Old comment but Tali and the Shadow Broker have history. Tali tried to sell her intel to the Broker but Fist betrayed the broker for Saren. Tali ends up giving the intel to Shepard rather than the Shadow Broker. That probably made him sore. The Broker intended to kill Tali after she gave the intel to him but of course Tali never knew this even after the deal fell through.
Consider the information in Shadow Broker's dossier on Tali, I'm start to wonder if Fist really turn to Saren or just pretended to. On one hand, one of his agent hire Wrex to kill Fist. That part was weird to me. Wouldn't have taken much to add something for them. Handing Miranda to her father, for example. As cool as this DLC was, I found it laughable how the Shadow Broker and his subordinates kept acting like he was some kind of God-like figure. He wasn't even the first Shadow Broker. When he kills a Reaper, THEN he can act high and mighty around Shepard.

The Shadow Broker is so spot on on Tali's lack of leadership haha! On Freedom Progress, she is absolutely unable to control her lousy teamates who end up all killed or seriously wounded while on Haestrom, most of her team gets killed. She has a lot of "human" qualities, but having leadership is certainly not one of them! However, the Shadow Broker fumbles in the dark about Jacob. He's neither important nor irreplaceable for Cerberus. He's merely a competent soldier and I doubt that the Illusive Man has a hard time recruiting them. Nice try Broker, nice try. :P

Old comment but Tali and the Shadow Broker have history. Tali tried to sell her intel to the Broker but Fist betrayed the broker for Saren. Tali ends up giving the intel to Shepard rather than the Shadow Broker. That probably made him sore. The Broker intended to kill Tali after she gave the intel to him but of course Tali never knew this even after the deal fell through.
Consider the information in Shadow Broker's dossier on Tali, I'm start to wonder if Fist really turn to Saren or just pretended to. On one hand, one of his agent hire Wrex to kill Fist. On the other hand, there was this message.

Man, I wish I could recruit this guy! They could've made him a companion option in ME3. As I recall, when you prove yourself to be the strongest leader, Yahg will be fiercely loyal. Talk what you want, but he was an awesome Shadow Broker. I'm sensing the Shadow Broker isn't fond of Quarians. Literally everyone else is somewhat complimented, even if it's just about the size of the bounty on their heads, while Tali is just berated for her supposed lack of leadership on what was little better than a suicide mission.
+Ramrikai I believe if you choose her to lead a team in the suicide mission, Miranda even exclaims "the last two times she was in charge, everyone died!" No one's going to let her forget that. Not the Broker. Not Miranda. No one.

Essentially if you bring Miranda or Jacob it's a waste of dialogue. Everyone else has a custom response from the Broker.
That part was weird to me. Wouldn't have taken much to add something for them. Handing Miranda to her father, for example. And even Jacob could have had some line about maybe being able to get access to a supply of the toxic fauna from his father's 'exotic vacation' coordinates for experimentation. But nope, nothing.
It was a piss off moment for me because like c'mon there's more to them than Cerberus

As cool as this DLC was, I found it laughable how the Shadow Broker and his subordinates kept acting like he was some kind of God-like figure. He wasn't even the first Shadow Broker. When he kills a Reaper, THEN he can act high and mighty around Shepard.

The Shadow Broker has information that could topple entire civilizations, even Cerberus information network was dependent on the Shadow Broker. He is a god in his own right.
Keep in mind, during Mass Effect 2, Jacob was the head of security at Lazarus Station.
So essentially he’s a kind of important grunt.
Jacob used to be part of a secret Alliance group called the Corsairs. Even Shepard didn't know about them, so it sounded pretty shady and secretive. Maybe they should have had the Broker reference that instead of just recycling the same line they used for Miranda.
And what an stellar job he did, he was abut to go to sleep when his station went into chaos and he was being held up by 3 mechs. He had no idea who even the traitor was.
Damn the Shadow Broker sounds exactly how I would imagine him to sound like. Cryptic, almost all knowing and a deep unsettling voice... that’s natural and not done by a Voice modulator.

He is the guy who is supposed to know EVERYTHING about EVERYONE. Of course Morinth can't fool him.
The Shadow Broker is so spot on on Tali's lack of leadership haha! On Freedom Progress, she is absolutely unable to control her lousy teamates who end up all killed or seriously wounded while on Haestrom, most of her team gets killed. She has a lot of "human" qualities, but having leadership is certainly not one of them!
However, the Shadow Broker fumbles in the dark about Jacob. He's neither important nor irreplaceable for Cerberus. He's merely a competent soldier and I doubt that the Illusive Man has a hard time recruiting them. Nice try Broker, nice try. :P
