    appreciate this video - thank you. I'm a returning player and admittedly overwhelmed by a lot of the game, but I'm currently 98 - probably spending more time than others on average, but also kinda chilling with mechanics and not min/maxing. I'm proud of my achievements, and loving the games content - learning many different things, but watching streamers or other 'pros' I do feel like a bit of a failure at times. I like the 'just do you idea' - each to their own and know that taking things at your own pace is the main goal.
    Regarding the 1mill plus shipment and min/maxing - its a little double edged - probably human nature for many to want to make the most of a system - but its also okay, and probably liberating to just play and enjoy what comes - have levels of focus here and there - aim for your own greatness etc and as a community know that people come with various levels of time, experience and perspective.

    Your workers are not taking wages when they are not working. Miners, for example, do not take wages when they are not mining. The same applies to everyone except farmers. You don't have to take them off. Only farmers take wages because they are always working. Also, you can remove gold from the city and get it in your inventory by using the "remove" button. This way, you can stop even the farms if you so desire. I hope this helps relax the tension a bit.
    When a streamer says "it is sustainable", they mean "it is possible to sustain". Even for a casual player that is a relevant information because that way they know it is possible and they can work out their own ratio using basic relativity. That information frees them the time to play the game rather than testing it to figure out the mechanics. It works this way because there are things which are impossible to sustain no matter what. T17 maps for example. They are not sustainable cause they don't drop at T17s. You either buy them from someone else or farm them at T16s. If someone who only plays an hour a day watches a streamer who plays 15 hours a day and expect to do the same things the streamer does... It is not the streamer who is out of touch, it is the person. Streamers are not, and cannot, give individually applicable information. Some of them are streaming for thousands of players. People should stop expecting others to spoon feed them. Anyone can easily watch the content, take out the information/numbers from the content and make some rough calculations on their head.
    About the "50 million shipments aren't rewarding" remark. Even that makes a difference. It means "don't save your materials. Send them in smaller numbers". "1 million shipments sustainable" doesn't mean that you have to sustain. It only means it is sustainable if you get level 10 farmers and play the game. It doesn't mean you'll sustain them if you are not playing the game. People should have the basic understanding to figure out "if you do not launch the game, you do not play the game". Also, regardless of how much you play, the relative "reward level" of the town to your actual farm stays pretty much the same. They might get a mirror shard a day from town and a mirror while mapping per day. You might get 1 divine from town and 10 from usual mapping. Or 10 chaos from town and 1 div from mapping.
    "The mechanic cannot be more rewarding because top 0.1% will abuse it and casual players will be worse for it" is also a fallacy. If the drop rates are increased, the prices of things won't increase; they drop as has been the case last season. A headhunter was 6 divines because drops were high and we had more headhunters available. This is basic supply and demand. And for god's sake man, top 0.1% do not care about casual players. Casual players are irrelevant to them. They are playing a different game.
    I typed this long for a reason. And here it is. From the video I can understand that you are upset. But the reason is neither the game nor the streamer. Something is eating you up in real life. Focus on that, figure it out and fix it. You shouldn't be this upset about simple things to the point that you lose logic. I sincerely hope this helps. Feel free to delete this comment if you desire. The aim was to help you out and if you've read it this far, it has already accomplished its aim. Take care of yourself.

      Honestly, I completely agree with you here. It's better to look at things objectively and logically like this rather than theorize who could be at fault.
      Whether you are a casual player or a hardcore 15h session veteran, no one side is wrong for wanting to play the game at a different pace or for different reasons.
      Some people want to try hard to earn the highest possible divines per hour because they enjoy efficiency and being rich. And to be honest, that's usually what these types of games are about no? You improve your gear because you want your character to be stronger, tankier, and run maps and content more efficiently.
      But there is also nothing wrong with wanting to play 1-2h s day only and try out stuff at your own pace. 6 links, 90% of uniques, and good bases get dirt cheap the later the league goes, and this is good for casual players because the rest is already ahead but they are not, giving them the opportunity to get going early game faster than if you were a casual player at league start where everything, including regret orbs, is expensive. It is easier to get a pretty decent build going later in the league than it is at league start for a casual gamer.
      Even if items like mageblood, exceptional gems, or mirrors happen to get more expensive, if you are a casual player you don't care about any of that. Because you don't care about efficiency or divines/h as much as someone trying to min max every stat possible with mirror tier items, so that they can run maps that they could already run before anyways, but about 20s faster. And efficiency is what they enjoy and there is nothing wrong with it.
      I say this because the same logic about efficiency and Kingsmarch applies. Some people care about min maxing their town for the most efficiency, some people just see it as a little extra side content. And as you said, telling people the most efficient way to run the town or the best strategies is not a bad thing. Those who wish to become as efficient as possible will put in the hours to game and to learn from the best, and those who are casual can simply take it slow and work towards that as a long term goal if they wish, or can also simply ignore the town all together and do simulacrums if that's what the enjoy for example.
      The bottom line is. Do what you enjoy and don't care about the meta. And if you do care about the meta, don't overthink stuff too hard and just play the game instead of sitting in your hideout for 5h looking for the best strategies.

