought the rubber plug on the fitting?

      Thanks for the recognition. I bought the dust covers from an industrial supply store, here: www.hanessupply.com/dixon-k4dc - you may be able to find these at your local hardware store as well.

    Great video, where did you route the wire harness so it was protected and out of the way ?

    • @goofingoffroad
      @goofingoffroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I routed the wires along the firewall, above the engine. There are some factory brackets to zip tie the wires to.

  • @Pewtuber556
    @Pewtuber556 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How and where did you wire the switch?

    • @goofingoffroad
      @goofingoffroad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my case I used the switch pros 9100 to turn the compressor on and off. I added a link to the video in the description. You can use the switch that comes with the compressor. If you're going to do that then don't strip the wires and then you can plug the switch right into the compressor harness.

    Did I miss putting a fuse?

    • @goofingoffroad
      @goofingoffroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      The wiring for the compressor has two built-in fuses, that are close to the battery terminal connection. In my instance the switch pros has a built in fuse for the switched connection. If you are using a different switch you would want to add a fuse close to the switched power connection.
