As if T- 800 is not bad enough already, every thing has to be bigger and Bader. I have to admit this T-888 Does look quite good, as apposed to resent films. 💀
Big and badder killed the franchise. Thanks T2... Good movie but, it was only meant to sell merchandise and create sequels. The series should have ended the way it began. In the Future War and John Connor leading the Human Resistance to victory shortly after Reese goes after the Terminator. At least sending two terminators and blowing up Skynet and ending the war.
@@Gorecatto Totally agreed! The only thing I think that worked with T2 without adding and ever growing (without explanation) universe that T2 created was a good Terminator. The T-1000 ruined the franchise because, he was too big and bad that all Skynet would need to do is send an army of them. Rendering the T-800's obsolete and effectively kill the resistance before they can send a good Terminator back and ultimately killing young John and Sarah no sweat. A good Terminator could have been sent into the heart of Skynet (sorta like T2: 3D - Battle Across Time did) to destroy it and either carried a virus to turn Skynet good thus ending the war or the T-800 detonating it's fuel cell or carrying or driving tons of explosives into the heart of Skynet HQ or all of the above.
It wasn't ever made explicit, but it was implied that the T-888 was a product of improved Skynet technological access due to temporal bootstrapping. The series number may be something held across timelines, meaning that several intermediate models (Like the T-850 from T3) might have never even been developed in the timeline presented in the show. It's worth noting that multiple timelines are present in the show, with two characters in a relationship not realizing that the other is from an alternate history for most of a season. Additionally, the T-888 represented a different manufacturing paradigm for Skynet infiltration. Previously, the goal of infiltration was to get close to humans before attacking. There wasn't much point in replicating specific people. The T-888 was based on a modular design that allowed infiltration units of different sizes to be constructed. T-888 could receive a more advanced synthetic flesh sheath that could be built based on the form of a living human. This allowed skynet to imitate specific people that it could replace with Terminators. It's unknown whether or not T-888's were seriously deployed as front-line troops, and the circumstantial evidence implies that they weren't. T-888's are shown being active and receiving personal instruction before they are sheathed in fake flesh. One unit (the main character Cameron) is shown spending several days talking to and interrogating a girl she was built to replace in the future.
I didn't realize there was anything besides the 800 and the 850. Definitely a logical progression to that series of Terminators. It's sad that you have to put a psa at the end of your videos saying if we don't like a video then don't watch it. This is just common sense. Keep making the videos you want to Mr H.
peepee poopoo the T-X was design to kill Terminator it was so strong that Skynet had to upgrade the T-800 to a T-850 so it can at least have chance to fight with the T-X in case the resistance got a hold of a T-X well that my theory anyway because it make senses to me
Love your explanation series. They're how I found your channel. I actually picked up the Rogue Trooper game and comics because of your 2000 AD vids! Have a great day.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles was a very interesting spin-off from the Terminator universe.. one that stood alone and could be rebooted one day, or continued. It sort of re-booted Skynet as something different.. divergent.. with a mission that changed. Instead of eradication J.Henry became fascinated with Humanity, Time and learning or controlling Fate.. even partnering with Humanity. Its story is far from over.
Well, J.Henry wasn't actually Skynet. It's a Skynet substitute. Skynet still existed/came into being using similar framework, code and architecture. J.Henry refers to Skynet as it's 'Brother'. Essentially, J.Henry is a product of the machine resistance that disagreed with Skynet's insitance that Himanity is a threat and must be eradicated. They sought to ally with Humanity and/or usurp Skynet's dominance to see if coexistence with Humanity was possible.
Proof of alternate power in original cannon too. Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The alternate powercell is likely in it's head because, it's torso was damaged from being impaled.
Arnie had a secondary power source activation Subrutene during the steel mill ending battle. Maybe the ability to micromanage various failsafe mechanisms/executable programs for limbs to seek out the core Torso might be plausible.
Good explanation of the T-888. I thought it was cool that it was a Terminator that was simultaneously able to be both mass produced and produced in various configurations for different sizes of people for different infiltration assignments. If you can, can you please do a TSCC T-600 video next? I have always felt that the TV show got the concept of the T-600 right better than in the movie.

