Ok, the source material is not better quality, visually. That's just objectively not true. The webcomic sucks ass in terms of visual quality. It's a great story, but the drawings are shit. They are getting a lot better though. ONE is probably never going to be a great artist, but he is improving a lot.
Goku is in fact one of the strongest characters in anime and one of the toughest to beat, with some of if not the most incredible feats ever seen in most anime. ...even then, he effortlessly loses to Saitama, as his whole concept is of "physically, it's impossible to beat him", him also having "unlimited strength", not just only his unbreakable resistance. it's a disrespect towards the series to call it "satirical" when considering the amount of insight and fantastic writing it has; not to mention an insult to the character of Saitama by itself, given the amount of development and good indepth he was given throughout the series. neither One Punch man nor Saitama are "jokes/satirical", it's just that the concept Saitama has is straight up "in a battle of strength, he's unbeatable". which is why, "no matter how strong the opponent, they can't physically beat Saitama". Goku wouldn't even stand a chance, despite having obvious greater demonstrations of strength than Saitama himself. if you know well of both characters, the answer should be obvious... it's really not something to discuss about. "can [ x ] beat Saitama in a fight?" if it's not involving his soul or manipulating his existence/life itself (like I'm aware that a few characters can do), and is only s fight involving body vs body, then Saitama will always win, he's "unbeatable".
