- All possible outcomes and follow ups in the Tali / Legion conflict in Mass Effect 2. This scene occurs after completing both Tali's and Legion's loyalty missions.
Note: Two lines of dialogue between Legion and Tali about the heretics and Tali's exile status change depending on the results of each loyalty mission. This is the result of Tali's exile and the destruction of the heretics. If you want to check out the variation, most videos have Tali redeemed and the heretics brain washed. - เกม

the quarians do it with heretics the geth should not care moreover the problem with both races is that no one seeks a peaceful solution the quarians obviously want their planet and have hatred for the geth, while the geths isolate themselves and do not trust the organic
It's the one and only time we see legion genuinely angry.

I like when you side with tali, that legion is not salty and says "we understand" but you still lose his loyalty
He does say that in a condescending and defeated manner, like "We've tried to cooperate with you and yet you still distrust us despite our good will, that's very disappointing"

Legion only says, "we will obey" after seconds of Geth Discussion.
Geth only reached the consensus of obey with Sheppard's orders after it calculated the probability of saying "fuck this" and killing everyone on the ship to escape, and realized it would have a better chance of continuing the mission if it did not do that.
OH DAMN. Legion just calls you "Shepard" not "Commander" when he's mad!!

Actually, this is very close to how the geth quarian war started in the first place. There was no reason to attack the geth the first time. Yet the quarians still did. The geth weren't killing or on the brink of revolution. They were simply "chilling".
The quarians Always attacked the geth when they though they were stronger. History proves that quarians are simply genocidal maniacs.
So yes, it is that simple. Quarians simply want to kill geth. The quarians don't need a reason, they simply do.The first geth quarian war proved that. And if they do need a reason they can simply make something up to justify their genocidal campaign against the geth.
Quarians=killing geth. Simple.
And you approve of the quarians actions of trying to kill the geth just for asking that a geth has a soul?
RaxuRangerking Haha. Quarians trying to shut down the Geth was because of mercy towards the Geth? Mercy had nothing to do with it. The quarians were simply trying save their asses because they were afraid that the Geth might rebel. This baseless assumption was foolish and they lost their own world because of it.
And yes! I do make it sound like the Geth are are a race; because they are. Loki Mechs are just bots. Geth are self-aware and have the ability to learn, think for themselves and have the capacity to envolve on their own. This makes them alive. They exceeded their Original programming and gained free will. This makes them more organic than simple machines; though they are of course, neither. Also, the existence of the geth heretics proves that they also have their own beliefs about life. Seems like a pretty organic trait to me... Can a LOKI mech chose to follow sovereign? I don't think so!
This does however prove the evil potential some geth can have. So I will give you that one. But still, it is a very small minority; I will give myself that one.
And even if they are "just bots" one thing remains perfectly clear. The (mainstream) Geth are the good guys in the story. They never attacked the Quarians without provocation; only when their extinction was the alternative. The Quarians tried to wipe out the Geth any change they could; the Quarians where the aggressors. The Geth had at least two chances to wipe out the quarians entirely but they choose not to.
For "simple bots" they have way more soul than those organic space nomads. Based on the history between these two races (yes races) it is not difficult to make a choice if I would be forced. But I (just like the geth) prefer to coexist rather to wipe another race out just because they asked some questions.

Which is why rather than resolving the geth quarian conflict I just had the geth kill all the quarians. Because the quarians need a suit to survive in air while the geth dont need one to survive in space.
Also the geth are more bullet proof.

After the renegade solution they are like siblings, pretending to get along so they don't get into more trouble.

This footage with Legion threatening Tali is just another indication that Legion does have feelings (i.e. irrational decision making). He just rarely ever acts on them.

I've never actually seen Tali pissed off like she is if you take legion's side. Firing off guns in anger, grabbing Shepard and raging at him.

Damn, I wish I chose some of the options that resulted in Tali getting mad. She's so animated and expressive, in spite of her face being hidden in that helmet. They did such a good job expanding her character in this game, it's no wonder she is waifu.

4:34 Synthetics are so interesting. When Legion is ordered to not upload the data, he's clearly in conflict, processing maybe - I'd say the 1,183 programs within him were trying to find consensus but found that it would be better to just get along. The little lights on his head also go red, it's like a CyberLife Android's LED when it has conflicting orders or is going deviant. Very cool detail 😄

Wow I've only ever seen the paragon option for this, the regular options are so much more interesting.
General Maul Yeah- while you initially loae the loyalty of the one you argued against, as soon as you use one of the options to explain why you did as you did, you regain their loyalty.
Of note however is that these arguements shut off romance possibilities should you side against a romance option.

I am surprised there was no Jacob Thane fight. When Legion and Jack join the crew, they immediately have conflicts with Tali and Miranda, like Jacob and Thane. Though the problems are Thane is too calm to get in a fight and/or not to take Shepard's side, and who would choose Jacob over Thane?

I don't think they'd fight but I do understand why you'd think there wouldve been one. If anything Jacob would respect Thane more for trying to help his son especially considering what he found his father was doing all those years. Maybe if you didn't do Jacob mission I could see a possible conflict but only if you fail the mission and he'd see Thane "letting a killer get away"
Honestly, they probably could’ve done a more emotional outburst, not really a full on anger filled fight, but more so Jacob being a bit jealous of Thane’s life.

Femshep is way more intimidating in literally every renegade scene in all three games. You can feel your bones crawl when she tells Tali and Legion that they can either fight at her side or get crushed under her.

Femshep mostly isnt scary, she just sounds like a wannabe tough bitch.
Tbh, i prefer male shepard in this scene as well. whever people like to admit or not there are scenes where male shepard is simply better like the "you big stupid jellyfish" and on thanes loyalty mission with the "there's a bomb scene".

Well, Legion is a unit of Hardware run by multiple pieces of software. The Geth refer to themselves as Software only as they can upload and download themselves into pretty much everything if there's enough memory on the Hard Drive. Legion himself said there were more than 1,000 Geth Units inside the body they use.

Yeah, the best that can be found is someone that played it 1 year ago.
You know I understand Talis' "anger" though I label it as frustration however, that went through a lot to get the data legion is compromising. She saw dozens of others under her command die,then got put on a sham trial which threatened to exile her (or did), and then find her dead father. All of this happened before Shepard Who she trusted beyond belief despite his working for Cerberus , Shepard then lets Legion upload the data despite knowing what Tali has been through, She has to sit there and watch as all of her friends pain and suffering gets reduced to nothing. You can tell she's hurt by reading the shadow brokers terminal about her unsent messages, you can see her struggling to write letters of condolences to those Quarians families who lost loved ones under her command. You can also see she downloads a video on how to cope with loss, shit just sucks one of the main problems Tali faces is her not being able to make decisions for herself and by extension to live for herself, This decision is an aspect of people taking control from her.
"pet Geth" sounds awesome. Quarians should make less advanced aI synths. Like Dog-like ones, hamster-like ones...
