I've gotten dozens of these rewind onslaught, repulsor brace onslaught Subsistence onslaught they all slap. Repulsor brace onslaught on a gyrfalcons hunter is just nasty

For real I've gotten a million other world drop weapons but the one i want (ros aragos) i have only goteen a few with terrible rolls
What's your secret? I've only gotten 4 of these all season and none with onslaught.
It wouldn't matter if your gun wasn't getting the surge buffs since because it's the overload for this season and you have that active it gets the 25% from being overcharged.
I know you said you weren’t using a Void Surge for the gun as a modifier, but it’s still worth highlighting that the artifact weapon perks tend to overcharge the weapons as well.
Repulsor brace onslaught with gyrfalcon's goes so hard. It's been glued to my hunter ever since I very luckily got it at the beginning of the season
This gun is a legendary exotic, pair it with something like Gyrfalcons and it really pops off with onslaught
Warlock works great with Onslaught/Repulsor basically any way you want to use it; NezSin, Nothing Manacles, Contraverse...

man didnt mention the pairing of rewind/deconstruct for never having to reload the gun, granted onslaught is still amazing
Its a ton of fun but its a pairing I want to see more on Special or Heavy weapons. Having more rounds is great and all but it does nothing for DPS, only total damage in a single reload.

It does change dps BECAUSE there's less reloads.
It changes the 2 mag dps, or average dps figure. Though it's not truly relevant to primary dps. (Since you should be killing things within one mag, if you aren't killing things in 1 mag, stop shooting the yellow bar with a primary)
I have a repulsor brace/onslaught Ros Arago that is the main weapon for my Briarbinds Warlock build. Between the overshield and devour being constantly up, it is near-impossible to die when the whole kit is cooking.
Use the same exact build. Honestly feels like an exotic weapon. Also got a repulser brace/wellspring harsh language wave frame for this build. Use it with strand sidearm that has unravel rounds. Pop your rift, unravel first target with strand while sending out void soul. Swap to wave frame and destroy. Gets constant abilities back while clearing rooms with ease.

I guess the little Telesto orbs weren't noticeable enough to even mention.
If you pair it with doom fangs you get passive void surge as you kill. Its been a sleeper build I use for some endgame content. Onslaught +surge!
Sadly, I spent all of my luck on a slideshot/surrounded Crux Termination.

I have one of those too. Not sure I would delete my adept hotheads for it, but it definitely slaps.
You have the same roll that I have minus the barrel, which I got Hammer-Forged Rifling. I used it at one point in The Coil on a Void Devour Warlock with Verity's Brow and Echo of Instability for Volatile Rounds. It was a massacre and I loved every moment of it.
I did the maths on this a while ago, Onslaught is a 37% reduction in your time between shots, meaning the rate of fire is 60% faster as a result. This is effectively a 60% damage increase, with the downside of your mag disappearing overnight. On top of the fire rate buff, Onslaught also provides an invisible reload speed buff of 15/25/35 reload based on your current stacks, that's the same reload stat boost as Stats For All (minus the animation duration multiplier). So yeah Onslaught is pretty nuts.
One of these with Repulsor/Onslaught replaced the Funnelweb and Title that I used with my Gyrfalcons build, its tons of fun
i use permeability with my stand warlock threading build as it’s all i have atm. It feels great
Speaking of "weird guns that can get old Pinnacle perks and are probably better than you're giving it credit for" Appetance, the Stasis Trace Rifle from the Season of the Wish, can be crafted to have enchanced Overflow / Enhanced Killing Tally. The last time we saw Overflow / Killing Tally *at all* was 21% Delirium, and the enhanced perk just makes it even better. This trace rifle can just chew things up and the only problem is I can't seem to feed it enough special ammo not to use all of it xD
I got a repulsor brace/onslaught roll, literally right as soon as i finally got the Briarbinds from rivens wishes. It was like my reward for tolerating the f2p life.
This thing is beautiful. Between the void children eating and weakening everything, the orb generation, the constant overshield. Its a delightful build
Jacarina (Great Shader) looks slick on Ros Arago IV.
My second random drop of this season was a Permeability/Onslaught Ros Arago IV and I've been using it on Strand Hunter with Threaded Specter and Whirling Maelstrom, building into the artifact perks so I can send hordes upon hordes of threadlings and unraveling projectiles while remaining mostly safe, it's pretty fun and surprisingly effective!
I got my Repulsor Brace/Onslaught roll a few weeks ago and have been loving it on my Gyrfalcon Void Hunter build.