    They don' take gold when they are not working. If they finish mining they won't drain your gold so no need to take them out.

  • @henrickp_edits
    @henrickp_edits 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    You need to do more high quant/rarity strats that to sustain and fully upgrade your kingsmarch. You can easily make 100k gold every 3 to 4 maps with a lot of strategies, it was hard at the start but everything comes together when you have your village upgraded. Also..
    1. Stop burning all your dust on small shipments.
    2. Casually picking up t3 unqiues and up in your maps and dumping them in your stash and once every hour or two, disenchant them. Put quality on them to make it higher.
    3. The boss fights wont simply appear if your not sending out shipments... just spam ribben fell with 100 shipment value and boom your suddenly getting boss fights.
    4. Mappers are really good as long as you know how to sustain your gold. (THERE ARE SOO MANY METHODS), I've gotten 100k+ gold from a single t17 before. And 25k-35k gold casually mapping with t16s 8 mod maps.
    theres ways around things even with limited time.

    I've got a town with all T10s, except for a few shippers who seem to love moving to Riben Fell. The main question I have is, are the rewards tied to a specific amount of dust, or shipment value, also map tier, quality etc. Because gold, crops etc are all time gated, so I don't want to be doing shipments and maps for a week and then someone has data mined that you only get X and Y if you have 65%+ quality on maps and 1.5M shipment value.

    nice take mate, you can not say names but i can, example empy he is just sayin that the league is rewarding a lot of currency the thing is, he max out his town like day 2 or 3 with gold earned with the party play, then play a lot each day and using strats for earning gold when the casual player just can not sustain the town nor play a full juiced map, the ground drops in this league are atrocious, i do have a char worth a mirror and a half because i played a lot and i know what to do but when you enter this game you have no way to know what to farm or how.

    I'm someone who usually play for 3/4 of a league. I've come to a point where I'm mostly using Tier 6-7 settlers with one or two Tier 9-10 in total. I can do a 1 mio. shipment value per day and I feel like I'm getting "nothing" in return.

    • @ggzii
      @ggzii  21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      That's because the game is balanced around the 0.1%, which is fine, but to have them moan it's not rewarding is funny, it's not rewarding because of them lol

    • @damo06ab
      @damo06ab 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ggzii Yeah I agree. I do though think that to some extent it's because said streamers are used to a totally different level of drops so this league maybe gives them flash back to Kalandra league start (afair). But I'm totally with you in that 99%+ of all viewers of the streamers are playing closer to you and me in and will never get to 50 mio. shipment investment.

  • @Pyk0101
    @Pyk0101 22 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    I want to say that i see exactly what your point is. I have almost maxed out my town (only disenchant sitting at level 10 waiting for the last upgrade) and my mappers aren't even level 2 because i just can't afford to pay for them, i can't even afford to roll for max level workers because they cost way too much for someone that works 9 to 5 like me. I can't spend days farming gold just to be enjoying Kingsmarch because i don't see how it is fun. Even if i farm for a few days literally only stacking crops i would be then sending one with maybe 5 million value shipment. I literally cannot see myself gaining any power runes whatsoever. I feel like PoE tends to be balanced towards the top 1% a bit too much as of the late leagues and i can't seem to enjoy most of them because of that. Last league i really played the game as much as this one was Crucible and at the end i just wasn't playing Crucible i was just playing PoE because the game is in a good state as for the Atlas / Skill balance or whatever. I enjoy PoE and at the same times it gets boring quite fast because i get bored out of mechanics that i feel like aren't for me. It probably is the reason why i feel like PoE 2 should be a breath of fresh air for casual PoE players/new players but at the same time will feel disappointing for regular/top PoE 1 players (if that's what they're going with). idk i think such rants needs to be taken into account as well. Thank you for the video

    What you're asking for already exists. You can already take gold out, you've been able to do that since day 1. Your workers don't drain the coffers when they aren't working. The "time left" of wages is a smart calculator. If you send a ship out for 4 hours, your calculator takes in to consideration its only paying that ships wages for 4 hours etc.
    1 million in crops isn't something most people can do multiple times a day, but a couple should be very reasonable. I think too many people are hard stuck on the alch and go strat which only gives 5-6k gold a map (Dunes), which is why they struggle so much to sustain.

    • @ggzii
      @ggzii  21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You can take your gold out sure, and make no crops. Or stop your dust from being enchanted yes, but that's not my point. My point is full time gamers want to cry that things are weak, but they literally cant make them "good" because they will be abused by the top 0.1% lol. They moan that things are weak, but they are the reason they are weak lol

    You don't have any gold because you are doing harbingers which gives no gold. I get like1.5mil gold every 20 maps on t17 strongboxes. For dust you can just buy items that give 1mil dust each.

      @@ggzii Yes but t17s have a lot less natural inhabitants, are a lot slower to do than t16s, and are not good to spawn quant altars which is really good for gold. You could be doing strongboxes on t16 or the popular map farming strat and gain just as much if not more gold per hour wise. In fact, every gold farming strat I have seen so far on TH-cam has been on T16. The lack of gold is much more due to the choice of league mechanics than not being able to do t17s. I only gave that as an example because thats what I'm running.
