Great vid. WoS is gonna be nuts. What are your thoughts on paper standard & Arena (bo3)? Do you think anything will be banned in paper standard? Ixalan, Rivals, Dominaria,Core19,Guilds of Rav., Rav. Allegience, & War of Spark will be a ton of cards to pool from.
My little brothers LOVED these at Christmas time, by they've been waiting ever since for their favorite color combos in Simic and Rakdos. They're going to be so stoked
The 5 decks $5 thing is a really cool concept. Basically allows for a $25 casual set for kitchen table. I'd love to see more of these for other sets. :)
Lol. Did anyone notice the potion and art in the back change to the corresponding deck. Pitiless Pontiff for the Orhzov deck and Sharktocrab for Simic. This is why I love you dev. Keep up the great work. ❤😀👍
I don't know if you care to know this. But I been climbing in diamond on arena using a slightly modified version of your azorious mostly added 2 clear the mind and 2 psychic corrsion for added win conditions. These decks have pretty good game. Thank you for your time on these. Can't wait to try the orzhov deck.
I build a couple each season. Have a collection of them. Like anything, some are stronger than others, some are more technical, but they're in a similar ball park. Good for new players and casual multiplayer.

The Gruul deck looks most powerful but IDK if the others could outrace it or if Simic could hold on to gain the upper-hand through adapting everything. But I love the thinking behind the Azorius deck, the only one of the five that is not just "put out creatures and smash face". Perfect for the newbie who is ready to go unto the next level of playing. And multiple card draw options is always fun to play. Could we add a couple of Favorable Winds without unbalancing the deck?
Putting these 5 and the 5 from the guilds 5 for 5 video to make a “battle box” is a great idea. I did that with the guild kits, but this is WAY cheaper!
Not sure if you have an LGS, but it would be better to just drop $5 at your LGS. They would love it, the you could pay another $5 for a standard showdown.

I'd put the guildmage in Simic deck and maybe in Rakdos as well. Moving the counters between creatures makes a hell out of attacking/blocking you, and enables multiple activations of the Sharktocrab (for way less mana than the Shaper. This tempo might be relevant)

hey dev, I'm considering making a battle box with all ten of the decks you have done for this, do you think the first 5 play well with this new 5 in terms of power level.
Dev - loved the "box set" idea, would it be worth looking back the GRN decks, and adding relevant budget RNA cards? maybe leave it to a final review after WoS ?
I think I would run another counterspell package in the Azorius deck: 4x Essence Scatter 4x Sinister Sabotage 2x Quench I'd probably cut two Anticipates and two Revitalizes for it.
I was hoping you would do something like this as someone from my local magic store has just given me a couple thousand commons and uncommon cards that he had laying around. I was trying to figure out something to do with them haha. I'll now use his cards against him. Thanks!
I play on Arena, and despite the amount of money I dropped on Rav Allegiance and through packs I earned, I have very little in the way of Simic cards on the low end. OTH I can definitely play a highly tuned list. Weird.
Yeah Id have though the Azourius build would have been aggro, if not the unblockable, one fro us normal folk to build Though for a 'boxed set' a control deck is important so can see why you'd look for one here, be interesting to go back to the GRN decks and add relevant RNA cards :D
As great as Llanowar elves are, sadly they really ruin the guild feel for the Simic deck (although if you closed one eye you could just about see them fit in the Gruul and Golgari decks). All excellent decks which we could probably keep in a nice pack of 10 for game nights (if we can find enough Llanowar Elves and Lightning Strikes, that is!)
Two copies of Clear the Mind in that Azorius deck would really put the exclamation point on the control strategy. Who needs bird illusions when you can win by locking out the opponent? Oh wait... these decks are supposed to be fun for both players. Oops.

@@Ceyx000 Nothing in Standard looks like a required ban. WoTC dealt with Nexus issue in BO1 and Teferi will rotate out in September.

These feel so much more consistent and well put together than the PW decks while also still on theme
