I've had two of these machines. High priced POS. That high speed spin and low water usage feature results in one thing: dirty clothes. The machine is good for doing one thing tearing fabric and wrapping articles into one, tight, unclean and maybe torn bundle. I'm going back to the old style, agitator equipped machine. You ain't saving any water when you gotta rewash again.
l would rather get a ringer washer any day l doubt they are still being made , too bad this crap washer came with the house l purchased glad l did'nt shop for it , but lm still mad anyways not impressed with whirlpool

I'm 74 and was using essential home appliances, like a clothes washer, back when the "spin" cycle was a pair of rollers mounted on top of the machine that you inserted a piece of textile and cranked by hand. You wouldn't know that because you were still a yellow, crusty stain on your daddy's skivvies.
I've had this washer since spring of 2008. I've never had any problems with it. It works great and is a powerhouse. I'll be sad when it finally bites the dust, but I don't see that happening any time soon.
We had a Cabrio that worked well, but I would not buy another one. We had a repair guy look at ours when it broke and he said just put the repair cost towards a new one. Translation: this one isn't worth fixing. He also added to avoid them as they are problematic. When I purchased, I bought a GE, non-electronic panel, top-loader. Works well so far.
The Oxi dispenser is not dispensing the liquid. I checked the dispenser button and it is on "Oxi". It appears the dispensing orifice might be clogged. Any suggestions.
Mine just started flashing the start button and it won't start now. Funny I how was saying how much I loved this machine a couple of days ago. Had it 5 years problem free. I'm wondering if it's just a broken button. Mine doesn't click like the other two big buttons. Does yours?
Same problem, I solved it by unplugging it for a day. That allowed factory settings to reset. I suspect cause was a power surge or brown out. It also occurred when my wash room flooded, I suspect excessive moisture in a humid situation got to control board. Now I unplug it as a precaution so it is ready when I need it.
I changed the valve assy in this machine next but before I did, I checked it one more time before changing it and the stupid thing started working. I have no idea why. I changed the valve assy anyway though and it seems to be ok now.
You should run a diagnostic test to get the error codes. Then use the Tech Sheet to determine what the fix is. My problem was F1 error code which meant replacing the Motor Control Board. This could be your problem too. I put a video up online on how to replace the control board if you want to see it.
mine started to do this exact same thing this weekend. When you say replacing the control board didnt fix the issue, are you referring to the control module that all the wires plug into ( grey box) or the user interface( circuit board that all the buttons and knobs press into)?
Yes. the grey box with all the wires going into it. When I first ran the diagnostic on it I saw an error code F40. That relates to the blue valve assembly. I'm changing that next to see if that fixes it. The only thing left is the interface board if that doesn't fix it.
I finally fixed this by replacing the user interface board. I should have done that in the first place. Oh well, Its basically a refurbished washing machine now.. lol..

Its still doing this. I think its the main board. Currently only 3 settings work. I have to order a new main board for it soon as soon as I stop hemorrhaging money. If that doesn't fix it, I don't know whats wrong with it then. I've sunk enough money into it that I could have bought a new washing machine..
I have a final resolution, Take it to the Landfill and buy a Maytag. Mine is a piece of crap, subject to humidity issues, ??@#$ It is a washing machine when the service guy said it shouldn't be in a damp basement I about flipped. My Mom and Dads old washer lasted for 25 years down there!

Almost 600 dollars on sale to me thats not cheap and even if it should make it more than 3 months ! I will NEVER BUY WHIRLPOOL products again !
+Annette Richardson , I agree! I wrote to the company and included pictures of the mold that grows in the bleach, softener and detergent dispensers. They were really rude. (My fridge, which came in our house, is a Whirlpool, and is poorly designed. The coils are under the fridge behind a screen so you can't get to them to clean the dust, pet hair off.) I thought it was just me with the tangled, damaged clothes. I have to rewash most loads, as they come out with dirt and undissolved soap on them. I HATE this machine. We spent $700 on sale for this and can't afford another.

I have a camdrio washer that don't let the water come thru to wash clothes, what can be done to fix it

Ok, the problem came back. It wasn't the valve assembly. I suspect now that maybe moisture is getting on something that's causing it to act this way.
