Probably Red Rush for me. That dude's existence is rough though. Imagine having to go through life listening to everyone on 0.00000000025 speed. That also means his death was probably the worst. It might have only been a few seconds for us but for him with his perception of time, he might have been getting tortured for hours.

Red Rush's death always kills me...they just set up that he experiences everything faster so everything is drawn out....that split second head crush lasted hours for him....R.I.P.
Well technically, for him it lasted as long as we saw it, since the whole "slowed down" thing was from his perspective. But yeah, I know what you mean.
This has been discussed and corrected by the community before, but perhaps you haven't read about it yet. Red Rush's death scene is already shown from his perspective. Nolan crushed his head in 1 second, but for Red Rush it lasted 1-2 minutes because of the way he experiences things.
@@itachi2816 It's also why Red Rush managed to damage Omni-man to that extent when normally a punch from him wouldn't have done anything; he literally punched the same spot hundreds, if not thousands of times within that one second of time before his head was crushed
It's his hands shattering and twisting as he desperately punches him over and over in the chest that does it for me. Jesus.
I lost brain cells reading this
This episode is a masterclass of how to set up a twist. The entire episode goes by without anyone dying, without even much more than a drop of blood really. Then you get some unsettling vibes from Omniman but you can't really tell what's going on and then that end scene comes out of nowhere.
Have yet to see anyone who wasn't speechless and instantly hooked after this episode.
It was done sooo purposely even the animation was designed that way to give us the nostalgia of the 90’s animated shows. Then bam. Shock us with the violence. Season 2 the animation has really ramped up.
I was speecheless and kinda disgusted so I stopped watching so eh, not all hooked
@@cranederoc same. Not a fan of such gross violence but that was a great twist. Certainly a good way to establish that type of show.
Not only that, for people like me who read the comics, we knew this was coming. However, when I didn''t see any blood throughout the show, I was red herringed into thinking they made it PG13, and was kinda dissapointed. Then the twist came, which surprised me for good even when I already knew the story. It's so well done for new people as for people who came from the comics. Props to them.
Not only that, but it's a twist to have the twist at the start. No "I think Omni-Man might be a bad guy," you already know he's a bad guy, but you're just wondering how long he can keep up the disguise.
I love how so much of the first episode is nearly bloodless and kid friendly. Then the last scene is just the total opposite
When I first watched this, midway through I was thinking my kids might be old enough to watch it. By the end I wasn't sure _I_ was old enough!

AWWWW SHEEIT. This is gonna be a fun series to watch with both Maple and Arianna.
The voice actors in this are unbelievable they bring it to life. All star cast for real. Even the security guard at the beginning that’s Jon Hamm.
And here I was wondering half the episode if this was a fan dub because it felt so bad in many instances
@@Kinta02right? I thought the security guard conversation wasn’t that great. Typical cartoon dialogue and voice work. The animation also seems to struggle to follow the actors’ intonations at times, too. What I’m learning is that a lot of this is subjective 😂.

You guys don't miss. When I finished Succession and saw no other reactors watching it, I almost felt kinda sad, then you guys graced me with the heat. Same with Barry, like NO ONE is reacting to it and it's another HBO banger. And now this? You guys should really add Arcane to your list, it's the best animated series I have ever seen, and I know you would dig it.

This is such a great way to start a series. It begins as a pretty standard superhero origin story with some more realistic physics, and then the ending flips it all on its head and really gets you hooked
The thing I love about Invincible is how it really sets the stakes in a fight and shows just how dangerous a world with super heroes would really be. Buckle up
I really like these kinds of shows where they take the classic "group of superheroes trope" and turn it on its head a bit. This show and The Boys do a good job with that.

19:44 Superman also has heat and x-ray-vision + frost and wind-breath + super hearing. Homelander from "The Boys" has more similar powers to Superman than Omni-Man does.
He’s not wrong about hitting him as hard as he did. The people he faces won’t go easy on him and he has to be able to take it and with the powers he has he definitely can. So his father just pushing him off the deep end makes sense
And once red rush died, the guardians lost that fight. None of the others could keep up with him and it showed.
Everything about Invincible's first episode is frankly brilliant, but the ending scene really seals the deal.
The shift from "Oh, this is a superhero romp comp with typical superhero growing pains" is basically doused in a splash of cold hard reality about what having superheroes is really like. Red Rush's Death in particular. It might not be something you think about in other superhero shows, but technically, sort of...yeah, if you were that strong and durable, that scene could be fully replicated in real life.
Then the music cuts out. And when Omni-Man gets a chance to explain himself at the end, he just...doesn't. Doesn't say a damn word.
It is, by far, my favorite ending to a first episode. It's not The Boys, not all the supes are just coldhearted, but it just...explores very basic, real consequences of superpowers in a world that functions like ours. It wouldn't be all bad, but there would be a lot of bad that comes with it.

that end sequence, Red Rush was MVP, he managed to prevent so many lethal blows. If he had remained on defense, The Guardians likely would have won.

I have been reading Invincible since like 2012, it is absolutely one of my favourite comic book series of the last 20 years. The show is brilliant so far, the same people who wrote the comic work on the show and it's a chance for Robert Kirkman to reimagine his story, now that he is a better storyteller.
Expect the unexpected with this show.
So now you both get to spend the rest of this season watching Omni Man become more and more terrifying with each episode. Because he will be the scariest thing in the series
There are more scary things than Omni man, Frederick Mercury for example.

@@edgarcardenas1777 Honestly It's got some cheese/silliness to it but it also had a good charm with some great action scenes. Plus the voice acting is really well done in my opinion. Hell Superman is played by Jack Quaid aka Hughie from The Boys. Watch at least the first episode and see for yourself. It's only like twenty minutes. Plus everyone loves short haired Miss Lane.

One of the cool things about all these different animated shows is the fact that the voice actors play so many of them. Like how J.K. Simmons plays both Omniman and Tenzen. And how Mark Hammal plays both the Tailor and The Fire Lord.

Imagine being able to perceive time the way that Red Rush does, such that the briefest conversation feels like hours… Now imagine how long it must’ve felt for his own head to cave in between Omni-man’s hands, all struggling in vain to escape and maintaining eye contact with him until his eyes burst out of his sockets…

I read the comic. I knew what was going to happen. The end of this episode still churned my stomach and made my jaw drop.
