The T1 was a great design as it was a tactically logical one. Bipedal machines were difficult to construct. Wheels get stuck in the mud. Treads make it very capable over rough terrain. The 360 degree spinning torso is perfect as it takes a lot of time to turn a tank around. The compact main stance helps it get in tighter places and a narrower center of gravity to make it more stable. The head needed to be big for the hardware and allowing it to move a bit to improve its range of vision, so it wouldn't be so firmly attached to its torso and limiting its range of vision. The double 50 cal gatling guns were the perfect armament as they were capable of mowing down practically anything. Overall it's a cool looking machine and feasible to construct with modern technology, or at least within another 10 years, plus or minus the AI. A remotely piloted drone would still be useful.
I think T-3 is a great movie. As for Salvation I recommend watching the full/director's cut. They built on what had already been established. One thing that was cool was Skynet started out as software and then later on became a super computer in the future. If Paramount really wanted to do a Terminator trilogy they should have done 3 movies in the future. That would have been uncharted territory where they could have fleshed out the War against Skynet and the Machines more.
Yep. I’m a fan of Salvation and now look forward to the Director’s cut but I’ve always liked the middleman of the war just beginning and the humans being on the backpedal despite what’s left of their power and weapons. John Connor was shocked, and with time travel and his mother’s tapes that would be very difficult to do. Not to mention Skynet shows some progress in this movie (Genysis too) as instead of the definition of insanity Skynet adjusts its tactics to try to lure John Connor in with his father through Marcus. Yeah they could kill Kyle Reese but this still shows the single-mindedness of Skynet trying to directly kill Connor instead of changing his destiny. Love this movie, had potential for a Trilogy

Yes i do so strongly agree! I feel after t salvation that a future war movie should have been made and the last one. It should have looked and felt like the future scenes you see in t1 & t2. They have really ran this franchise into the ground. It feels like the same old story retold over and over after t2. I too would absolutely love to see future war and end this movie franchise. I have to admit i did like t genesis but you can go only so far before you lose your audiance. I always really liked the T 1. It looks like something the US military could actually be using right now. It would not surprise me at all if these things were being built by DARPA and fielded in the near future. We already have things that resemble them now on a smaller scale.
We probably have stuff way more advanced. The problem is, you want soldiers you can depend on to think independently, and to not cause civilian casualties. If you wanted to just have something defensive, or something that invades a nation and wipes it out, these would do, but war isn't that simple. You also wouldn't want the enemy to find a weakness and get their hands on them and send them right back at you. That's a problem with drones right now. Whole drone swarms could be sent at countries to attack. But what if the enemy is prepared and can press a button and gain control of them? Living breathing people operating machinery is far more reliable, your military isn't going to suddenly turn on you with its assets. This is one reason why human soldiers haven't been replaced.
I like the video as I am big terminator fan, have to say that after T3 and Terminator Salvation I had expected T5 to be more like John Connor, his Wife and Son are taking out a core central processing Camp that was inventing the T-1000. But instead of having a wash, rinse, repeat cycle, the T-1000 could have been something more advanced than that to show that time was moving much more quickly than expected. T-800 in the original timeline had plasma and laser rifles where as in Terminator Salvation they were still wielding the normal 21st century guns and bullets military grade. They could have shown a bit more how the liquid metal alloy was programmable by skynet and how the process started. Then Skynet goes records show we failed before lets start making the T-1005 or something because well you know....TIME TRAVEL! Instead out of all that we get Terminator Gynesis which lets face it was a disappointment.
I'm surprised the twin gatling gun design was introduced and kept. One would think a single gatling would give enough of a rate of fire, and the second mounting could be used for something explosive or armor piercing. Maybe a machine could aim at two targets at once, but with all of its sensors on a "head" looking forward, the targets need to be close together indeed.
I actually enjoyed T3 more than any other movie... machine wise. Especially the games. T3 Redemption is my absolute favorite. The different machines they has. These best I hope it's brought up eventually from the games, was The Scorpian!
The 6 wheeled one is interesting it might be quick enough to have some sort of Car chase scene with and yet it's simple enough to actually build it as a gigantic RC car.
The following Terminators are my favorites and have the correct nicknames according to the lore: T-1 T-600 Marcus (T-800 Prototype) T-800 T-1000 T-X (T-2000) T-3000 Rev-7 (T-4000 Prototype) Rev-9 (T-4000) Skynet (T-5000)
Hated the fact those were easy to take down in the game terminator salvation but the t-600 was absolute hell EDIT: Im talking about the terminator salvation game on ps3 but this is the wrong terminator I just found that out lmao
I've covered a lot, the ones I haven't is mainly because it would just be me speculating as not much info on them. Cthulhu and Lovecraft by design is intentionally vague to retain the cosmic horror vibe, so it becomes difficult to talk about some bits and pieces. It's something I'd like to return to though
I never understood why they had all these fully armed robots just lined up under plastic. Were they testing them? If so, why have all of them armed instead of just the units under test?
