- Welcome to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Roulette! In this series @MBT Yu-Gi-Oh! and I each spin a wheel featuring every Secret Pack in Master Duel. We then build decks using 20 of only those Secret Packs before playing a Match to determine that episode’s winner. The winner of each episode gets to decide if they want the first or second Secret Pack from the wheel during the next episode, but they must choose before seeing what the second spin lands on! He got some help from his influencer friend, The Phantom Knights Of Ragged Gloves, and his BIG MEATY HANDS
the fact that doug had to play vanilla poly and particle fusion because gem knight fusion is solo-mode locked was hillarious, double so since half the gem-knight fusions he pulled he couldn't play because the gem-knight vanillas are also locked behind the solo mode.

Looking at this brilliant summary, and looking at the wheel before the spins... Am I right in saying the Ties To Mother Nature pack has never once been on the wheel? Gusto is my favourite archetype and I'm looking forward to seeing it in this series but I feel like I'm not going to be able to see it :'(
@@JustMorfonica I wouldn't be surprised if he missed it, from what I've seen on the live streams for Roulette episodes he used some pretty old and faulty website to get the packs for the wheel (which is why that mishap with the Digital Bug solo mode happened), so there's a nonzero chance whatever site he used just didn't list it. He also tends to just reuse the same wheel and take things off of it instead of remaking the wheel wholesale each week, which would be a smart way to save time except it means reasonable mistakes can pile up from week to week (he's had the Superheavy Samurai pack still on the wheel for at least the last two weeks, for instance).
I figured something like that was probably the case, like it's fine mistakes happen just sucks that the pack I wanted to see the most was the one it happened to, and that the melodious pack which was the other one I was looking forward to fell by the wayside during episode 20, this series was clearly not meant to be for me 😂
@@JustMorfonica I would love Gusto too if nearly all of their best cards didn't miss timing when you actually do anything useful with them.
I swear MBT will just genuinely never lose unless he's scraping the bottom of the figurative card pack barrel. The man could play Genex turbo and Doug would still pull so ass compared to him he's gonna be able to make the deck look like the second coming of Christ incarnate.
MBT already lost with genex, it was hilarious. Not even MBT can make those playable.
Last week he tried doing that with Naturias but uhh didn't go well and his pulls were really decent

@@DeathToRain i think he's mostly fine as a player. probably not as familiar with alot of the jank older decks. not to mention they do their pulls and deck building on stream so i think they tend to go really fast which might cut down on being able to read every card and remember what they do while also keeping up with chat. and also just shitty pulls lmao

Master Duel hates Doug being happy, so after his only win in 20 weeks, it decided to give him the most dogshit pulls possible, from a pack that doesn't even have Gem-Knight Fusion in it.
Props to Joseph for committing to keeping the scythe in frame for the entire session 😂
So, I casually hover over the video before clicking it, and I see a Spider-Man costume on one of the web cams, and I swear I thought I was seeing things.

Man, such a bummer to see Adamancipators fall so hard in their wheel episode. The pure deck is honestly really fun and competent when it gets access to all of its cards against other janky decks, dragite is insane and the field spell just lets you do anything you want. But pulling only leonite, with no fires to even make it decent, and no researcher is just so sad. Loved the costumes though haha
Glad to see Doug as classic Yu Gi Oh card Revendread Slayer if only MBT could have kept in theme but he decided to dress as classic marvel character Grim Reaper
In this episode, Doug picks the pack that's half-playable and overpowered but entirely based on good SR draws, and the other half is mostly locked behind a gated deck. Meanwhile, MBT has a full archetype deck choice.
This is unrealistic because if spiderman dueled Joseph his spider sense would be going nuts the whole time due to how much of a threat Joseph

Sometimes I feel if the pulls are really bad they could be allowed to randomly craft a sr/ur from their pack. And with they I mean mainly dzeef
Not sure about that but I do think it might be worth letting them have the cards from the archtype in solo mode.

@@U1TR4F0RCE Add to that packs for stuff like Dark Magician and Blue Eyes are basically unplayable if you don't pull the UR vanilla monster all the support revolves around. Master Duel wasn't made with this in mind so some packs just don't work alone.
No. But they should allow to get the solo mode/legacy cards to some extent when really needed.
i think just letting them have one craft per week would suffice. alot of the times theyre just missing one single card or something to make it playable
Oh, this pack must be called Pyroxene Relinquished bacause in Japanese Relinquished's named is Sacrifice, and the Master Duel Devs just used search and replace to fix all the names to fit their translations. So its Sacrifice because the Gem Knight lore has them dying but still using their fragments to fuse and stuff, and they just control f'd all the Sacrifices and made them Relinquished instead. Remember Dark Spellians and "The A. Forces" in the story mode

Suggestion to dzeff for the series, make adjustments to the wheel . Like put in separate wheels the packs that have one archetype and the ones that have multiple. So you can make the matches a little more fair when it comes to pack opening . And alternate wheels with the weeks.

Pretty smart for MBT to put on stockings so no one will make fun of his feet again.
I’d love to see them spin the “Fires in this World and the Next” pack. It has Mayakashi, Shiranui and a few generic Zombie staples and I think depending on who got it and the pulls, someone could put together a pretty nutty deck.
But the Shiranuis are on the solo mode i think.

All the shirinuis are in the solo mode expect for sun and skill saga. But skill can be played in mayakashi sometimes so the only card you don't want in the pack is sunsaga. A somewhat playable mayakshi deck is possible. Though it is very high rarity for the actually playable monsters.

Imo solo mode cards related to the archetype should be allowed. Decks like Gem-Knights just don't work without them.

Kirin is alright, but there aren’t a lot of reasons to play it. Panda is the card that makes it worth playing to begin with and the other upside is that Kirin doesn’t have Horse Prince’s restriction. Speaking of Horse Prince, I actually rarely summon Rooster with it. I feel like Ram is a lot better.

Think you guys should allow solo mode cards to be used- that way the decks that rely on them are competitive.
I don't like the idea of drafting the rock pack from how much solo mode affects Gems.
If you'd opened super high end on Adamancipators there was a chance.

Its crazy how Doung was so excited for the archetype, and then turns out a lot of the necesary cards to make it work aren't even in the pack. oof
i feel like there needs to be some sort of clause about cards locked behind solo mode or something, especially after todays episode. Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong but I'm pretty sure every deck that had half or so of its extra deck locked behind solo mode just got destroyed because they couldn't make a real deck because key cards weren't usable. I get not wanting to allow ALL of the locked cards as it might lead to a deck too consistent or strong (ignoring MBT luck) but i feel some sort of reasonable compromise could be made. Maybe if you really feel you want to balance things maybe allow the solo mode cards at the cost of 5 pack openings if you choose to do so or something to make it not be a curb stomp either way whenever a solo mode locked pack is used.
