I use a jet sled all the time to haul feed to my bait stations. I hunt a really steep area and it is easier for me just to drag a deer out with brute force up a hill than use the sled. Once I get to more level ground though i just roll them in and it is easy. I use it to duck hunt and haul gear in. Great tool.
I got a hawk crawler this year which is a 4 wheel and it was pretty good. The handle could use a better bolt but it didn’t fail last weekend pulling a good size buck out by myself. For a longer drag I think I prefer it over just dragging a sled. It also folds up in a slightly smaller footprint, i.e. if using a SUV space saving is helpful.
While I usually employ my cart for getting my deer to my 4Runner, I use the Jetsled to hold my cart and/or deer. That way I usually don’t have to mess with the Hitch-haul.
I bought one right before spring of this year and have used it multiple times around the house for yard work. I haven't shoot a deer yet to test it out, and hopefully that will change. Also I plan on using it as an adult sized sled for when it snows!
Jet sled aids in getting these big Ohio bucks up in the truck also when you are alone. Run the rope thru a piece of washer hose makes the pull a bit easier. Simple solution with nothing that can break. One of my best purchases ever
I agree 100% about not being able to quarter and pack out. The Gutless Method should be 50 state legal on Public and Private lands.
They make a nice harness,I recommend that you make pulk sticks (helps guide)

Yeah transport is a good call for factor
I have used my Hawk Crawler deer cart for 3 seasons and it has served me very well.
I loop it around my waste and pull as I walk way easier then hunched over pulling with the antler.
Yeah the waste works good - even the harness allows you to put full body in it

For snow hunting, I added a couple of skis to the bottom. It works like a dream.
That’s brilliant
Nice info, Thanks for using an American Made Jet Sled!
I used one last year. It's perfect!

I use the same thing. Works fine now that I’m 68. A lot easier since after I couldn’t drag with just a rope. 😊
Try a hawk crawler cart. Love it
I know this is old. But also works awesome to float out a buck in a creek or river.
Maybe turtle wax bottom of sled to make it more slick? Low cost try.
I hunt where the marsh grass is tangled and knee high. The jet sled does not work very well in that
I just installed the wear pads on mine and pull it with my minibike
Its on my Christmas list haha
Solid buy
What size of Jet Sled do you use ?
I like my jet sled I bought a harness to pull my deer out lot easier
What size jet sled are you using? Trying to decide which one to buy.
so its 5 ft long 2.5 or 2 ft wide 8" deep i believe
If you use a tree stand harness... tie to that and just walk out.
