Diffusers are a bit of an enigma. It's exactly as you said, diffusers increase pressure. The pressure is being increased back to atmospheric, but not quite. What this does is create a favorable pressure gradient, as the airflow at the front of the car is higher pressure than at the rear, so the airflow accelerates towards the rear, accelerating as it's constricted. As it expands it slows down increasing in pressure, but it never quite reaches ambient, it's always slightly below ambient at best because of the low pressure wake at the rear of the car. Another way to think of a diffuser is like a bellows, or a piston in a combustion engine. As the piston descends from top dead center it forms a void, and air rushes in through the intake system to fill that void. A diffuser is like the intake stroke, but at a constant rate, as long as the car is moving forward. The diffuser is like a constant syringe drawing air from the front splitter, the bigger the volume(within reason) the greater the suck.
I love my ND rear diffuser kit plus rear panels and side skirt, just wish you guys could consider the tech for the 3rd gen and 4th gen Mazda3. Generally an underrepresented modding community and whether or not it truly "needs" it of course is funny but many of us always grip about no options being available as the only options are the bumper aesthetic throw on. Anywho loved the vid!
Thank you for the kind words. Unfortunately, we do not have any plans for Mazda3 development. However, I believe our ND Miata engine bay caps might work for you. We also offer universal hood louvers, so I'm sure we have a set that could work with your build.
@VerusEngineering I had a feeling you guys would say that, which is completely understandable. I'd drive my Mazda3 to you guys for scanning but I know it's way more involved than that and time is precious to what you all do lol. You guys make fantastic products either ways 🙃
Because I can’t afford a Ferrari Pista so I got a Verus diffuser instead lol. I have your non aggressive diffuser and suspension covers on my VA STI. I love how clean it looks vs the aeroflow dynamics and other crazy ones.
You have a VA STI, correct? If so, we have had a good amount of owners get it to work with the Tomei catback. It just requires a small amount of trimming, but it has been done multiple times in the past.

We love a greater suck!
Always!
Y'all killing it with the informative and educational content lately! Love to see it 👏👏
Thank you for the kind words. Happy to see there is interest in this type of content.

Thanks Jamie! We certainly appreciate the support.

Looking into it.
i already know the answer but i’m just watching because it’s a Verus video 🙏🏽
🙌
Any chance F80 m3 products coming??
Currently, no plans. We will keep it in mind though.
The M3/M4/M2 community want your aero! Alot of us are patently for the release.
M2 stuff has been released for a minute now, but we are working as quickly as we can on the M3/M4 stuff.
Because I can’t afford a Ferrari Pista so I got a Verus diffuser instead lol.

Same, same, right?! HAHA Glad you like the setup.
I need those rear spats ASAP
Get on it man!
Wish there was a swan neck wing for the VA
If there is enough interest, we can always look into it later on down the road.
What's your thought on 992 GT3 diffuser and underbody as a whole? I feel like Porsche did a great job of it.
We agree. Porshe did a great job with the underbody.
I don’t see any corn. Is that not Indiana?
We're in Indiana but corn isn't EVERYWHERE! Jeez!
I wish there were real diffusers available for the NC Miata. I'm not good at fabrication.
Just a bit too old of a platform for us to look into.
@@VerusEngineering 💀
Had to sell mine because it didn't fit my tomei 😢
