    Excellent video… Ive been looking for dual fuel propane/gasoline generator… but I wanted it to be a Generac… and stumbled upon the Powermate PM7500DF which seems to check that box
    I would love to set up like you did with whole house switch too.. awesome thanks great job with the video and informational photos/slides

      You're welcome. Good luck on your installation. I used the PowerMate for three straight days after losing power during Hurricane Nicole and never had a problem. Then I ran all the gas out of it and changed the oil before putting it away.

    Great video! I just ordered one and wanted to know how is yours holding up so far? Any issues? Would you consider it to be a pretty reliable generator? Thanks!

      Thanks, I'm glad you liked the video. I've only had to use the generator a few times but it's been gold so far. It starts right up and provides good, clean power. We are in hurricane season right now so I've got it primed and ready for when the power goes down.

      10W 30 below 40' F, SAE 30 above freezing. Synthetic 5W-30 for all temperatures.

    Can you have gas in the generator and use the propane?

      I would have to say yes. There are valves that you must operate that isolate the generator's fuel source. You can only select one source or the other. If your goal is to keep both fuel sources connected, keep in mind that gasoline has the potential to evaporate and degrade over time.