You've also made me curious about the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Never watched it. Will check it out. Thanks. Keep up the good work.
I like the T-888 in fact I like all of the different Terminator models. Keep up the good work and I'll keep coming back and keep recommending you to my friends and family 👍👍
Wow I remember this model in Sarah Connor Chronicles...that's a deep infiltration unit & is the closest to mimicking a human being without actually having the understanding to do so. I have always liked the idea of there being many of these units living among society for years before they are activated to their mission & target.
I liked the show and love the t-888 they came off as a real upgrade of the t-800 model, showing Skynet improving it's designs in an attempt to counter the resistance. As I recall if a t-888's cpu found itself being accessed after being removed from it's body it would attempt to hack the computer accessing it and identify who was trying to access it where it was and then access the internet and send this information to any other t-888's active at that time. The t-888's cpu is a small super computer and a real threat all on it's own. Very cool Video
I like the lore behind the 888 and how one was pretending to be human for a while. TSCC explored some great ideas particularly the 888 that got sent to the wrong year. I like it's slightly more superior to the 800 but so much that it's overkill. Honestly the writers of TSCC were alot better than the writers of rise, genisis & dark fate
In terms of lore, the T-888 still fits efficiently. After all, the main purpose of the T-800 was to provide infiltration capability if required and the T-888 is an upgrade on this capability. But the T-800 series itself was mostly intended as a battlefield replacement of the less sophisticated or effective T-600 series. Why would Skynet switch total production of the T-800/850 lines over to the more expensive T-888 as a battlefield unit until the Resistance had figured out a way to nullify the infiltration advantages of the T-888? Skynet always plays its cards very close to its chest, which is half the reason the Resistance is always on the back foot until 2029.
Sucks about the rights issue because Something like this would be the perfect Villian or villians in a Future War Prequel Movie. In a way they are still T-800s with the "Arnold or Franco" Models being the earlier models designed for getting into suspected smaller bases and lasting long enough to wipe them out while these later models are designed for long term infiltration to locate other surrounding bases and sabotage offensive's against Skynet and also finding the location of John Connor. Then once their purpose is complete, usually after a few months, they can issue a signal beacon which marks the base for termination leading to either those big battles from the nightmares/flashbacks with the HK tanks and jets and/or a Squad of 101s marching in and eradicating people.
Fun Fact: The Edos were redesigned as T-888 because the show wasn't allowed to use the T-800, T-1000, the theme song or even the word "Terminator" due to legal reasons. Another fun fact is that this embargo didn't stopped the show from being the best thing since T2. ;)
4:15 Well, from "the last star fighter", Beta, the simuloid that took Alex Rogan's place and earth, while Alex was in space, was able to remove his own head (he needed to work on his audio sensors, since they were so strong, the sound of a moth flying against the bed room window was causing him pain) and was able to control his body. Not too far off.
How about doing one about how The resistance and Skynet constructing and protecting their manufacturing bases and How do they get their resources and Materials.
It would be pretty simple how the body can find the head once it's severed. The body has sensors and it is simple enough to imagine the terminator to keep a constantly updated map knowledge of its surroundings along with the possibility of kinetic/tilt/accelerometer and other sensors allowing for better spacial awareness along with its gps tracking system skynet uses to keep track of units that may be accessible locally by the terminator itself on the fly to adapt along with the likelihood of the body and head having their own wireless antennas to share sensor and other information in case of decapatation. It would also not be a stretch to assume the body has the sensors to carry on by itself if the head cannot be found or at least commit to a suicide explosion on nearby targets during combat if it believes it has lost
I would suggest that the T-8xx that confronted Catherine Weaver in "Born To Run" was indeed a T-800 rather than a T-888. Although no dialogue supports that conjecture (again indicating that possible rights issue you brought up), that particular machine's behavior is much less sophisticated than that of a Trip-8. It just *behaves* more like a T-800, if that makes sense.
Creatively deadly. There's a signal in the head that leads it's body to it's heads location! I remember the episode, in 'The Sarah Connor Chronicles,' where this was displayed! Skynet is relentless.
I actually liked the body reconnecting to the head, in terms of the Terminators upgrading it's like the early signs of the T1000 having the ability to reform when it's liquid form is seperated around.
The T-888 uses the Bluetooth 15.0 wireless standard. Version 14.0 (which shipped with the T-800) did not have the range and speed necessary for decapitation mode.

I’m confused by the Dark Fate plot descriptions online. They use Legion and Skynet interchangeably, but I thought that Skynet didn’t exist anymore and it would be called Legion instead?
supposedly in T Dark Fate, the T800 model 101 series, maintains a Wi-Fi link between all the units that are sent by Skynet to the field, for this reason when in T2 Uncle Bob took the chip and then put it back in, He was in reading mode, which gave him the ability to learn and as Carl arrived at the same time, he was able to receive Uncle Bob's information.
we have seen the series 850 partially decapitated in T3 which is how the T-X was able to inject nanomachines into the unit. so the head is held on quite tightly to the chasse on at least the 850. however, I would say only units sent back in time would have this function as the other models 800 are all wirelessly linked to Skynet.
9:30 I agree. I had no idea you made those sorts of videos. I might watch them, but yeah, you should be free to upload whatever kind of video you want.
I think is somehow like the T-X the same kind of cyborg except that the T-X have plasma and fire weapons (as far as it can be seen in the movie) and can control other mechanics things like cars and other Terminators too, and this T-888 doesn't. So in general terms i will conclude that the most powerful Terminator ever created of all movies was the T-3000 John Connor that we see in Terminator Genesis, since it has nanotech and was more difficult to kill even than the T-1000, so my list would be: 1-T-3000 2-T-X 3-T-888 4-T-1000 5-T-850 6-T-800

