What I find amazing about Saitama isn’t his strength it’s his ability to control his strength. He goes from punching an entire couple of mountains with air pressure to lightly tapping genos’ face. Like the level of control for such a vast amount of power is incredible.

It would make him literal percentages of percentages stronger, and unless he was just hovering on the spot people probably wouldn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

I honestly dont think he stopped short. It was his full attack but if you see when its zoomed out, the start of the punch is way further back and they are sort of in the middle of the smoke cone.
So either the animators made a mistake, which i highly highly doubt, or Saitama punches, but also moves in front of the punch immediately afterwards and takes all the damage so Genos receives no damage.
no matter how much I replay it. my reaction is still the same! we got Madara leveling mountains, but he needs to have mangekyou first, Luffy blasting a tree, Naruto have to concentrate for sage mode first, but Saitama. he can do it casually lol. the level of intelligence to prolong and making an anime exciting with a protagonist on an already strong protagonist is not your normal op anime, usually it has to be isekai but this is. this is next level shit.
That is why in the entirety of anime, Goku is prolly the ONLY one that can keep up with him for a time. But then again, putting Goku vs Saitama is useless cuz their universes are contradictory.

Someone said that Saitama is far away from Genos when he did the punch, and ran straight in front of his punch to avoid Genos to be flown away by it. Cause if you noticed the mist that his punch created, it cam from the back. I know you'll say "Yeah, it's because he pulled the punch from the back" i know, but the starting point of the mist is far away from where he is currently. So that's what they said as i can remember.
