    I was 11 in 1971 when I was diagnosed with psoriasis. We knew nothing about autoimmune. I always had digestive problems and I sensed they my later autoimmune problems were gut related. I’ve dealt with gut issues my whole life. Thank you for this interesting and informative discussion.

    Not all probiotics and fermented foods are equally good for all women. Especially for perimenopausal women because of estrogen and histamine connection. It affects our gut, skin, nervous system, heart etc.

    Such an informative video. I started this supplement recently and will now add it to my husband's daily supplements. While I did my own research before purchasing, your clear-cut explanations are better than what I found online. Thank you!

    My Akkermansia levels were not even detectable on a GI Map, although I’m not overweight at all. I’ve been taking Pendulum Akkermansia for several months now and if nothing else, it has helped with my constipation. Hopefully a followup test will show an increase of those in my gut.

      I had the same results and have been on that for 2 weeks now and feel no difference. I’m also taking Mega Pre, I have horrible constipation and was hoping to see a difference by now, but maybe I need more time to notice.

      Try taking daily cranberry extract or if there is such a thing of pomegranate extract basically those are actor mancilla Foods and keep akkermansia happier more likely to produce more of the species, Ackerman she's getting to be known as a keystone species of the microbiome of the gut

    So very interesting. Would you mind sharing the specific Probiotic you are referring to from Thorne? I have spent so much time and money trying to figure out the best “ bang for your buck” with probiotics. Very exciting news about Akkermansia. What is the test you referred to in this segment to do at home for gut health ? Science is amazing. Thank you for sharing.

      @@drsusanwhat would you recommend? The Akkermansia OR the GLP-1 ? It looks like the GLP-1 has akkermansia in it along with two other ingredients. Would that be better to take then just the akkermansia? It is pretty costly to order both.

    What foods contain Akkermansia muciniphila?
    How Can I Boost Akkermansia Levels in My Gut?
    Unfortunately, there are no foods that contain Akkermansia, so you can't eat Akkermansia. However, to encourage the growth of Akkermansia, you can eat foods rich in polyphenols, including apples, beans, berries, grapes, flaxseed, green tea, nuts, olives, asparagus, onions, oats, etc.

      Pasteurized Akkermansia muciniphila (PAm) has been shown to be more effective than live Akkermansia muciniphila (Am) in several studies:

    • @vapeking466
      @vapeking466 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      PAm is a bacterium that's normally found in gut microbiota, but it's less common in people who are obese. It's pasteurized using mild heat treatment to less than 100ºC, and is used in the form of cell-wall components and membrane proteins.
