"Portal Biliopathy" by Prof. Yogesh Chawla, MD, DM

About the speaker: Dr. Yogesh Chawla currently holds the position of Chairman of Academics at Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. Previously, he served as the director of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. Having completed his medical degree at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur, Dr. Chawla pursued a master's degree (MD) in gastroenterology from the same institution. His association with PGIMER began in 1983, starting as a faculty member in the department of hepatology and eventually rising to become the head of the department in 1999. Dr. Chawla has been honored with the 1999 Dr. B. C. Roy Award and is an elected fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences. In 2015, the Government of India bestowed upon him the Padma Shri, the nation's fourth highest civilian award.
