- d'strict made use of a public electronic billboard in Seoul’s COEX Square.
COEX is a convention and exhibition center that doubles as a gigantic mall.
The WAVE building is located in the Gangnam-gu area in Seoul, which is the Korean version of New York’s Time Square. The location is also sometimes referred to as K-pop Square as the screen often features K-Pop content.
The display the LED’s create, is called an anamorphic illusion or anamorphosis, which is a distorted projection that reveals itself once you occupy a specific vantage point.
The stunning 1,600-square-meter Screen is the world's largest 3D wave.

*2) Are there really wave sound effects live in person* - No I added the sound effects in this video, the original video from the creator of the sign *d'strict,* put a few wave sound effects in that did not marry up with the animation. I thought it was a good idea just poorly done, so I did a much better job of it in my video. Contemporary Graphics manipulation is so effective that it's all too often simply impossible to ascertain with 100% certitude that an image one sees is authentic or not, particularly when the images are recorded from a static location. Context is always important and in focusing entirely on the effect, the context was short, particularly with so few people on the streets at the time. So nice one.

@@noneofyourbeeswax01 This is the magic of recording with a 2D camera with a single lens. In real life, or with a stereo camera, you would immediately reveal the surface nature of the object. Anyway, it's impressive and thank you for conveying this illusion.

The original video had some basic sound effects of waves added in, but they did not match up with the waves in the display.
All the sound effects you hear in this video I edited in myself.

@@abhayprasad9580 no sorry I can't, as you would have to use imagery / video of captain america and i don't want to get in trouble with MARVEL.
but with all the types of chemical enhancers and steroids, not to mention genetic manipulation, if you could find a scientist / doctor who was willing to break the law + someone who is willing to be a test subject, I have no doubt you could change a person to be a super human.
about 20 years ago, a reporter asked random people at a gym, if there was a drug that could make you look like the perfect muscle man, like Arnold or Sylvester, but you would die 5 years later, would you take it, most answered yes.
