It's definitely easier to play and handle and transport and record etc... but again, this is really influenced by an acoustic kit, so there's that... I really like it when great players play acoustic kits, I have no desire to do it myself... I actually got started with this because I was trying to find a quick and easy way to have more realistic sounding and intricate drum parts for recording projects. We just sort of spiraled into this whole other thing,

Thanks,.. Believe it or not, all of the sounds you've been hearing in this Yamaha are in it natively. In other words, I haven't been using any samples at all... I'm just using the stock presets, and I don't even alter those... Imo, they did a really good job of setting the thing up... Which is a bonehead thing, that other companies haven't done the same already, instead forcing the player to actually go through the process and setting it all up from scratch...
