Omg!! Yes!!! I love her so much I remember she used to come out on PBS when I was a kid!!! When she said, “well... I’m on a budget so I’m using steak tomatoes” I love it!!
I really enjoyed this video /recipe. I made this soup tonight and it came out wonderfully. The leeks you suggested made this soup sing,Thank you Mary Ann for posting this! I found something very comforting about your cooking style too! Ciao!
sorry to be offtopic but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
Ciao Mary Ann. I am a long time viewer. Do you have the episode where you made the timballo or the episode where you made cappelletti in brodo and the pasta gratata? Grazie!
@kevin when comparing, it's than, not then. I trust Mary Ann a lot more than Rachael Ray. Then is a matter of time e.g. first do this then you can do that.
Hello Mary Ann, I'm from Ecuador and I want to ask you, if possible, send me by this means; the complete recipe for this delicious Italian dish. I wait for your friendly response. My most sincere gratitude. Atte César Ronquillo
They cut out certain parts of the episode, but in the original, she explains that you could make the pesto in a food processor, but she wanted to show us the traditional way.

Sacrilege, but I miss those green cans of Riviera Minestrone.” It was so good! 😂😂😂They don’t make it anymore, but such a comfort. Anyone else? 😅
Mary Ann is adorable. What a treasure.
Brings back good memories!
I loved this show back in the 90s when it was on UK TV!!

Aw man, I miss watching this show. 😕
I wish they had not cut out the part about how the mortar and pestle one belonged to Osvaldo’s grandmother, Isabella. Please post the full episode. ❤
OMG! I have the very same mortar and pestle, it was sent my father from his uncle in Genoa back in the 1950s. I sill have it.
Wow! I could almost taste it. Great soup recipe.
What a chef
I love eggplant but not in this soup. Like the leeks in this. Maryanne is a great cook.
Thanks for the recipe

I trust Mary Ann a lot more then Rachel Ray.
I actually like Rachel Ray's minestrone as well
I trust Rachel Ray's cosmetologist to wax my eyebrows and mustache as well as her cooking.

I'm so very happy to see you again. Mary Ann Esposito wow I got you again buongiorno
Cooking on time restraints , this has got to be vintage PBS
What about vegetable stock? I feel like chicken broth defeats the purpose of a vegetable soup
Any stock works chicken just has more umami & hearty & healthier especially if ya make ur own
Can I use mushrooms in the soup
Looks like this soup is going to be very blaaand.
So glad you do not use canned broth.
Her voice sounds a tiny bit like Julia's

Is it just me or does she have a little bit of attitude because she only has beefsteak tomatoes. And you better not be using canned stock...
Was this filmed before food processors were on the market?
