"TIPS, Variceal embolization, and RTO in the Management of Variceal Hemorrhage" by Arpan Mohanty, MD

Arpan Mohanty is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University and a hepatologist at Boston Medical Center with research interests in steatotic liver disease and portal hypertension. She completed her internal medicine residency at University of Pittsburgh, GI fellowship at Yale University and Advanced Liver Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her research has been supported by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, the Radiological Society of North America and Gilead Foundation. She is active in the AASLD and currently serves on the Guidelines Committee and Fundamentals of Liver Disease Committee.
Recently she was a part of the AASLD writing group for the TIPS, variceal embolization and retrograde transvenous obliteration in the management of variceal hemorrhage. These guidance statements were published this year (2023).
The current talk was presented at the INEDSYS Hepatology Club meeting on November 25, 2023.
