I bought this exact compressor because of a small leak and I was NOT going to pay about 2 dollars to fill my tire at pay compressor! I absolutely love it! Very fast inflation! The only problem I have with it after having it for about a year is that the gauge plate has warped and the needle is stuck and no longer shows correct pressure. As a matter of fact, it never showed the right psi. While it was pumping, it would show the right pressure, but when the compressor is turned off, it would show a different psi. SO I would have to use my digital handheld gauge. Also the the zipper broke on the bag after 2 uses! I'm hoping that the tire gauge on the compressor can be replaced without buying a whole new line for it!
Great instructional video, I also had to replace the fuse in my HF compressor for some strange reason it contained a Purple 3 amps fuse which I replaced with a 40 amps.
Great video man, now I need to service the one I have. Modded mine, put a normal style open flow female quick disconnect on where the male end was at the end of the handle so you can use a regular air hose instead of the one that came with it.
The piston shaved the sleeve on mine today. Bits of sleeve busted the piston gasket/ring. This is my third one in four months. They don't make them like yours anymore.
@@DinkAroundhey sorry to bother you but i have the same compressor barely used but for some reason it’s melting the fuse and fuse wires any idea whats going on thanks in advance.
It has some type of captive coupler on it. I would have to look again and see if it can be changed. That yellow hose is not that great. I agree that it could be better.
@MaintenanceBarn thanks I really appreciate it, I found out the the male end that comes from the handle is called a Nitto type "Q" fitting. It's a Japanese fitting. I'm looking in finding a nitto type q to 1/4 american standard. For now the only option I with using the original equipment is to buy the jaco lighting tire inflator. Check it out it kind of cool. I wish I could use a flexzilla instead of the yellow spring cable. I oderded the adapter but it says it won't be in until July 8. I'll update on my findings
Take the pump to a hardware store and match up some brass fittings. I modded mine to use regular air fitting quick disconnects, you need a free flow female or just drill a hole in a regular one. Or else when there is no male fitting inserted it won't flow and over current and blow the fuse. I also port radiused the intake port on bottom of the piston and exhaust ports in the head. It slightly increased the CFM, I used a 7 gallon tank and ran it up to 45psi I think it was 1.3cfm afterwards from 1-1.1cfm. Tiny improvement but it was free and I was already in there. The port work also got rid of a hissing noise while running.
You can, but you will blow the fuse. If the compressor had a check valve, you could do that, but this compressor doesn't and I blew a fuse in my experience.
Great video. I’ve used mine hundreds of times. Never thought about servicing it until yesterday. Glad you made the video.

Project Farm tested & rated this HF compressor a good value & performer at $30.00 👍
30? it's $79 right now at my HF, and was on sale for $69 a couple of weeks back. Are you sure you're not talking about the 100PSI one?
It was the 100 psi one.@@ianthomas1201
@@ianthomas1201Yea, he probably is. I just bought the 100 PSI one on sale over the holiday for $26. It normally goes for about a little over $40.

My hose recently broke, maybe that’s what I need to do to mine.

That's a real shame. Seems they always find a way to make them cheaper.
This is my 5th one in lest than 90 days smh
Dang! That is crazy. I am still using mine.
The jumper cable clamps broke on me. Do you know how to fix it? The negative(black) clamp broke.
You can purchase more clamps and connect them onto the wire.
@@DinkAround can you fill up a portable 11gallon air tank with this?.
I think that would be pushing it's abilities. I run a 2 gallon on a bigger compressor.
I cant hear much sound please be aware and bring the mic closer to you.
I own the new one and the power connector is horrible it has shorted out and in need to get into it and check where it’s shorted.
Thank you for posting! I should service mine 🤔
Only if your board 😂🤣 little compressor will probably run a long time without service.

Can you change the rubber hoes to something more standard so I can and a quick release coupler

7 years? wow i bought one back in march 2022 and it wont turn on same with my first one from the previous summer
Picked one up recently. Fuse blew on my third use. Removed the two screws but can’t get it out. Do you remember how you removed yours?
It was in good and snug. The air hose cannot be put on the tire before turning it on or it will blow a fuse. May have done that before 🤣
Never had that problem sorry and mine is 4 years old still working great I love 💕 that little bugger 🥰
The black rubber hose on mine started leaking. Is there a way to replace that hose? Thanks

@@1987FX16 thanks for this.
@1987FX16 that's exactly what I'm trying to do make it where i can use regular air connections..a good break down video would help
I thought you're supposed to hook it up first before you turn it on

From what I researched, you turn it on first, then you hook it up.
The bag is cheaper now.
What oil is it? Lithium or what. Nice tutorial
Probably you can use mineral oil
This is my 5th one in less than 90 days smh
Pretty sure you oil through the air filter port and this video was pointless
Thanks
Ahhh yes, much like your comment. Another TH-cam know it all.
Thanks for watching
Spencer is mad because it is to difficult to work on! I wanted to see how it was built.