Does anyone else notice the similarity to the robots of the short circuit movies? That's what I've always compared them too anyway. They same basic design elements are there.
I have a request to make, is there any chance you could use your old background music when you do lore videos? The one that you use atm sounds so gleeful.
I know they are not as advanced as other models and they do have design flaws but having the T-1’s really make wonder how the Resistance even won against Skynet in the first place. I mean these things are massive and could cause huge amounts of destruction and I feel like they are really wasting their time making infiltration units that could be almost easily destroyed. I know it’s due to plot reasons but it would be interesting if they gave us an alternate world where the Resistance failed to protect John Conner from such force.
T3 is underrated it’s way better than all the woke SJW post 2015 blockbusters combined. I love the T1 design it gives the feel of evolution towards the T-600 and T-800 series it is also reminiscent of the Terminator(1984) HK tanks we see in the Future Battle scenes...
These early models all have quite a bit of flaws. Like the mini HK aerial that ends up chasing the heat signature of it's own missile explosion, or that it's so lightly armored that a mere AK47 was able to blow it up Likewise, the T-1's head is so fragile that a strong twist was able to disable the entire unit. Still, those twin .50cal depleted uranium chainguns sure has the firepower department covered, it shredded that other T-1 in no time
Terminator 3 is going to be a masterpiece compared to the new sh*t they're about to roll out... They should rather make a new Terminator film based on the future we see in Kyle Reese's nightmares, with the HK-Tanks and HK-VTOL aircraft.
I do agree your comment about the T1 as Evolution design of the Terminator before is a prototype or the grandfather are all the Terminator designs like he's explained videos you make

I share your sentiments of the evolution of the designs. Also, the T1 robots were designed by the Stan Winston school: th-cam.com/video/7zNUKvAza0A/w-d-xo.html. Stan Winston was also responsible for the special effects of The terminator and for a part of the special effects of Terminator 2.
Regarding continuity, there are at least four timelines. Timeline 1- The guy sho stood up Sarah Connor in Terminator 1 actually does go on a date with her and fathers John Connor eventually. Timeline 2- The timeline were all familiar with. The movies going from the first terminator up to Salvation. Timeline 3- The “Genesys” timeline. Basically, Skynet in its T-5000 body, arrived from another universe to alter the Movie Timeline. Timeline 4- “Dark Fate” timeline. I’m not going to lie, as much as I totally agree about “Go woke Go broke”, I am kinda interested in this one. Spoilers ahead, but I assume you already know what I’m about to say. After a Terminator kills John Connor, it causes a butterfly effect that causes Skynet to never exist, but instead there’s Legion. Along with a new “John Connor” in the woman that the new terminator and Sarah need to protect. There’s always going to be a John Connor and there’s always going to be a Skynet. No matter what. There’s also other timelines, regarding the SCC and the Comics, but I don’t know too much about those.
What was the first infiltration unit?Probably a T-100 or something but I’m curious when Skynet decided instead of direct attack to switch to subtle measures.

Living breathing people operating machinery is far more reliable, your military isn't going to suddenly turn on you with its assets. This is one reason why human soldiers haven't been replaced.
Will you do more movie monster explain soon
Eventually
I love the T-1 model
I love this design of the hk, its grounded in reality, something that could be built today
Great job, I’d like to see a video of the terminator t-70 explained
Wait, what is the background music pls?
He Looks like sideswipe from Transformers tho
pretty cool video!
it's like the older brother of History Behind The Warrior great video's thanks for all the content.
I fought these monsters in Future Shock and Skynet (Bethesda, 1995 and 1996, MS DOS). Great video btw.
I actually enjoyed T3 more than any other movie... machine wise. Especially the games. T3 Redemption is my absolute favorite. The different machines they has. These best I hope it's brought up eventually from the games, was The Scorpian!
The Salvation T-1s look dope as hell imo
So what terminator model is the real world currently on? I think we're past the T1 by now.
We are quite close to a T-600.
HK
The main thing holding back the tech is a viable power source for current day machines.
Daniel Paoli in intelligence not at all
Can’t not think how easy it would be to disarm it. Those exposed ammo chains.
The 6 wheeled one is interesting it might be quick enough to have some sort of Car chase scene with and yet it's simple enough to actually build it as a gigantic RC car.
