Punjabi is a disappearing language, people from both sides of the border regard Punjabi as a ‘backward’ language hence children are taught Hindi/Urdu at a young age. Some of the purest forms of Punjabi are found in immigrant communities overseas where the language was preserved and not diluted with Hindi/Urdu.

    • @jamesbullard4423

I'm from New Zealand, just finished watching the video - Thank you Karl for representing NZ in a positive way, I just wish more people here would be kind to Indian and Pakistani people. The younger people these days are becoming nicer and nicer towards first and second generation immigrants which is good to see but 50+ year olds here aren't racist like they hate anyone but racist like jokes and discrimantory as far as if there was a life or death situation they would have a 'saving order' of indians/pakistani people last.
The main reason I make this comment is because it's 100% truthful and important that anyone from these places know this before coming here so they can be knowledgeable. Just avoid older generations just like most countries and you will have a great time.

There are a few arrogant youtubers, of course I wouldn't want to name them.. but they earn their bread and butter through youtube in a certain Asian country and end up making lists of things they dislike including the minorities and their call to prayer. I certainly hope that Indians can see the hospitality in Pakistan....a guest is a guest no matter where he/she from...Unless you come via a parachute lol!!. Even still we give you " Fantastic Tea" ;). but joking aside. Pakistan has shown you how to treat and invite guests, I urge Indians to the same, get rid of the Hindutvas who just spread hate and thrive on division. @karlRock keep coming back bro as a New Zealander and an Indian. That qamar is a type of guy which everyone need as a friend. Cool guy. Watching Karl video after long time. No matter how tensed our relationship is but as an Indian, Pakistan always fascinates me. our north Western boarder was beyond Peshawar before 1947 . Imagine that journey when people use to travel from as far as Kolkata to kabul for metting their relatives or for trade purpose. How fascinating that journey would had been by crossing gangetic region then enter Delhi ,then again starts your journey to lahore and Peshawar and then cross Khyber pass and then enter Kabul. Infact before 1947 Kolkata to kabul is a main trading route. There is even a story kabuliwala by Ravindra nath tagore about this. What days those are.

Punjabi from Lahore is the purest form of Punjabi.. this guy doesn't know much about Punjabi, I can assure you because I belong to a punjabi speaking family, people visiting from Indian punjab are always in awe of how we speak Punjabi in Lahore.. also there a difference between Doabi and Malwai punjabi

I have not been to Pindi in almost 40 years but it has changed a bit since but a lot has not. I wonder if you ever visited the old market. A Pakistani Major who was giving me a tour of the place said that it had been in continuous operation for some five thousand years.
