Keep in mind the first episode literally had no gore in it until this scene. The reactors LITERALLY weren't ready for this.
Well there were a few splatters of blood here and there. Not to mention one of the Mauler Twins had his eye poked out I believe. Though compared to this last scene, that was just child’s play

My favorite thing about it is that all of the Guardians very deliberately resembled superheroes we all knew already so we had some level of attachment and when this happened it just made it that much more powerful.
There is more "oh my god" and "Jesus Christ" in the reaction of this episode than there are in my church on Sunday service 😂

Red Rush and Dark Wing had the most brutal deaths. The rest were somewhat quick and painless.
Especially bad for Rush if he has the same sense of time and reactions as the Flash, cause that slowdown was probably what it felt like for the poor guy. And yeah, Green Ghost and Aquarius had it easy considering.
I also think Immortal had a painful death.
darkwing died immediately. Red rush felt each single strand of pain when he was being crushed.

The fact that Omni-Man took so much damage means the Guardians of the Globe were no joke. He did plan to take them out quick and clean, but ended up collapsing at the end which is actually pretty impressive.

He'd already taken out the only two who could've run away by then, though; without Red Rush and Green Ghost, none of the rest could've escaped without him chasing them down.

If Flash stuck to a support/saving role instead of going on the offense AND if the Guardians knew it was "like that" from the jump, I think they could have won. Omni went for the rogue opener because he at the very least felt like there was a chance he would lose the head to head 1v 8 if he had made it clear it was a deathmatch from the start. Guardians for sure could still lose though.
At this scene I thought it was a training session for the guardians but the moment red rush lost his eye things went dark.
I just realized him killing the fishman is the reason mark had to travel to atlantis