The terminatrix foot slammed a T800 Arnold units head off although it was still connected with wires and stuff and that shut him down temporarily. So I don't think you're based T800 or even the upgrade versions can operate headless.
I loved Terminator TSCC. I still have no idea why they canceled it or if it’s even canon. But as this video says, the Terminator models seen on the show were never mentioned anywhere else, along with a few characters. For example, Derek Reese (the older brother of Kyle Reese) is a great and essential character on TSCC but is never seen or mentioned anywhere else. Not to mention, the show ended on a cliffhanger and they got John’s age wrong. So I assume that the show is non-canonical.
Revelation 9 9th line. 9 They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. 10 They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. 11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer).
@@pliskenx51mm83 it is literally named Legion as a reference to the demons of mark 5:9 (Legion as this same reference is also found in literally tons of things, see: wikipedia article "Legion in Popular Culture")... rev is short for revanent which is a word for someone who is brought back to life from death. So, yes, it is a reference to scripture from the Bible in the title of its' killing machine. And it is also a reference to scripture from the Bible in the title of itself, "Legion".
IMO the T-888 is the best Terminator of all. It is not the best killer of the T-series however, their missions focused more on the temporal war. Something that TSCC seamed to be handling very well and the movies just seem to glase over.
Assuming some of the elements of genesis are cannon then it’s safe to assume the regular T-800 can not function after being decapitated since we see Kyle defeat the T-800 by shooting its head off
A cool improvement to the next 800 series would be a 3d printed skeleton that used a hallow structure for buoyancy in water as well as to improve structural rigidity in extreme weathering conditions. "Lightweight" invasion terminators
it was good, some okay stuff, some weird stuff.. unfortunately some of the best stuff was at the end of season 2 if i remember correctly. i think it had already been canceled by that point, and it really left a feeling of "just when it was picking up." it may have been the very last episode. i wont spoil it, but it finally felt like a real terminator show. it was mostly good overall, but there were always some things missing that made the show feel out of place in the lore and terminator universe. at the end of the show, there was a major change of tone, there were real consequences, etc. it showed that the show could have been even better the entire time, and if they had written the show the same way they did the last episode or better, it would have kept going for longer.
Great show. One of my all time favorites. 10/10. Too bad it didnt last long. A 3rd season (considering what happened in the last episode of season 2) would have made it the most awesome show in the history of television.
So I’m guessing Cameron, from TSCC show was also a 888 series? I can’t remember if it’s ever said what model she is, she is also seen eating food, and when John quizzes her about it, she says “I’m different.”, and if she’s not a 888, what is she?
In terminator rise of the machines the terminator X basicly stomped off the t 850s head off by insane force while still hanging by a thread of wires and reconnected its head on again it was really cool.
I'm thinking about the last T-800 in Dark Fate. The final scene of the opening of Terminator 2. After seeing the T-800 and seeing the Terminator machine, I realized that all the machines had teeth painted white on metal.
I liked it as a T-800 upgrade, except for the whole headless horseman thing. It doesn't line up with all the movie abilities, and is OP AF. Oh and also the model number. T-888? Sounds a little too much like human creativity, instead of efficient numbering in line of the movie numbering scheme. T-600, T-700, T-800, T-850, T-888(?). In my opinion they should have used something like T-880, T-870, or T-860.
What I don't understand is, in T3, they had the shitty robots on wheels, both terminators died as Arnold sacrificed himself and the liquid metal robot, so how did these wheel based robots somehow get to human based skeletons? Something MUST have happened in order for skynet to build the first human endo-skeleton so it can build stuff itself. Can even outrun the terminators in T3 as there were only flying robots and the ground based ones that could only roll around. Can be easily taken out.

