    In case anyone is wondering the appropriate torquing specs are 7.2 lb/ft or 10 Nm

      For sure if you feel better using the torque wrench then you should be doing just that. Thanks for sharing. - Van

    Hi Brian ,
    your explanation is very precise , clear , highly informative. the products / mods in your videos are awesome. unfortunatly for upper middle class indian , a lot of the items are out of the budget. Many of the items are not available in India. it is pleasure to see u,.Daily. thank you. .

    Would doing the 1st piece on the kickstand instead of rearstand help with coolant loss?

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am not sure that would really matter as you are still fighting gravity in the end. The coolant loss was really not a big issues on this install, less than I expected it would be. - Van

      You will need to add a little and make sure the air is out of the system after your install. - Van

      Sportbike Track Gear my bike was completely cold with no pressure in the system and radiator cap on. When I took that third bolt out the coolant just dumped on the ground like a waterfall. Pretty much all the coolant came out. I don’t understand why they felt it was necessary to have the third lower bolt holding that little cover. If they designed it to just have the 2 side bolts holding it on it wouldn’t have made a mess and I doubt it would really matter in a crash

      @@hellfire08 at least you get to practice coolant flushing on your own now, think of these things as a silver lining/blessing in disguise.

  • @dj_dvd3578
    @dj_dvd3578 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sorry, I wanted to ask you one more thing. Does the bike have to be cold before doing this job? because to do this job I would have to move it from area A to area B, more than others for the water cover. Thank you

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  ปีที่แล้ว

      All you have to do is let it cool down to a temp it will be comfortable to work on and you will be good to go. For the water pump cover you could also remove the radiator cap to relieve pressure in the cooling system. - Van

    • @dj_dvd3578
      @dj_dvd3578 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sportbiketrackgear ah ok so if you open the radiator cap it doesn't release the pressure, but I remove the radiator cap first right? so after I remove the water screws.

    What if you do experience fluid loss on the engine side? I just replaced mine on my R7 and oil started to drip once I got it all installed it stopped there is currently no dripping after install but just concerned I also topped off the oil just in case. Please let me know if I have damaged anything

    • @sportbiketrackgear
      @sportbiketrackgear  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If there is no longer any oil leaking odds are you are good to go. Installing these should not damage the gaskets at all because you are only removing a few of the case cover bolts and not removing the cover. Like I say in the video you need to run the bike after the install to check for leaks before you ride the bike. - Van

      @@sportbiketrackgear How long do you suggest idling the bike for? Or take for a quick spin around the block? I just did all but the water pump cover - as its hidden anyway by the fairing.
