Thanks For the video I unlock my trunk and it started I’ve been through a lot I had to change the fuel pump change injectors checked all the wires it was just to unlock the trunk thanks for the video
thanks for this video, just bought a 1997 5,2 here in sweden in a very good condition! i have no problems with it yet but i know what to do when i get there....
It won‘t work for you. European ZJs have an additional immobilizer programmed to the engine computer. You can‘t bypass it the way they do it with american models. I have tried it all.
There should be a C shaped spring clip on the inside of the door. Remove that and it should come out. Some have a plastic retainer with 2 screws above the door latch actuator, remove the screws to remove the plastic retainer and possibly a pin/clip might hold the plastic to the key cylinder, disengage it and it should come out.
Hey Buddy,, I'm watching your vid abt the jeep grand Cherokee to reprogram so you can start and Run without dying after starting it.. WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST TO DO IF THE LIGHTS AREN'T BLINKING OR THE HORN RELY ISN'T CLICKING.. DO I NEED TO HAVE THE KEY FOB THING?
I have some other videos that might help; 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee alarm bypass (indepth look) 1998 grand Cherokee electrical the #1 bad part 1 to part 10
There is no programming, by deactivating or unplugging what I am calling the key lock cylinder indicator no fault can be realized to activate the alarm. By doing this there will be no active alarm. I chose to deactivate the alarm because it is annoying problem rather than a useful feature for me.
In Canada, we pay per liter, which averages exactly the same at 6.4 US dollars. The price keeps changing up and down all the time from $1.00 to $1.33 a liter at 4.5 litres to make a gallon. If your interested in the notification bell, I will have some more Jeep videos coming.

I hoped this would also work with a 1997 Cherokee, but it didn't. Too bad they changed the system for eacht model.