Had this sitting in my ault without releasing I have onslaught and subsistence as perks. I'll be using it or at least holding on my hunter as it's a void also that could come in handy now and again. Thanks for the info as always
Ros Arago was on my radar from as soon as it was in the API. I have an awesome Gyrfalcon build, and with Repulsar Brace + Onslaught, I knew I wanted it. My ideal roll (doubt I will get it lol is Arrowhead + Tactical Mag with Reload Masterwork so that I can reduce downtime while Onslaught is active while also making it just feel incredible)

I got my favorite rewind rounds-onslaught roll early in the season before all of the videos about it and I loved it from the beginning, even just starting out with it in a battlegrounds. My first thought was that it feels like something out of borderlands, just a really fun, silly gun.
I’ve got a breakneck with shoot to loot and kinetic tremors. It’s great for stunning overload champs.
I just got my second ros arago drop ever and it happened to be a rewind rounds and onslaught. Simply beautiful.

On Marcato ive been loving slice and golden tricorn with abeyant leaps, still allows me to use quicksilver as well
Repulser brace is waisted on gyrfalcons. Contraverse hold and echo of instability is the best use of the perk

I agree with your point that it’s really nice to have something other than an smg that feels good to use in pvp and works with builds.
Onslaught Subsistence is amazing. Use backup mag for a few extra bullets to help keep bullets in the mag to keep subsistence going. It’s like Suros and SGA had a baby.
I actually love my Permeability Onslaught, can run full Strand or Stasis with just a simple class ability.

One of if not the first Ros arago I got was Repulsor brace + Onslaught. Day 1 or 2 of season of wish. That baby went to my Gyrfalcon hunter and stayed there
I have picked up an onslaught + subsistence and an onslaught + rewind rounds. I personally prefer the subsistence one, especially with gyrfalcons.
marcato with demon and hatchling is so fun, I got that roll like two weeks ago and I've enjoining it a lot on my warlock ever since.

This vid mentioned Datto's exotic pillness, and in his recent GM vid he mentioned avoiding legendary ARs, PRs and Scouts. With this in mind, I wanted to offer counter point, that ARs and PRs this season still perform well in gms, when you build into it mind you. Additionally I'll only be listing ARs, but the same build philosophy applies to PRs
With the nerfing of ability mods, the surges became more desirable.

These are either a mid or fun farm, depending if you enjoy GMs alot. Otherwise it has a okay trait, but does good enough damage to make up for it.
Closing Notes, I didn't factor minor spec in, but that is an option. Additonally, all my numbers are from D2foundry, and the champ numbers were simple x*1.25. Same thing can be applied to Pulses this season, and Scouts whenever they come back in. These are fine enough numbers to function as good weps along with champ stuns. Plus all 3 free up your Exotic slot.
Ros and Levi are definitely a choice, since both are void, and Levi is a fantastic dps tool and champ tool.
I use a Permeability/Tricorn one with my Strand and Precious Scars build. Works great.
You're off the mark about PVP. This baby COOKS in Crucible, it's got some better control than Quicksilver but a very high DPS, and opens up your exotic options. Find it handles beautifully and have been ripping up the Crucible with it, but it depends on your perks.
I have a really dumb roll which is Rewind Rounds+Deconstruct and, I know that Deconstruct is a meme but it's so great how I can just shoot the fuck out of a boss and rarely have to reload. Like I can dump a fuck ton of bullets into a boss and never or rarely reload. It's not efficient DPS by any memes but it's just so fun. Highly recommend if you want to dump a ton of bullets onto a boss.
Add back up mag or hell even Actium to never have to reload.
Returning player, I was trying to level from 1600 to 1750 and RNGesus graciously granted me a Ros Arago IV, makes you think of a NATO 5.56 rifle with "magic wormhole endless clip" and over-drive receiver like someone stuck flame stickers on it to make it go faster--OMGosh it puts a smile on my face :)

I can't decided whether to mod it to "Backup Mag" or "Major/Minor Spec", but I imagine in end-game content where even trash/ads are pretty crunchy (and like you say, 20 levels above you)--minor spec as you have done it is the right thing to do :)
Now I just feel like I am doing something terribly wrong when it's stash instead of being on me. For me it's that in-case-sh*t LMG with smaller rounds--like a baby gatling ^__^--when I just haven't got any heavy ammo drop in a while..