@@coreym162 true , if only T1 , Salvation (with better execution) , and another T3(to end the war) existed , i would be a happy android
@Eclipse538 You lead a very sheltered life.
I didn't realize there was anything besides the 800 and the 850. Definitely a logical progression to that series of Terminators.
It's sad that you have to put a psa at the end of your videos saying if we don't like a video then don't watch it. This is just common sense. Keep making the videos you want to Mr H.
Sorry, but to me every Terminator created after T-1000 come off as a step down.
thnzxc well the T-X is not a step down but I say after the T-X yes
The TX is a step up.....i huge step up....and maybe the T 3000.....maybe
@@joshuapiplup if you destroyed TXs chassis it would be deemed deactivated and unable to function
T-X is proven to be superior than the T-1000.
peepee poopoo the T-X was design to kill Terminator it was so strong that Skynet had to upgrade the T-800 to a T-850 so it can at least have chance to fight with the T-X in case the resistance got a hold of a T-X well that my theory anyway because it make senses to me
Love your explanation series. They're how I found your channel. I actually picked up the Rogue Trooper game and comics because of your 2000 AD vids! Have a great day.
I really like T SCC. It was different, but in a good way.
Wish it would have gotten renewed.
I edited this comment so none of the replies make sense.
Proof of alternate power in original cannon too. Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The alternate powercell is likely in it's head because, it's torso was damaged from being impaled.
I've reported you for mentioning the Terminator film with which we do not say.

REV-9 is my favorite to date. Also, I love your lore videos man. Aliens, terminator, esc... plz keep them coming
May I ask you something about The Terminator Franchise?
@@SledgerFromTDS. go ahead.
@@ragingjaguarknight86 In your own Opinion what was your Most & Least Favourite Terminator Model?
This is just your own Opinion/ Thought so it's ok to Like/ Dislike/ Love/ Hate!
@@SledgerFromTDS. it depends on the task at hand. For straight up assassination missions or a simple guard mission, the T-800 from the first movie is my favorite. For actual infiltration and intelligence gathering, the "Cameron" model from TSCC would be top pick. My least favorite is the T600 from Terminator: Salvation. Its just crude and so unlike the way Kyle Reese described them in the original movie. Hope this answers your question. 😎👍
@@ragingjaguarknight86 Well in my own Opinion, I think the T-600 Models are Best at Terminator Battle Units, I think the T-800/T-1000 Models is Best for Terminator Infiltration Units, Hence my Most Favourite Terminator Model is the T-1000 & Least Favourite Terminator Model is the T-200.
T 800 had several models and upgrades such as T850 and T888
And in the the game resistance were also a 808 and a 820, but don't ask me what's exactly the difference is between the 2 models.!?
Maybe better armor against plasmarifles.!?
Mr H great factual reviews as always, massive fan, please keep up with the quality content.
Always appreciate your work. I find the T-888 is an interesting evolution which makes sense given that Skynet was always looking for new ways of wiping out the resistance. You've also made me curious about the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Never watched it. Will check it out. Thanks. Keep up the good work.
T-888. So, it's the teletext terminator!
@BrianByonVEVOAt least the T-888 comes with a TV guide, ha!
@BrianByonVEVO Damn, I thought surviving the nuke was bad but this is worse.
@BrianByonVEVO you make some good points, it's a complete survival champion.
I like the T-888 in fact I like all of the different Terminator models. Keep up the good work and I'll keep coming back and keep recommending you to my friends and family 👍👍
ooo missed these explaining things
Chronicles was so good imo. Also you do you man personally i missed seeing these.

I don't especially enjoy the car videos but it's your channel and you will (and should) do what you like with it
Fun Fact: The Edos were redesigned as T-888 because the show wasn't allowed to use the T-800, T-1000, the theme song or even the word "Terminator" due to legal reasons. Another fun fact is that this embargo didn't stopped the show from being the best thing since T2. ;)
Nice one dude....just watched T2 again there for first time in years...

I know. I recorded this a while ago and just didn't release it
How about doing one about how The resistance and Skynet constructing and protecting their manufacturing bases and How do they get their resources and Materials.
The t-850 had 2 power cells and the t-888 only had 1?
It's a cool addition, I was unaware of this particular model
I would suggest that the T-8xx that confronted Catherine Weaver in "Born To Run" was indeed a T-800 rather than a T-888. Although no dialogue supports that conjecture (again indicating that possible rights issue you brought up), that particular machine's behavior is much less sophisticated than that of a Trip-8. It just *behaves* more like a T-800, if that makes sense.
Creatively deadly. There's a signal in the head that leads it's body to it's heads location! I remember the episode, in 'The Sarah Connor Chronicles,' where this was displayed! Skynet is relentless.
Damn T-800 has a mad overbite. Good to know the T-888 takes pride in his teeth.
Love your vids, news and info, happy to see Sarah Connor chronicles vids. Would love to see a vid on the show's contract bc what they could use seems so random. Anyway keep up the good work

