    I recall this pattern was one of the first things I learned on bass about 100 years ago--well it seems that long. I later came to call it the "What'd I Say" riff. It fits so many songs.

    thanks greg. "simple" stuff but highly underrated. Sounds so good to the ear, so one can never go wrong. It's the groove and pocket that matters.

    Hi Greg...great lesson, and eight iconic bass lines highlighting the pattern. Some lines that people might identify with, using this pattern, Lenny Kravitz Are you gonna go my way...Led Zep Whole Lotta Love...A shed load of Blues and Jazz lines and finally (tongue in cheek) most of Mr...James Brownnnnnn!!
    Keep groovin Greg😁👍

    BMW was in set of first gig I did in 1975! I've been over using this pattern for years...I guess many turnarounds go V7 to the I so it's an obvious place to start?

    • @GregsBassShed
      @GregsBassShed  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it's certainly a good bass line to demonstrate this pattern.

    Es solo para acordes menores ? O acordes mayores también

    • @GregsBassShed
      @GregsBassShed  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Funciona para acordes menores y dominantes, pero no para acordes mayores de séptima.
      Entonces, en la clave de D, por ejemplo, puede usar este patrón para Dm7 y D7, pero no Dmaj7.

    The fret diagram is the other way around to the playing :(

    • @GregsBassShed
      @GregsBassShed  ปีที่แล้ว

      You look at the fret diagram the same way as you look at your bass fretboard when you are playing, then it works fine.