Attrition Orbs is actually a good option on this with Gyrfalcon's. Use the perk that makes Volatile on Orb pickup, make 1 Orb and immediately wipe the board.
I got one with repulsor brace//onslaught…it is glued to my warlock briarbind build and I mean GLUED
My repulsor brace/onslaught roll is one of my favorite legendary weapons I’ve got in like a year or so. It almost feels exotic.

Yep, I got a Rewind Rounds/Onslaught roll that I cherish. The mag and barrel perks are a little weak but I dont care. Im just lucky to have got that combo because the pairing is beastly.

I kept a Repulser Brace roll for my Titan, but honestly it's seen more use on my Briarbinds Warlock build. The child debuffs the targets, the rifle cleans them up and gives you Overshield - not sure I've ever had so much fun on Voidlock before

Marcato is pretty neat cause it can roll woth triple tap in addition to onslaught. I'm not reallt good at judging these things, but it puts in my mind an image of getting a few kills to ramp up, then absolutely unloading into a boss's weak point.
Ros Arago with Onslaught makes me excited for The Summoner coming back because that would be some tasty synergy with solar subclasses without having to waste a perk on permeability. Super unlikely because we haven't seen it roll in the first column but getting incandescent with onslaught would be so dirty.

Got lucky my first few drops with Ros had Onslaught/Rewind, with one getting Subsistence so lots of uptime on my Titan.

Got myself a repulsor onslaught roll to pair with gyrfalcon in legend content and a subsistence onslaught roll for lower tier content. Would definitely take repulsor onslaught into GMs if I was rocking a volatile build for ad clearing in a battlegrounds. Also if polaris lance wasn’t busted
I was lucky enough to get Repulsor+Rampage and I dont want to take it off is so cool to get that cycle of getting a kill with you nade/ you get distabilizing rounds/ get a kill out slaw kicks in/you get an overshield, rinse and repeat.
A good roll with onslaught of this weapon is rarer than most exotics
I'm chasing one to use with volatile void titan and the ONLY drop i got with this perk came with permeability, now I have a weapon with one perk, great

2:25 Void surge wouldn't have mattered here. Any weapon benefitting from an artifact champion mod is overcharged in the relevant content. You would get the same damage buff with or without void surge.
with the summoner returning in the mid season update I'm hoping that it will also have onslaught and IF it does I will go paly trials again since last year
I actually have this with subsistence onslaught roll. In fact, every drop I got had onslaught on it (out of the 5-6 I got to drop lol).
For Solar builds there's a chance we're getting a solid upgrade with the midseason patch - Summoner is coming back with Wild Card, so if they give it Onslaught it will be basically just the Solar version with Adept mod options!
Even without Onslaught the Wildcard trait is going to he great on it
You can get permeability on ros arago on top of onslaught, making it work for any subclass. Though onslaught and incandescent would be something else on summoner.

The best I've got is permeability and golden tricorn. Kind of interesting since golden tricorn is a pretty high buff and permeability lets you use that on any subclass.
Also have a deconstruct and rewind rounds roll. Interesting novelty gun since you can fire for like 2 Minutes without reloading.
We really need to buff legendary primaries as a whole though. I want to like scout rifles, but they feel so terrible.

Over the weekend, I did a bunch of terminal overload. I got 3 ros aragos. All 3 of them had permeability and golden tricorn. The only roll I have had drop so far since the start of the season. I am beyond livid.
Really want to try a paermeability-onslaught roll with mask of Bakris. Paired with a decent arc/stasis heavy, could be THE mediocre add clear+damage

The LMG with onslaught is dope. Often times you can quickly take out 3 redbars with tap fire and do a shit load of damate to a champion or whatever

after months of only pvp you’ve convinced me to grind for this weapon for entirely no reason at all 🤣
Don’t know if others have recommended it, but Tyranny of Heaven feels great this season. Bows only need 2 precision shots to activate Radiant from the artifact, and unlike the nightfall bow, you can craft it without Dragonfly + Incandescent, which is great in GMs. Also because of the new Wish quests, it’s easier to get red borders

WHAT. I LITERALLY tried the gun this morning with briarbinds just to have a void auto rifle and was like holy shit, this thing cooks. Had it in my vault for awhile now and just never got rid of it

You can run the permability option with icefall mantle to give it the extra 25% damage boost that on stasis.
