I have been feeding them meal worms the last 6 months. they get braver every day. I have one that let's me hand feed him. I had another one today who decided to come inside my house (I sit by the door opening), jump around me and sit on my knee, and push his way into my meal worm container. they are so brave and talkative, gutsy little birds. I love hearing their song, especially early in the morning.

Some parrots sleep with one foot tucked in like that (maybe other birds do that as well). I wonder if he was feeling sleepy after eating. If not, this might be a sign that he feels very comfortable and relaxed around you two. Fluffing out his feathers is also a sign of relaxation.

Wow, it's so calm. I had one that visits my bird bath at 4.30pm and gives itself a good clean! But it'sa very frightened thing🙂

Hi are you in WA? An indigenous man told me once - because i have willy wag nests in my tree out front - he sad they call them boss bird! because they little but boss the big birds - and the big birds leave them be!
I see them chase off the big birds so effectively I keep water out for them and animals inside so they nest safely in my tree each year

Thank you very much. I have no space for a garden anymore and my very busy main road scares the birds. I once made an incredible garden and all manner of birds lived and visited there. Your videos take me back! 🦋✨🌈🪻🪷

Do they nest under your verandah? We've got a nesting pair and one of them eats out of my hand and the other won't come near me!

They are much more confident around humans in WA. Much more skittish in Victoria. I'm guessing the same in QLD.