I’m confused by the Dark Fate plot descriptions online. They use Legion and Skynet interchangeably, but I thought that Skynet didn’t exist anymore and it would be called Legion instead?
I can imagine T-888 casually sinking whilst having his thumb raised as everyone watches in awe and glory
No upgrades to their accuracy apparently.
supposedly in T Dark Fate, the T800 model 101 series, maintains a Wi-Fi link between all the units that are sent by Skynet to the field, for this reason when in T2 Uncle Bob took the chip and then put it back in, He was in reading mode, which gave him the ability to learn and as Carl arrived at the same time, he was able to receive Uncle Bob's information.
we have seen the series 850 partially decapitated in T3 which is how the T-X was able to inject nanomachines into the unit. so the head is held on quite tightly to the chasse on at least the 850. however, I would say only units sent back in time would have this function as the other models 800 are all wirelessly linked to Skynet.
9:30 I agree. I had no idea you made those sorts of videos. I might watch them, but yeah, you should be free to upload whatever kind of video you want.
I in fact DID subscribe to watch every single weird idea you come up with. That's what the sub button is for. I'm glad to see you experiment.
I think is somehow like the T-X the same kind of cyborg except that the T-X have plasma and fire weapons (as far as it can be seen in the movie) and can control other mechanics things like cars and other Terminators too, and this T-888 doesn't. So in general terms i will conclude that the most powerful Terminator ever created of all movies was the T-3000 John Connor that we see in Terminator Genesis, since it has nanotech and was more difficult to kill even than the T-1000, so my list would be:
1-T-3000
2-T-X
3-T-888
4-T-1000
5-T-850
6-T-800
Hey real quick when things are slowing down can you do some of the comic book reading such as twenty eight days later or similar.

Thanks for the video, Mr. H. Love these lore videos as well as your project car videos, keep it up :D
Skynet mass produces all models it’s amazing
The terminatrix foot slammed a T800 Arnold units head off although it was still connected with wires and stuff and that shut him down temporarily. So I don't think you're based T800 or even the upgrade versions can operate headless.
Love these videos
It is stated in TV show that T888 had 3 CPUs inside for redundancy. 2 of those in its body.
We also see T600s in TSCC and its the first time we see them since it was before salvation.
I think skynet is a genius
Very intresting. ..damn wanna see more terminators
love your work mate, keep it up
Do you think the name "Rev-9" is a reference to "Revelation 9?"
Beatles Revolution 9
Revision 9, like in a software update.
I doubt Skynet or Legion would reference scripture from the Bible in the titles of its killing machines.
I like your terminator explained videos.
The t 888 was an upgrade from the 850 which was seen in Terminator 2 which was an upgrade of the 800 seen in the first Terminator
3:42
It has no fate, scratched onto it’s shoulder
IMO the T-888 is the best Terminator of all.
It is not the best killer of the T-series however, their missions focused more on the temporal war.
Something that TSCC seamed to be handling very well and the movies just seem to glase over.
I love all the videos u do
Assuming some of the elements of genesis are cannon then it’s safe to assume the regular T-800 can not function after being decapitated since we see Kyle defeat the T-800 by shooting its head off
And Marcus decapitated the T-RIP in Salvation, shutting it down.
3:15 Marcus disabled the T800 in Salvation by decapitating it.
The 888 looked so bad ass!
I miss uncle bob
A cool improvement to the next 800 series would be a 3d printed skeleton that used a hallow structure for buoyancy in water as well as to improve structural rigidity in extreme weathering conditions. "Lightweight" invasion terminators
Was the Sarah Connor Cronicals any good? Like 1-10? Ive always wanted to check it out but never got to it.
It was good but it got cancelled after two seasons
it was good, some okay stuff, some weird stuff.. unfortunately some of the best stuff was at the end of season 2 if i remember correctly. i think it had already been canceled by that point, and it really left a feeling of "just when it was picking up." it may have been the very last episode. i wont spoil it, but it finally felt like a real terminator show. it was mostly good overall, but there were always some things missing that made the show feel out of place in the lore and terminator universe. at the end of the show, there was a major change of tone, there were real consequences, etc. it showed that the show could have been even better the entire time, and if they had written the show the same way they did the last episode or better, it would have kept going for longer.
Dude did you do an Arnold impression at the beginning? Fucking Mint.
No I didn't
TSCC needs to be brought back
loved the video
Damn. I was about to say the T-888 was about to appear in T: Dark Fate. But it'll be pretty cool if it made a cameo.
The T-888 head reminds me of psycho’s head from Maxsteel the Original