Terminator 3 is a childhood movie for me so I like it alot
By the time dark fate comes out we will all miss T3
The following Terminators are my favorites and have the correct nicknames according to the lore:
T-1
T-600
Marcus (T-800 Prototype)
T-800
T-1000
T-X (T-2000)
T-3000
Rev-7 (T-4000 Prototype)
Rev-9 (T-4000)
Skynet (T-5000)
Cool Video. Please do the Aliens Colonial Marine Tank
Hated the fact those were easy to take down in the game terminator salvation but the t-600 was absolute hell
EDIT: Im talking about the terminator salvation game on ps3 but this is the wrong terminator I just found that out lmao
The arcade as well or the PS and X box game?
Future Shock and Skynet (Bethesda, 1995 and 1996 MS DOS) were great Terminator games. These massive tanks were in them. Pure hell.
You should make a video history of Kyle Reese.
Is there any Cthulhu mythos creatures you haven’t covered yet?
I've covered a lot, the ones I haven't is mainly because it would just be me speculating as not much info on them. Cthulhu and Lovecraft by design is intentionally vague to retain the cosmic horror vibe, so it becomes difficult to talk about some bits and pieces. It's something I'd like to return to though
Mr H Reviews hmm ok
Yes, absolutely, we don’t know enough about Kyle, and from the flashbacks, it looks very interesting.
Love these lore videos
I never understood why they had all these fully armed robots just lined up under plastic. Were they testing them? If so, why have all of them armed instead of just the units under test?
I don't understand the hate on T3 I liked it, especially the chase scene with the crane and that Loken chick was smoking hot
@Cyberdemon Mike I liked salvation too, for me the kick in the balls was Genesis
Rise of the machines was a really good movie!!
wheels got better grip than a tracked one? in what univers?
I like how the story splits after the 2nd
Always learning from this content
Does anyone else notice the similarity to the robots of the short circuit movies? That's what I've always compared them too anyway. They same basic design elements are there.
That's so cool that your a car dude I'll make sure to check out your content 👍👍
What about the Tijuan
5:42 cute, big machine's with freakin mini gun's on it they communicate like humans
Can you do a review on the aerial hunter killers?
I have a request to make, is there any chance you could use your old background music when you do lore videos? The one that you use atm sounds so gleeful.
He will always be my favourite.
I wish they would have shown more of them
Have you done a video on the HK Tank yet? The one we saw extensively in Reeses dream T1 explanation.
Not yet dude. It's on the list ☺️
I like the design of the T-1, and I have to agree that the Terminator evolution is there.
I got a dark fate ad on this video
5:45 Where would the ammo be stored?
Whats the name of the song playing in the background
T3 is underrated it’s way better than all the woke SJW post 2015 blockbusters combined.
I love the T1 design it gives the feel of evolution towards the T-600 and T-800 series it is also reminiscent of the Terminator(1984) HK tanks we see in the Future Battle scenes...
Awesome
That looks like something from Robo Cop
It's like a T-ED 209
My 1rst time reaction is it's like a water scooter
These early models all have quite a bit of flaws. Like the mini HK aerial that ends up chasing the heat signature of it's own missile explosion, or that it's so lightly armored that a mere AK47 was able to blow it up
Likewise, the T-1's head is so fragile that a strong twist was able to disable the entire unit.
I do agree your comment about the T1 as Evolution design of the Terminator before is a prototype or the grandfather are all the Terminator designs like he's explained videos you make
when are you going to do the 1984 model hunter killer tank?
Where is the ammo stored and how does it get in the feeding hose?
Good question.
The T 1 and HK drones are my favorite
Do a T1 vs ED 209 vid
The T-1's Battle field robot was in the future war but bigger.
When will you explain the lbgt-9000, and it's mission to destroy humanity
Im confused
That's what I've been calling the new Terminator... LPGT-9000 somehow we went from a 500-pound Austrian bodybuilder,, to some transgendered snowflake 😱😱
@@mikycarney5779 they're a spoiled attention seeker but in adult form our defense were just to ignore them they wouldn't last for 2 generation.. our grandchild will laugh at snowflakes exist on our generation just like hippie culture exist in old days they capture few important people heart right? guess what? they are now ridiculed by us..
@@MaseraSteve2 God willing 🙏
@@mikycarney5779 amen, I'm still considered current generation but live in different country i was born in 99 but these "snowflake" are out of this world like : i identify as (..) or oh I'm offended you should've apologize it's a childish 5 years old identity crisis goddangit! man, we need to diclipline kids like old fashioned way that was what i was raised with, and i don't like current weak young people they already lost intended nature function and human value what made exist to this today
Are we going to get a video about the T-70 terminators? These were featured in the T2-3D ride at Universal Studios.
T-850 is the first Infiltration Unit.
@@josearrocha3377 so the T-800s were just skeletal looking robots with no skin👌
@@LordWyatt yeah. They were the first of the new upgraded battlefield model. There’s also the T808, T820, T825 and T825 V. The differences between these are all durability and types/amount of weapons they use on the battlefield.
