A couple of points: Trash compactor bags work great and very puncture resistant. And A set of trekking poles to go with the packing job do wonders saving your back, helpful even in flat woods.
Same 4 methods is use! I have a hawk crawler cart. I highly recommend it. It has 4 wheels on a rotating axle that make it easy to pull over logs, stumps, rocks, etc. It is not tippy either. It has nice rubber tires that i filled with liqui-tube. I have hauled so many deer out with it by myself including 200lb bucks, and several bears.
Great Video ! Think Smarter ! Not Harder ! I have 4 -wheeler, sled and deer cart and mostly pull them with 4-wheeler , my deer cart has a hitch . Keep the Great Videos aComing ! Stay Dafe & Healthy ! God Bless !
Good video buddy. I live and hunt in steep country and the older I get the tougher the terrain gets. I use my 4 wheeler when I can. I have a crawler cart that I absolutely love. What a game changer. It’s a bit heavy but I have customized it a bit like you have done with your cart. And lastly I have the same sled. Personally, I find that the sled does a much better job in thick/heavy brush than the cart. It seems like it doesnt get hung up on vines, briars, limbs, saplings, ect. Just an FYI to people who have never used carts: remember it will can be tough to keep it going up hill, especially if you dont have a level place to stop and taken a break. And it can pull you down the hill too. Safe hunting everyone!
For pack out option, I would recommend a small tarp to give yourself a clean area to work. I did my first pack out this year and wish I would have had one.
That cart dan has is awesome, but it's like 900+ bucks. A company gave him one to use on camera and its pretty nice. First buck I ever shot that I had to drag more than 50 yards or pack out was with that cart, went 1.25 miles easy and zeke could pull it even on the flat ground
@beforetheecho ya we used it all weekend before somone looked up the price. We were blown away, but it was one of them deals ya walk up to and pick it up expecting a carting weight and it's light as heck. Like the first time ya pick up a beast stand
From Google: Are trash bags safe for food? No. The use of plastic trash bags for food storage or cooking is not recommended because they are not food-grade plastic and chemicals from them may be absorbed into the food.Mar 23, 2023

I second the hawk crawler cart best deer cart on the market IMHO.
In the big woods i just use my safety harness and drag it out or with my ice fishing sled it's illegal in alot of areas to bring a atv on state lands.
Great Video !

Bungee cording deer in the sled helps.

Could you show your method for quartering out in the field? Most of us have probably only butchered a deer hanging up.

Right which is why I usually use game bags.
