Thanks for the looksee at the innards. I've got the same model, and after being reliable for years, it also seems to have begun not really pumping up to pressure like it used to although it seems to be running well enough. So, I might try the same as you--maybe a little cleaning and oiling will bring mine back too. It seems fairly straightforward.

@@diywithdave3186 Yeah, it worked a charm and was quite quick to do. I also had go back in to use a little gasket sealant goo to hold the sealing rubbery "o" ring in place beneath that little spring metal check valve doodad held on by the single tiny Phillips head screw. But it's all good now. Thanks again!

I find that hi-temp plumber's grease works well on the cup-washer or o-ring in a compressor.

How old the air compressor before you rebuild it ?

The 2 flaps on top of the piston look like Reed valves... I watched your axle replacement video. Tge video where you replaced the axle & control arm...You were very lucky that the rear control arm bolt was not seized!!!!! Mine were seized on my Pontiac G5 & had to be cut out!!! WHAT A NIGHTMARE IT WAS! Also, when I pulled the axle, a bearing came off with it & there was a gapping hole in the transmission. I forget exactly which side it was but, I think it was the passenger side axle. Now the transmission went out so, I surely hope that the front subframe bolts will come out. The rear subframe bolts are the 2 that attach the rear control arm...P.s. with small air compressors, you never want to run them for longer then 5- 10min at a time...

If you buy the $10 warranty just swap it out once a year

That's probably not a bad option. It doesn't appear be built to last very long with heavy usage.

Did you try contacting the manufacturer to see if they sell the piston seals?
