Most Indians (including myself) are unaware of advances in science, medicine, and technology made by our ancestors thousands of years ago. My school and college textbooks only mentioned discoveries made in Europe. I am proud to be an Indian.
Above all I am proud of nat geo for bringing these things in the mainstream. Because our very own people are brainwashed to think of our ancient history which is more than 15000 years old as mythology....

Calculus was discovered by Madhava of Sangamgrama, who was the founder of Kerala school of mathematics in 14th century, 200 years before Newton and Leibniz claimed to have invented calculus (miraculously at the same time).
Decimal number representation, Arithmetic, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, all were invented in India, and was transmitted to Europe via the Arabs (except for Calculus, which went from India directly to Europe through Christian missionaries).
We indians still not aware of our ancient culture properly.
